  • Baby (Middle) Names Suggestions?

My husband and I have been discussing names for our babies for a long time and still cannot come up with that ideal name.

We have four names picked out, 2 boys and 2 girls

    Boys:

Connor Charles - This name is set in stone.

Zachary _________ - This name is where we are having issues. What middle name would work??

-I've already suggested: Christopher Michael John Daniel Alexander Isaiah

-My husband is Hispanic and suggested Ignacio

    Girls:

Gianna Kathryn - This name is set in stone

Hannah _______ - This is the other name we are having trouble with:

-I've already suggested Mary, Paige, Elyse, Rachel, Christine, Eden, Jordyn, Celaney, Erin, Celine

    -My husband suggested Celeste

    Any other suggestions??

Just a request: My PREFERENCE is that Hannah's suggestions do not include A Names - her initials would be HAM - I only see teasing coming with that.

    Thanks!

  • Where Can I Find Support Groups For Infertility?

  • My dog eats rocks from my garden?!?

My dog, a lab/husky mix, LOVES our new house! The yard is absolutely huge and fenced in, which is great for him to run for hours!! He has also found a new love as well: eating the rocks from our gardens! He finds one about the size of his mouth and just gnaws on it while he is outside. What is so special about these rocks? Is he doing this because of a vitamin deficiency? My dalmation/lab does the same thing though not as often.

What do I do to hinder this? Thanks!

  • From Mundelein to Milwaukee?

I am going to Milwaukee next Wednesday and will be traveling up 94 between 5 and 7pm

What is the traffic like going up from Mundelein IL??

Please send any replies soon since the show is soon and I am searching for as many details as I can get as soon as possible.

My GPS and mapquest both say about an hour and 10 minutes or so but I want more personal responses from those who travel it regularly and who deal with the traffic.

    Thanks.

  • TTC Pre Planned Diet....?

When TTC, I know there is a diet and vitamin protocol that should be followed to help the body prepare for pregnancy.

Are there any pre set diets out there that would already outline a diet suggestion?

    Such as

Monday: Breakfast - 1 English Muffin with glass of orange juice

Lunch - Green salad with Light Dressing

    etc, etc....

I have the discipline to stick with what is suggested to me I just have NO creativity to think of the healthy alternatives to McD's drive through haha

Has anyone seen anything anywhere online?

    Thanks in advance...

  • What to do between ceremony and reception?

My best friend is marrying my husband's cousin. Being Matron Of Honor and Best Man, we need to be there to help when something comes up.

The church ceremony will go from 1-130PM. The reception does not start until 530PM.

What do we have the guests do for 4 hours??

    Any suggestions?

I already told my BFF to send out photography notices and have everyone stay around so they can take pictures with the bride and groom. There is also the possibility of trying to put together some sort of entertainment but what....

Please help. We still have time - the wedding is 9/24 but I dont want to put it off. My friend is nervous already about the time gap but there was nothing we could do... Any thoughts?

  • Increased Cervical Mucous While Sick....?

Does Cervical Mucous increase when one is sick?

I have a cold right now and maybe I'm imagining things but I seem to be much more moist below the belt.

My husband and I have been TTC for a while and it's something I was thinking of tonight while reading an article on the same subject.

Does me being sick and having more mucous present in the cervix and vaginal area, make it easier for us to conceive? Or does vaginal/cervical mucous have nothing to do with the type of mucous from my cold?

  • BBT Tracking Question?

I have just started tracking my BBT in order to TTC Baby #1. Hubby and I can't afford infertility treatments yet so we are trying to let nature take it's course.

    My question is this -

    My temperatures have been:

    97.33

    97.09

    97.33

    97.08

    97.22

    97.53

    **98.96**

    97.05

Why the jump and then drastic drop?

This is my first month tracking so I'm still learning.... but it's been kind of confusing so far...

    Any thoughts?

  • How do I get our families off of our backs to conceive our baby?

My husband and I have been married for about 7 months, but together for 11 years. I understand *why* people are in our faces about having babies but at this point it's upsetting both of us. We have been trying to conceive and thus far, nothing has happened.

No matter how often *every time we see them* we tell our families that "we are working on starting our families please stop asking," they keep doing it. This makes seeing the negative test results that much harder because of our hopes getting up on the fact that we might be, and all this pressure from other people who keep asking, "WHY ARENT YOU PREGNANT?? GET ON THE BALL - YOU NEED BABIES!"

And the pressure is CONSTANT - ESPECIALLY from my 92 year old Great Grandma - who wants to see her ONLY great great grandchild - of the existing 7 Great Great Grandchildren - to be born IN wedlock (Im Italian - and Catholic - the rest of my family members have children OUTSIDE of wedlock and since my babies will be in wedlock she is hounding on me to have the baby before she dies!! She even tried to give me a lecture at Christmas - so you want to get pregnant this is what you gotta do.... I LOVE MY MAMA VERY MUCH BUT REALLY?!?!)

Now, you have to understand the family - there are 13 cousins. Half of us (9 of them) have kids and started having them under the age of 19. Now there is me and my husband, I'm 26 he is 29. There's a lot of pressure already on the fact that we were getting married first, now they are pushing us on this!!! The adults in the family are going to glorify the babies because they are born in wedlock - the cousins and siblings are going to hate us and the baby because we will be seen as the GOLDEN FAMILY SO PRECIOUS IN EVERYONES EYES (my family is petty like that)

It doesn't do any good to try to ignore them, this just makes them angry. We have tried. Though if I had a nickel for every time someone asked us at Christmas "Are you pregnant?" I would be filthy rich!

How do I deflect their attention? I have already started to just put on a thick skin and not think about it but after so long, its inevitable - you're going to think about it.

What should I do without hurting feelings???

  • What name works best with this first name?

My husband and I are choosing names for our baby and we are stuck on what works with our boy's name we have picked out:

    Zachary

We are trying to figure out an uncommon, normal name.

It is a long tradition in my family that unless you are naming your child after a grandparent or it is a generational name, you don't repeat names. This being the case, here are the names we CANNOT use and the starred names are Grandparents or Generational (namesakes from many generations back).

    _______________________________________________________________

    Daniel* - Orlando - Wesley - Angel

    Roman - Miguel/Michael - Stanley - Arthur

    Donald - Jose - Ta - Steven

    Ian - Albert - Logan - Richard

    Braedan - Mark - Devin - Caleb

    Ronald - Harrison - Fredrick* - James

    John - Timothy - Thomas - Josef

    Christopher - Cody - Gary - Dominick

    Gregory - Bryan/Brian - Justin - Andrew

    Hunter - David - Brandon - Casey

    Jonathon/John - Shawn - Robert - Jaime - Ryan

Its difficult, I know, but being creative will get past that issue.

Please help me get past this road block!!!!!

So far we have Jordan, Alexander and Mason picked but we want more options to play around with...

Thanks for your help! (Please don't suggest I break the tradition in names and name him whatever I want, this is important to myself and my family because we see this as each person having their own identity and personality. Those named after Grandparents or namesakes have an honorable first name and a different middle name that again no one else in the family has.)

  • Help with a dress for a wedding.?

I am reading a bible verse for my cousins wedding on Saturday. She asked me to match her wedding colors so I need to find a dress that is Clover green (Davids Bridal). I didnt have time to try to order anything from Davids but I *have* been looking since she asked me about a month ago to do this reading.

I have NO IDEA what to wear.... what is appropriate???? I've always been the bridesmaid or (this year) the Bride. I dont know what to wear when you are outside of the wedding party! LOL Sounds ridiculous but I am going nuts. Something Modest but fun.... any sites to view dresses at would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Processional Songs for My Wedding on 6/20/09?

I am looking for an instrumental song, non traditional (NO wedding march or classical music suggestions please) I am VERY interested in Jim Brickman instrumentals but my fiance says he would like to hear something with a little more "oomph" to it, that truly says "HEY pay attention, she's coming"

I agree, I want to have the song provide a little pizazz so my dad doesnt get down about walking me down the aisle, but trying to find songs is nearly impossible.

Any suggestions? I do not want songs with words, just instrumental.

    Thank you

  • Rehearsal Dinner Paid For by FH's Parents....?

How do I get my future in laws to pay for the rehearsal? My family is paying for EVERYTHING (and i literally mean EVERYTHING else) and I want to ask them tactfully without saying that it's expected. They had hinted at the fact that they wouldn't be paying for the reception, but is the rehearsal ok enough to ask them to cover? I dont care if we have pizza and beer (i might actually enjoy it) but how do i approach it?

I've asked my FH to talk to his parents and he says "I Will" and doesnt call.

Ideas or personal experiences? I am the type of woman to do it myself and say something but this is where I dont want to offend future in laws...

  • Wedding Bouquet Oomph?

I purchased silk flowers today to make my example bouquet and I used a dozen white carnations on the outside 1/2 dozen large white roses in second layer and 1 single burgundy rose for center.

Now that I look at it, the carnations are a little dull. What can I add that gives it a little bit of flair? I DO NOT want lillies

If you want to see a picture of the bouquet itself, email me and I'll be happy to show you

  • Credit Question for Saving and Recovering a Bad or No Score?

I am 25 and I have no credit - or I have bad credit - I am not sure which it is considered. I had a couple of car accidents over the past couple years one in 01 and one in 07 - both accidents left me with medical bills that I have not been able to afford to pay and are now in collections.

So now that my fiance and I are trying to look for homes and start our lives together i have NO credit to establish a life with. I have NEVER had credit cards and I have been paying these debts off slowly but even after they are paid the report still says I was delinquent and its ruining everything I want to do.

How do I correct this? How to I re establish my credit without having to get a credit card?

any suggestions? all the local flower shops i have said look at the website and i have and they all have pretty vague pictures and descriptions.

    Thanks in advance

  • Financial Crisis For Our Wedding - I've Waited 10 Years!?

We have been together for 10 years this Christmas and we got engaged in July. My parents (to make a long story short) cannot afford to pay anything towards our wedding. My future in laws cannot afford anything either and this means it's left up to my FH and I to pay for the big day. We do not mind this because we care about our friends and family being there with us but how do I TACTFULLY ask relatives and friends to help us pay for the day instead of giving a gift?

We truly want this to happen and we are not willing to downsize or to cut corners anywhere. This is how we've planned it for the last 8 of 10 years and excruciatingly important to us.

Any suggestions? The wedding is June 27th and we don't even have the hall booked yet because of this!!!!

  • What do you think of having Noel as a boys name to carry on a dying last name?

I am one of three girls. My two sisters both have daughters. My dad is quickly in fear of losing his last name as none of us will keep it when we get married. What is everyone's thoughts of Using Noel as a boys name? (pronounce it knoll) and Noel (pronounced as it should be - NO EL) for a girls name? My fiance and I have discussed names and he quickly rejected ANY idea of it but I want to carry on the last name. Any thoughts?
