If some large goat ate the universe today that we would not find out for 14 billion years?
We can see the remote universe as it was billions of years ago. But what does it look like today?

1 AnswerJokes & Riddles6 years agoHow long will it take for the universe to double in volume from its current size?
Assuming we measure it from the outside.
The volume is possibly 4/3 PI R cubed where R is 14 billion light years right?
R increases at the speed of light.
So doesn't that mean that the volume increases faster and faster as time goes on?
Assume 14billion light years as r that corresponds to the current volume V.
The r2 = 2^(1/3) * r1. = 1.26* 14billion light years right?
But when we were much younger say one light year it took only 1.26 light years to double in volume.
Even though the amount of new "void" space occupied each year is increasing faster and faster as the volume of a larger and larger one light year shell the volume doubling rate has to slow down.
Whats "dark" about that?
4 AnswersAstronomy & Space9 years agoWhat are the true dimensions?
If the real physic has more than 3 dimensions how do we know the 3 familiar spacial dimensions are aligned with 3 of the "true" dimensions? In fact wouldn't it make sense that information would tend to fill all the available dimensions? Meaning that when we measure through our known 3 dimensions we are actually measuring in N diimensions where several indices are constant.
