I work at a coffee chain store in California that recently was franchised to a private owner. At the time of transition, we were fired by the corporate store and rehired by the new franchiser. The only paper work we filled out was an application, a W-4 and an I-9. There was no terms of employment, no employee handbook, nothing! They took away time and a half for holidays, health benefits, paid time off, etc etc. It's time for me to move on but I need some kind of security blanket. Is this a violation of labor laws? Will unemployment cover me if I leave the company?

If a batter gets on base by getting HBP, does it count towards their OBP (and OPS)?

I still use hotmail, although I'm not a huge fan of it. It seems like a lot of people are using gmail instead. What happened to all the hotmail users? Did I miss something?

Ok, so this might be a Vista issue because I'm really not that stupid but here's my story.

I made a password. I rebooted computer. I tried entering password but it does not work. I did not make a backup disc with password on it. I have looked online and it seems the only information is that I have to create some kind of reboot disc from another computer and insert it into my computer. This costs money and more computer expertise than I have. Any other problem solvers that can lend some advice, tips or solutions? Thanks!

This is going on my resume. I don't trust the grammar check. Is this too much information in one sentence?

I've never been able to get into these shows wether it was ER, Chicago Hope, etc., and now Grey's Anatomy. Furthermore, any real doctors wanna speak out on wether this is a true characterization of hospital life? Just curious.
