  • What do you think about the NWT translation of Jude 5?

    NWT

    Notice the word "Jehovah"

5 I desire to remind YOU, despite YOUR knowing all things once for all time, that Jehovah, although he saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterwards destroyed those not showing faith.

Also, notice in verse 14 the use of the word "Jehovah"

14 Yes, the seventh one [in line] from Adam, E´noch, prophesied also regarding them, when he said: “Look! Jehovah came with his holy myriads,

Now look at verse 21 where it says "Lord" Jesus Christ...

keep yourselves in God’s love, while YOU are waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ with everlasting life in view.

Did the NWT society miss this one? I think so. The word in each case is "kuvrioß" And they chose not to follow their translation rules when rendering it into English simply because it would not fit their agenda to deny the deity of Christ. What do you think?

  • In Your Opinion, based on the NWT, who is strateching out the Heavens?

Who do you think is stretching out the Heavens based on the NWT? Do you think it matches their theory on Jesus, that He is created?

The WTS teaching states that although in John 1:1 Jesus was with Jehovah in the beginning, He is not God in the flesh. They point to Col 1:15-18 where they insert the word [other] and maintain Jehovah created Jesus, then Jesus created all [other] things

However, at Isaiah 44:24, the Society’s New World Translation states: “I, Jehovah, am doing everything, stretching out the heavens by myself, laying out the earth. Who was with me?”

Since no one was “with” Jehovah when He created the earth, Jesus must be Jehovah God!

    So what do you think?

  • Are JWs guilty of the unforgivable sin?

Matt. 12:22-32 says, "Then there was brought to Him a demon-possessed man who was blind and dumb, and He healed him, so that the dumb man spoke and saw. 23And all the multitudes were amazed, and began to say, "This man cannot be the Son of David, can he?" 24But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This man casts out demons only by Beelzebub the ruler of the demons." 25And knowing their thoughts He said to them, "Any kingdom divided against itself is laid waste; and any city or house divided against itself shall not stand. 26"And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how then shall his kingdom stand? 27"And if I by Beelzebub cast out demons, by whom do your sons cast them out? Consequently they shall be your judges. 28"But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29"Or how can anyone enter the strong man’s house and carry off his property, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house. 30"He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters. 31"Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. 32"And whoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever shall speak against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age, or in the age to come," (All Scripture quotes are from the NASB).

Since the Watchtower has replaced the Holy Spirit as God's active force and inserted themselves in the baptism as God's Spirit-Directed Organization and removing the Holy Spirit altogether.

    Is this a unforgivable sin?

  • JW's who are the true 144,000?

According to Matthew 19:28 who are the twelve tribes the diciples will Judge?

Here is a hint. In Revelation 6, we learn the sixth seal is opened. So why is it that Revelation 7 says that the 12 tribes mentioned are only sealed after the sixth seal is opened? How could Paul and the others be part of that group since they like the other Christians were already sealed?

For your reference, please note Rev 7:1-4 from the NWT

1 After this I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding tight the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow upon the earth or upon the sea or upon any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the sunrising, having a seal of [the] living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,

3 saying: “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until after we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.”

4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel:

    ***Quote:

The Watchtower Reprints, November 11, 1879,p. 48 ‘“Let all the angels of God worship him’; (that must include Michael, the chief angel, hence Michael is not the Son of God)”

Seems the early history of your organization didn't believe so. Surely the "Faithful and discreet slave" couldn't be wrong on something of this magnitude even if the "light gets brighter". To teach that would be blasphemy!!!

So in light of this, how can they be the same if the WT previously said they were not?

  • JW's why did the WTS teach Jesus returned in 1914?

Compare inspired bible scripture versus WTS uninspired teaching and what do you get?

    From your very own NWT....

  • JW's have you studied Romans 13:1-7 versus WTS teaching?

Look at the scripture pointed out and answer if you have ever compared inspired scripture to the uninspired teaching of the WTS. How do you compare it?

1 Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God

2 Therefore he who opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves.

    3 For those ruling are an object of fear, not to the good deed, but to the bad. Do you, then, want to have no fear of the authority? Keep doing good, and you will have praise from it;

4 for it is God’s minister to you for your good. But if you are doing what is bad, be in fear: for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword; for it is God’s minister, an avenger to express wrath upon the one practicing what is bad.

5 There is therefore compelling reason for YOU people to be in subjection, not only on account of that wrath but also on account of [YOUR] conscience.

6 For that is why YOU are also paying taxes; for they are God’s public servants constantly serving this very purpose.

7 Render to all their dues, to him who [calls for] the tax, the tax; to him who [calls for] the tribute, the tribute; to him who [calls for] fear, such fear; to him who [calls for] honor, such honor.

Three times Paul says that all human governments exist because God put them in power. He said it in three different ways in Greek, to drive the point home:

    1) Governing authorities are υπο θεου, "from God" (verse 1)

    2) Governing authorities are υπο θεου τεταγμεναι, "established by God" (verse 1, τεταγμεναι is the perfect passive participle form of τασσω)

    3) Governing authorities are τη του θεου διαταγη, "the ordinance of God" (verse 2, διαταγη is a noun derived from διατασσω

Three times Paul says that all human governments are God's minister, God's servant -- governments work directly for God. He used two different nouns for this in Greek, to drive the point home:

    1) διακονος "minister" (singular, twice in verse 4)

    2) λειτουργοι "servants" (plural of λειτουργος, verse 6)

    Here are my questions.

    1) What exactly does Paul mean by saying three times in three different ways that all human governments are set up, established, put into place, by God?

    2) How can this be reconciled with the Watchtower Society's dogma that all human governments have their origin in man's rebellion against God's sovereignty starting back in Eden?

    3) What exactly does Paul mean by saying three times in two different ways that all human governments are God's minister, are God's servants, that they all work for God?

    4) How can this be reconciled with the Watchtower Society's dogma that all human governments are under Satan's control, and thus work for Satan, not for God?

  • JW's, Who is Your Mediator?

Do you not think the Watchtower teaches wrongly? Look...

“Worldwide Security Under the Prince of Peace” page 10:

“Jesus Christ is not the Mediator between Jehovah God and all mankind. He is the Mediator between his heavenly Father, Jehovah God, and the nation of spiritual Israel which is limited to only 144,000 members.”

As a Jehovah's Witness, you do not qualify to have Jesus for your mediator unless you belong to the small, elite group of the remnant of the 144K (which would be less than 9000 today). That means you are stuck with the boys in Brooklyn, who are dying off, as YOUR mediator.

They are already preparing the faithful to accept members of the earthly “other sheep” in positions once reserved for the elite. When they are all dead, you will have no Mediator!

Why not give your heart directly to Jesus since the organization cannot save you?

  • JW's Will Everyone be ressurrected?

    According to the scriptures, yes!

    Jesus said so:

    John 5:28-29

28 Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming when all who are in the tombs will hear his voice

29 and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.

    Paul said so:

    Act 24:14-15

14 But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, I worship the God of our fathers, believing everything laid down by the Law and written in the Prophets,

15 having a hope in God, which these men themselves accept, that there will be a resurrection of both the just and the unjust.

So why does the WT teach that only some will be resurrected?

  • JW's does Jehovah approve Spiritualism?

1919 was the year that the WT became the faithful and wise servant. So did the men in the WT who marketed and promoted the book "Angels and Women" (1924 Golden Age) who were suppose to be of the anointed class go to heaven marketing a book on spiritualism? Including all the governing body members? Does Jehovah approve of spiritualism?

    ***Quote:

    Review of Book

"ANGELS AND WOMEN" is the title of a book just off the press. It is a reproduction and revision off [sic] the novel, "Seola" which was written in 1878, and which deals with conditions prior to the flood.

Pastor Russell read this book with keen interest, and requested some of his friends to read it because of its striking harmony with the Scriptural account of the sons of God described in the sixth chapter of Genesis. Those sons of God became evil, and debauched the human family prior to, and up to, the time of the great deluge. We call attention to this book because we believe it will be of interest to Bible Students, who are familiar with the machinations of the devil and the demons and with the influence exercised by them prior to the flood and also now in this evil day. The book throws light on the subject and it is believed, will aid those who carefully consider it to avoid the baneful effects of spiritism, now so prevalent in the world.

The book is revised and published by a personal friend of Pastor Russell, and one who was close to him in his work. It is published by the A. B. Abac Company, New York city.

The publishers advise that the regular price of this book is $2.00; but to all subscribers of THE GOLDEN AGE, it will be furnished at $1.00 per volume, when ordered in lots of ten or more. This is not an advertisement, but a voluntary comment. ***

    Angels and Women

WE PRESENT some letters regarding this book (a review of which recently appeared in our columns) which we feel sure will be of interest to many of our readers:

    TO THE GOLDEN AGE:

Pardon me for taking this much of your time on what may be so simple a matter; but I was approached about going into a club to get a certain book called, "Angels and Women". I made some inquiries, and was told that it was a book that a fallen angel dictated to a woman, showing a desire to come back into harmony with God; and that Pastor Russell approved of the book. I had never heard of the book before; and as we are to shun anything akin to spiritism I should like to know positively whether the book has your approval before buying one; so if it is not asking too much would like a reply.

    (Mrs.) W.S.Davis, Los Angeles, Cal.

    To THE GOLDEN AGE:

With much pleasure and profit has the book, "Angels and Women" been read by many Truth friends. It contains so much to encourage one to loyalty and faith in God.

Do you think that it would be a real service to purchase these books in quantities of ten or more copies at a time so as to get the special $1 per copy rate, which you have so kindly secured for us, and thus to have them on hand as Christmas and birthday presents or for other gift occasions to give to our relatives and friends, whom we may have been unable to otherwise interest in Present Truth or only slightly so?

Would not some be disposed to read a fascinating novel of this kind, who might not be able to get first interested in "The Harp" or STUDIES?

Would this not be considered one way of instructing the people about matters concerning which there is so much ignorance, and direct them to the real Bible Keys, the WATCH TOWER publications?

Should we send such orders to THE GOLDEN AGE?

If not, will you kindly give us the complete address of the A. B. Abac Company? There are many who would like to get a little more information regarding these items.

    An Appreciative Reader

    Reply

TO BOTH above letters we reply as follows:

When Pastor Russell was here, he read a book dealing with conditions that obtained prior to the Flood. He requested some other brethren to read it. It was so much in harmony with the Bible account of the fallen angels that he regarded the book as remarkable. Under his supervision it was revised, and later published by one who was formerly his confidential associate. The new book is published under the title "Angels and Women". Scriptural citations are given. An appendix is added. Pastor Russell remarked that at some opportune time the book, revised, should be published.

As to its being a violation of the Vow to read this book, such idea is not worthy of consideration. It would be no more wrong to read it than to read "What Say the Scriptures about Spiritism" or "Talking with the Dead"; for both these books quote much as to what the evil spirits do. Many have derived much benefit from reading "Angels and Women" because it aids in getting a clearer vision of how Satan overreached the angels and overreached the human race, and caused all the havoc amongst men and the angels. It helps one to better understanding of the devil's organization.

The book is published by the A. B. Abac Company, Madison Square, P.O.Box 101, New York City, N.Y.

THE GOLDEN AGE does not handle the publication; but all who desire it should write directly to the publisher at the above address. ***

Again, why is this book even mentioned in the pages of the WT?? And why would the New World Translation Committee use a know spiritualist to help them with the NWT? Does Jehovah approve of this and did those people go to heaven?

Watchtower 1955 October 1 p.603 Part 3: What Do the Scriptures Say About "Survival After Death"?

It comes as no surprise that one Johannes Greber, a former Catholic clergyman, has become a spiritualist and has published the book entitled "Communication with the Spirit World, Its laws and Its Purpose." (1932, Macoy Publishing Company, New York) In its Foreword he makes the typical misstatement: "The most significant spiritualistic book is the Bible; for its principal contents hinge upon the messages of the beyond to those existing in the present. ***

    ***Quote:

Watchtower 1956 February 15 pp.110-1 Triumphing over Wicked Spirit Forces

10 Says Johannes Greber in the introduction of his translation of The New Testament, copyrighted in 1937: "I myself was a Catholic priest, and until I was forty-eight years old had never as much as believed in the possibility of communicating with the world of God's spirits. The day came, however, when I involuntarily took my first step toward such communication, and experienced things that shook me to the depths of my soul. . . . My experiences are related in a book that has appeared in both German and English and bears the title, Communication with the Spirit-World: Its Laws and Its Purpose." (Page 15, ¶ 2, 3) In keeping with his Roman Catholic extraction Greber's translation is bound with a gold-leaf cross on its stiff front cover. In the Foreword of his aforementioned book ex-priest Greber says: "The most significant spiritualistic book is the Bible." Under this impression Greber endeavors to make his New Testament translation read very spiritualistic.

11 Spiritualism claims that there are good spirits and bad spirits and that it does not want to have anything to do with the bad spirits but tries to communicate only with the good spirits. At 1 John 4:1-3 the Bible says: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world." Greber's translation of these verses reads: "My dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to learn whether they come from God. For many false spirits have emerged from the abyss and gone out into the world, and are speaking through human mediums. This is how you can find out whether a spirit comes from God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ appeared on earth as a man, comes from God. While every spirit who seeks to destroy belief in Jesus as our Lord incarnated does not come from God, but is sent by the adversary of Christ. You have been told that such spirits would come, and they are already appearing in the world." Very plainly the spirits in which ex-priest Greber believes helped him in his translation. ***

    Questions From Readers

    • Why, in recent years, has The Watchtower not made use of the translation by the former Catholic priest, Johannes Greber?

This translation was used occasionally in support of renderings of Matthew 27:52, 53 and John 1:1, as given in the New World Translation and other authoritative Bible versions. But as indicated in a foreword to the 1980 edition of The New Testament by Johannes Greber, this translator relied on "God's Spirit World" to clarify for him how he should translate difficult passages. It is stated: "His wife, a medium of God's Spiritworld was often instrumental in conveying the correct answers from God's Messengers to Pastor Greber." The Watchtower has deemed it improper to make use of a translation that has such a close rapport with spiritism. (Deuteronomy 18:10-12) The scholarship that forms the basis for the rendering of the above-cited texts in the New World Translation is sound and for this reason does not depend at all on Greber's translation for authority. Nothing is lost, therefore, by ceasing to use his New Testament. ***

What's really shameful is that the WT tried to lie about just finding out about Greber being a spirit medium in 1983. When they've know since 1955 and quoted Greber after they knew that he was the Devil! This is why I have a problem when someone comes to my door and say that they have the truth! There is nothing truthful about the above quotes from the WT. If that's the truth, does Jehovah approve of spiritualism?

The literature published by the Watch Tower Society is published in the name of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society. Regardless of who may write certain articles, they are checked carefully by members of the governing body before they are published; so they are properly viewed as coming from the Society.

So the governing body of the WT approves of this material that's in the WT publications and did they go to heaven for pratcing spiritualism? And does Jehovah approve of spiritualism?

Their educational qualifications = the spirit world.

Again the Lord sent his angel to carry out matters of great importance as pertaining to his people on earth. • JW's does new light requalify people?

Since the WTS has received "new light" regarding the 1914 generation, and completely changed their views on this, does this mean that all the former Witnesses who were disfellowshipped years ago for the same view the organization is now teaching will automatically be accepted back into fellowship again? Were these ex-Witnesses in fact disfellowshipped for what is now taught as "the Truth"?

Does it not bother you that what you are taught now could be changed years later due to "new light", and if you are dead, you can't change anything?

  • JW's are you concious after death?

The WT teaches there is no consciousness after you die. How could the "spirits in prison", who lived during “Noah’s days”, be preached to by Christ after His death (1Pet 3:18-20)? Also, could the good news be "declared also to the dead" (1 Pet 4:5-6)?

If the “spirits in prison” of 1Pet 3:19 refers to demonic angels, instead of the just people who died before the resurrection of Christ, then why would Jesus “preach” to demonic angels?

The Wt is lying to you, will you run to the true Gospel?

  • JWs do you worship Jesus?

The NWT changes the greek word to obesiance in every instance to Jesus due to its agenda against Him. The WT says that "obeisance" is just respect. If “obesiance” is just respect, why did Peter reject it in Acts 10:25-26?

Acts 10:25-26 NWT reads: As Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell down at his feet and did obeisance to him. But Peter lifted him up, saying: “Rise; I myself am also a man.”

It is because it should be renedered worship, just as it should have been to Jesus since He is God in the flesh. Will you run from the false teachings of the Watchtower?

  • JWs did you read this in Zechariah?

    Zech 2:10-11 from NWT

10 "Cry out loudly and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for here I am coming, and I will reside in the midst of you," is the utterance of Jehovah. 11 "And many nations will certainly become joined to Jehovah in that day, and they will actually become my people; and I will reside in the midst of you." And you will have to know that Jehovah of armies himself has sent me to you.

Here are 4 questions, all with the same answer...

Who said daughter of Zion rejoice for I am coming?

Who said when He is in their midst, they will know that Jehovah of armies Himself has sent me to you?

Who was speaking from verse 10 to 11?

    Who is the sender here?

The answer in each case is Jesus. Will you run from the false Jesus of the Watchtower?

  • JWs did you know this about 1st Peter?

As a rule, the New World Translation always renders "Kurios" in the Greek New Testament as "Jehovah" when it refers to the Father, but "Lord" when it refers to Jesus Christ. Wherever the New Testament quotes the Old Testament, the New World translators could tell whether to use "Lord" or "Jehovah" by noticing if the Hebrew word which the New Testament quoted was "Jehovah."

In I Peter 2:3, however, they faced a real problem. The passage quotes Psalm 34:8: "Taste and see that Jehovah is good..." (New World Translation). In I Peter 2:3, they translated: "Provided you have tasted that the Lord is kind." Why did they not follow their rule and translate, "Jehovah is kind?" Read on in I Peter and you will find that the passage is referring to Christ. To hide the fact that Jehovah of the Old Testament is the Lord Jesus Christ, the New World Translation broke its rule and used "Lord" in I Peter to translate "Jehovah" in the Old Testament passage.

Will you run from the WT false teachings?
