  • Does anyone know the name of this anime?

There is a guy who is infatuated with Zombie movies, and when his Cat gets run over and dies, he tries turning it into a Zombie with the help of an old book he found. In the process, he meets a girl, the daughter of a rich guy who is an extremely controlling father who likes to take nude photos of her. She tries poisoning herself with the Zombie potion that was made by the guy with the cat. The potion doesn't kill her, but she turns into a Zombie when she dies after her father accidentally pushes her off a cliff.

  • Can I get Fuji Apple fruit preserves that's not made in China?

For reasons I won't go into here, my neighbor has been doing my grocery shopping for me, and she has been bringing me Polar brand Fuji Apple fruit preserves, and it's really good, but then I read the label, "Product of China", so God only knows what's been done to it.

Does anybody know if anybody makes it in the US, or a more trustworthy locale?

  • If VCRs are now dinosaurs, how would I do this today?

Back in 1989, I was working two jobs, and going back to my parent's place for the weekend, so I would throw an 8-hour tape in the VCR, and it would record all of my favorite shows during the week. On Friday, I would take the tape to my parent's place and watch it there.

I need to something similar again, record all my favorite shows during the week and then watch them somewhere else on the weekend, so how would I accomplish this today? Thanks to a certain cable company, there is no internet access at my destination.

  • Brand new Nordicware Aluminium baking pan got put in Dishwasher, it's now gray, how to turn it silver again?

My girlfriend can be an idiot at times, and this was one of them. I bought myself a new "professional" Nordicware Aluminium baking pan. Instead of hand washing the pan in warm water, like I asked her to, she put it in the dishwasher, where it turned gray. So, how does she make it turn silver again?

  • Is there any medical reason why a person's sweat should start smelling like chlorine bleach?

He feels fine, but he smells like someone dumped a bottle of bleach on him.

  • Can they force me to give it back, collateral on loan, had it over 30 years?

Back in the late 1970's I had a deadbeat friend who borrowed money from me, at the time, he had a high end quadrasonic (early 4 channel surround sound) receiver. Knowing I'd never get my money back, I made a verbal agreement with him to take the receiver and hold it for collateral.

Fast forward to today, I still have the receiver, and my deadbeat friend is dieing in the hospital. He hasn't talked to me since I got the receiver. He must have told one of his relatives that he gave me the receiver, because one of them showed up at my house yesterday demanding it back. He says that my deadbeat friend only loaned me the receiver, and now wants it back. Apparently, this receiver is now very rare and is supposedly worth a lot of money. I told him of the loan and he said that since I have nothing in writing, I have no proof, and he is threatening to take me to court.

I don't have the money to hire a lawyer to check to see if his claim is valid, but I'll go to hell before I'll give it back. Can he legally do this?

  • Why do people insist on calling me a bum?

I've been unemployed for quite a while, during that time, my Mother has gotten sick, so being the only one in my family that had no job, I became her caregiver. It has become a full-time job with no benefits and no pay. I have been running the household on her Social Security Payments and savings, both hers and mine. Now the savings is about to run out, and I am going to have to apply for Food Stamps and whatever other government benefits I can get.

Now people are telling me I am a bum, and should get a job, what they fail to understand is that I do have a job, it just doesn't pay anything. Why should they judge me?

  • USPS problem, what do I do now?

Yesterday, I got a letter from a bank marked "Personal and Confidential", so I opened it, and it was, problem is, I wasn't supposed to get it, it was supposed to go to a house two streets over with the same house number as mine.

Looking back, I should have looked at the address on the envelope, but I didn't, I simply opened it without thinking. So, now what do I do?

  • Looking to buy new dishwasher, noticed something odd, can someone explain?

Went to a store to see what kind of dishwashers they had. The store had 4 isles of dishwashers, in one isle they had an Amana dishwasher, in another, there was a Magic Chef. They were both built by Whirlpool, the only difference I could see between the two was the name, Yet, the Amana was $249 and the Magic Chef was $219.

Can a name be worth $30?

  • Is it possible to get a name off of a junk mail list?

My Father, who died in 1995, has just now started getting a lot of junk mail. The problem is that getting mail addressed to him upsets my Mother. I've been intercepting the mail before Ma gets it, and removing the ones that are addressed to my Father. The problem is that she sometimes gets to the mail before I do.

The problem is that I can't just go to the Post Office and tell them not to deliver any mail addressed to him, since some of his relatives send us mail addressed to him, something I can't get them to stop despite my best efforts.

  • Very personal job interview question, I'll answer if I have to, but feel it's none of their business?

Like many others, I've been laid-off, and am now searching for work, the last time I did a work search was nearly 20 years ago. I'm in my early 50s, and have never been married, just never felt the need for long-term female companionship.

So far, I have had two interviews, and both have asked the same question, "Why have you never been married?" I've always answered the question, but something about it makes me feel uncomfortable, and I really don't feel it is any of their business. How can I politely avoid answering the question, and other than my age, could my answer be one of the reasons I've never heard from them again?

  • I read in an article that potential employers will "Google" a candidate. I'm not listed, is this a red flag?

After reading the article, I Googled myself, and it came back with nothing, did the same thing with Yahoo and there were no results there either. Would a potential employer see this as a red flag?

I have a Linkedin and Facebook page, but neither of them show up on Google or Yahoo.

  • I replaced most of my incandescent light bulbs in my house with CFLs, my electric bill didn't go down. Why?

The only places that still have incandescents are the kitchen, the dining area, Mother and Girlfriend said they made the food look "funny", and where the lights are connected to a dimmer switch.

From the time I've started this project, until now, I have yet to see any significant change in my electric bill, and, despite their increased initial cost, the CFLs don't seem to last that much longer than the incandescents they replaced.

I'm beginning to think this is all a big scam, am I correct?

  • Why am I getting "Best Answer" on questions I've answered over three years ago?

All the questions were put up to a vote, but you would think a question that old would have been deleted long ago.

  • Where can I find this type of Answering Machine?

Back in 1997, I bought an answering machine that had a wonderful feature, it used the time and date information from Caller ID to timestamp the message. It also recorded the originating phone number, and played it all back when when you retrieved the messages.

I'm looking to find a machine with similar features, does anyone still make anything like that, and if so, where can I get one? (I don't want voicemail for reasons I won't go into here)

  • I'm not married, and I don't have any kids. Why do people at work think I can subistitute for them?

When they leave early from work to take their kids to their various sports activities.

I finally complained to my boss, and he said, "Well they have family responsibilities". So, because I don't have a family, my private time is less valuable then theirs?
