Need suggestions on laptop within the range of $1000(maximum ) .

Requirements

1. atleast 250 gb Hard disk

2. 4 gig ram or better

3. Dedicated graphic card(512 mb or more and not prone to hardware issues )

4. Wifi capability (compulsory )

5. A good-powerful processor (doesn't have to be the bleeding edge of new technology)

6. Battery life 3 hours or better (compulsory )

Unlikely to find a match meeting all the requirements.

Will be using it mostly for playing games in free time as well as the occasional university course related work.

Ive got a lot of data stored in My Ipod classic(120gig) and i need to restore my ipod.

I'm willing to lose the music on it but i need to keep the other files I saved on its hard-disk(Mostly lecture notes,portable applications i stored on its disk).

Will i lose the other files along with the music if i restore?

(I don't have any space to backup the data elsewhere)

Whenever i copy files from pendrives or other usb storage devices the files fail to copy or if they do copy , theres a drastic loss in video or audio quality of files.

However there is no problem when it comes to writing things to storage devices using the usb drive.

Is there any way to fix this problem or a software that could handle the copying and transfer of files to usb related devices?

Im planning to buy a 360 (my reasons to buy one are my own, try not to go overbaord with console war thing )

I am a huge fan of the Metal Gear series and would hate to be disappointed if if guns of the patriots doesn't show up on the 360.

Konami has said stuff bout it being a ps3 exclusive but i dont think that Konami will be able to ignore the huge 360 community. I'm hoping for a port over(even if it's slightly delayed ) or a side-by-side release on the 360 and ps3(not likely but just hoping).

Axxo gives only avi files , his torrents have only 3 files , no more no less. HE NEVER works with zipped/rared files. Ive seen a lot of fake 300 axxo torrent. give link to site where u saw/got the torrent

This is a screenshot of my XP desktop.How convincing is the vista effect?

Ive installed the vista sidebar in my XP computer , but it wont load any parts like the clock. it keeps giving me an error saying-

Unable to load"C:\Documents and Settings\1\Parts\AnalogClock.part"

Can some one tell me what to do to make it work? Step by step if possible
