36, married, one stepson, no children of my own. I'm a parole officer for the state of Tennessee, and I may be the most boring human being you've ever met, but somebody has to be, right?

  • What was the name of the TV show from the early-mid 00s that revolved around a record/music store?

I remember there was a young guy who worked there, his mother or aunt may have actually owned the store. There was also a young "goth chick" who worked there, if I remember correctly. I think it was on Fox, but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help!

  • Who is singing the high part for Kiss on the song "Crazy Nights" these days?

I know it isn't Paul. I was thinking it had to be either Eric or Tommy. I like it, and I've never heard it so clear and pronounced before. I've been watching some of their videos on YouTube from the European leg of the Sonic Boom tour, and I haven't been able to tell who is singing that part. Thanks!

  • What kind of shrimp do you use for catfishing?

I've never used shrimp before, and had planned to this weekend, but when I went to the grocery store, there were so many different kinds of shrimp to choose from, I didn't know which kind to buy, or if it even mattered which kind I used. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • How fast does a 1/4oz jig head sink (on average)?

I know there's some kind of way to count the seconds after the drop and figure the depth, but I don't know what it is. I like using 1/4oz Road Runners (stump jumpers) with Colorado blades, but I never know a good way to figure my depth. I also use 1/8oz as well, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!

  • Can someone tell me about marshmallow & mealworm bait?

I've fished with mealworms for bluegills, but I've just recently heard of using marshmallows & mealworms for a catfish bait. Is there any special way you should arrange them on the hook? Does anyone in the southeast US use this bait, and if so, is it effective? Any details would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • If I buy a new fish finder, can I still use my old transducer?

I have an old (late 80s-early 90s) Humminbird finder and was looking to upgrade. If I get a new Humminbird (looking at a 525 or Piranha), can I continue to use the same transducer, or do I need to us the one that comes with the new finder? Will I be able to use the same mount/bracket that's already on my boat (at the bottom of the transom)? Also, if I decide to go with a brand besides Humminbird, will I need to remount another new bracket, or are all the brackets pretty much alike? I'm trying to save time, money, and holes in my boat. Thanks everybody!

  • What species of fish do you prefer to fish for in Tennessee?

I have started a Yahoo group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/tennesseefishing/ and that is my first poll question I have up. This is a grassroots group, and I hope to bring together fishermen and women of all ages, skill levels, and preferred species. I'd love to hear from as many Tennessee anglers as possible, and I'd love to have you join my group. Thanks everyone!

  • Crosby, Malkin, & Staal or LeCavalier, St. Louis, & Richards?

Which three would you rather have? I don't know, but it seems to me like those three in Tampa get overlooked a lot.

  • Does anyone have any football cards of Hall of Famers they'd like to sell?

I am just getting started collecting football cards, and I want to buy a bulk lot of cards without a bunch of commons included in it. Ebay has some decent lots, but I'm trying to avoid the hassle and expense of Ebay. I may be interested in buying more in the future if I can get a good deal on these. I don't neccessarily have to have the best name brands or the pristine mint cards, just looking for the best players at the best price. Even if you don't have any yourself, if you know of anybody online that's reputable, please let me know. Thanks everyone!

  • Does anyone have any hockey cards of Hall of Famers to sell?

I am just getting started collecting hockey cards, and I want to buy a bulk lot of superstars and HOFers. Ebay has a lot of lots for sale, but I'm trying to find an easier and cheaper way to do it. May be interested in buying more in the future if I can get a good deal on these. I'm not neccesarily looking for top dollar cards, or pristine mint condition cards, but I'm not interested in wasting time buying packs. Like I said, they don't have to be the top brands, just the best players at the best prices. If anyone has any to sell, please let me know, or if you know of a good online place to buy from, please let me know. Thanks everyone!

  • What is this song from a commercial for the TV show, "The OC"?

The part played during the commercial is, (may be slightly wrong on the words), "Standing on the rooftop, everybody scream your heart out", and they stretch out the words "heart out" at the end. Thanks!

  • While everyone is bashing Bledsoe, do you think Roethlisberger may turn out to be a fluke?

As the Steelers lose their 3rd game tonight, I can't help but think either something is wrong with him mentally due to the wreck, appendectomy, etc., or he just got lucky last year. What say you?

  • Christians, if you were starting up your own new church, what would you do differently?

I'm a Christian, and I ask because I was talking to an old friend earlier this evening, and he mentioned that another one of our old friends had started his own church. My buddy said that he asked the guy why he decided to start up his own church, and the answer he got was simply, "I've got a better way to reach people for God." The guy is a Christian, and has always dedicated his life to serving God. My buddy verified that the church was a Christian church (just to be sure our old friend hadn't went Waco or anything like that.) But knowing this guy as I do, I have no doubt that he believes he has a new technique that will reach more people for God than what's currently available.

So if you had the money, resources, etc. to start a new church, what would you do differently than................well, whatever you think is or isn't being done now. Just curious.

  • Baseball fans, who is your favorite pro baseball player that most people may never have heard of & why?

I don't have a great answer for this, but my favorite is David Weathers (journeyman middle reliever, currently with the Reds) because he and I went to high school together. I'm originally from a town of 1,800 people, so needless to say, we haven't produced a lot of people who have World Series rings. He's nice, modest, and still lives in that same town we grew up in. He just happens to have the biggest house now.

  • Baseball fans, who is/are your favorite current day players and all-time favorites, and why?

My favorite current day players are:

Greg Maddux- So methodical, and studies the hitters sooooo much.

Vernon Wells- Has stated in several interviews that he loves signing autographs (and I sent him a baseball card 2 years ago, and he signed it and sent it back to me within 3 weeks)

Shawn Green- Unafraid to share his faith, and really tries to live in a way pleasing to God.

Craig Biggio- He'll play wherever you tell him to, and he has NEVER complained.

    My all-time faves are:

Darrell Evans- My family are all Braves fans, and Evans was one of Dad's favorites.

Eddie Mathews- Same as Darrell Evans.

Willie McGee- One of the first "big name" players I ever met (when he was still playing in the minors in Nashville)

    Don Mattingly- Same as McGee.

I always enjoy thinking back on these great players, and how much I looked up to them as a kid.

  • Do you remember the first person you ever kissed (on the lips, with your mouth open)?

It's funny, me and a buddy were talking about it earlier, and I remember EVERY detail. Her name was Martha (shut up), and it was the night I graduated 8th grade (in 1985). We were having a party, and truth be known, I think SHE was kissing ME more (or better) than I was kissing her. Is it true that everybody remembers their first kiss? Do you remember details like that of your first kiss? He and I laughed for an hour talking about our first kisses. I hadn't thought about that in YEARS!

  • What is considered a good cologne AT A REASONABLE PRICE?

Here's a hint: The only place I go (and I hate going there) is Wal-Mart, so don't name something I can't buy at a store like that. I don't want to spend a ton of money either. I think most cologne prices are absolutely outrageous. I've been wearing Preferred Stock by Stetson for about a year now, and I like it, but my bottle is about empty, so I'm about to go buy some more, and figured I should change it up. Thanks!!!

  • Why has US membership in civic organizations like Masons, Lion's Club, Civitan, etc, declined so much?

I have a theory of my own, but I'd like to hear some of your opinions, and I'll give you mine after I get some answers. Thanks!

I'm getting my Entered Apprentice degree next week, and I'm pretty excited. Just wanting to hear some of your experiences. Thanks!

  • Why are the numbers 32, 33, & 34 so popular in sports?

I just answered a guy's question who asked who were the most famous numbers 32 & 34, and I started thinking about 32, 33, & 34. I mean, until Michael Jordan came along, everyone was wanting to wear 32, 33, & 34 in sports. If you stop and think about it, what's the appeal of those numbers? Nolan Ryan, Walter Payton, Larry Bird, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, Bo Jackson, Herschel Walker, Sandy Koufax, Marcus Allen..........these are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head. Is there a draw to these numbers? I know RBs in football had/have to wear numbers in the 30s, but in baseball & basketball, I especially don't understand why.
