Would you have preferred this lineup of college football games this year?
This is pre-BCS, with conference affiliations and games on 12/31 and 1/1:
Cotton: TCU (12-0) / Wisconsin (11-1)
Fiesta: Boise State (11-1) / Michigan State (11-1)
Sugar: Auburn (13-0) / Stanford (11-1)
Rose: Oregon (12-0) / Ohio State (11-1)
Orange: Oklahoma (11-2) / Arkansas (10-2)
All those national championship possibilities, playing out over two days...things were a lot more fun before the BCS.
4 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoHow will Google ignore Christmas this year?
They always have time to observe the birthdays of people like Mehmet Akif Ersoy, Alfred de Musset, and Nikolay Pirogov (http://www.google.com/logos/index.html).
But last year on Christmas, the best they could do was Happy Holidays:

And if you search through previous years, you'll find the same thing, one Christmas after another.
6 AnswersChristmas1 decade agoWhat kind of dog is pictured in this article?
http://detnews.com/article/20100310/METRO03/310036...
It's the dog with its face up against the bars of his cage. When I saw this in the newspaper today, I thought, that's one of the saddest pictures I've ever seen.

5 AnswersSinging1 decade agoHas Barack Obama ascended into a pure realm of egotism and narcissism?
I've never seen any president who is as arrogant, self-righteous, and self-centered as him - Democrat or Republican. He's taking over businesses, he's lecturing businesses on self-discipline (which he doesn't have), and now he's bad-mouthing the country that gave him a special opportunity. And this after only two months in office.
14 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhy does black history month never include negative things?
People have said that whites should acknowledge the negative parts of their history, but black history month never includes anything about black crime, black illegitimacy rates, black slave owners, O.J. Simpson, etc.
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhat do you think of the Obamas running out of the White House when things got tough?
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/...
When things get tough at your job, would your boss let you run out and visit a grade school?
The Obamas spend years in pursuit of the White House, and they get tired of it after only two weeks. It's going to be a long four years...
10 AnswersPolitics1 decade agoWhat do you think of the coronation tour of Barack Obama?
What a narcissist:
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoHave you noticed all the special magazines and books about Obama's election?
Now do you know why the media was so biased towards Obama during the election?
They wanted to create a novelty, and make money off of it. So what if it involved electing one of the least qualified presidents in American history?
2 AnswersMagazines1 decade agoHas the United States lost its sense of responsibility?
We've run out of money to loan, because so many people have borrowed themselves into financial ruin. Everyone wants a bailout.
Now we've elected a superficial, charismatic president who we expect to solve all our problems, in spite of the fact that he has very little problem-solving experience in his background.
5 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoShould Christmas be replaced by a holiday honoring Barack Obama?
From what I'm reading in the newspapers and hearing on TV and the radio, he is going to have a Christ-like healing affect on the nation and the world in 2009.
Pretty good for someone with his limited background and questionable associations.
Oh yes, I know I should get over it and stop hatin', so you can save your energy and time by not telling me that.
12 AnswersElections1 decade agoHow is the Obama election a triumph of character over skin color?
"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King, Jr. (8/28/63)
The questionnaire for job applicants in the Obama White House would disqualify Obama himself, because of his affiliation with domestic terrorists (Bill Ayers), foreign terrorists (Rashid Khalidi), and racial separatists (Jeremiah Wright).
See q. 20 of the questionnaire:
http://graphics8.nytimes.com/packages/pdf/national...
And from all the comments about this being a "historic" election, it seems that "color of their skin" had lots to do with Obama's election.
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoNow that blacks have their U.S. president, who are the new second class citizens?
The reaction by blacks to Obama's election gives the impression that they weren't full U.S. citizens until this happened.
Who's turn is it next? Women? Hispanics? Jews? Mormons?
All you people who voted for Obama to feel good about yourself, there's other people waiting in line for the same kind of vote...
19 AnswersElections1 decade agoHas Obama declared himself dictator of the USA?
He's already talking about using his executive powers:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081109/ap_on_go_pr_wh...
This guy's already shown himself to be a narcissist who loves the adoration of crowds. Now he's extending his egotism into the realm of pure power.
And he's only been president-elect for five days!
14 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhat do you think of the "Obama rally" on Wall Street?
11/5 - Dow Jones down 486 points
11/6 - Dow Jones down 443 points
And this is just the beginning...
2 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoHow many "Black House" jokes can we expect to hear from black comedians, talk show hosts, etc.?
And how many of them will say that the phrase "White House" is an inherently racist phrase that represents the United States' wicked past?
(I wish I was being satirical - but I know something like this is going to happen)
9 AnswersElections1 decade agoDid white guilt help Obama get elected? And will that only work once?
Check out this column from black conservative Shelby Steele:
http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/opinion/l...
Now that all the weak-willed guilty white Democrats (and a few Republicans) have gotten this out of their system, do you think we will see any black presidents elected again in the near future?
4 AnswersElections1 decade agoOn Veterans Day, who do you want to be president-elect of the United States?
I went to a veterans memorial yesterday evening, and looked at the stones that memorialize the fallen soldiers of each war. I wondered who they would want as the next president of the United States. I hoped and prayed that the people of this great country would have the wisdom to elect someone who really cares about soldiers - John McCain.
5 AnswersElections1 decade agoWhat are 10 good reasons not to vote for Barack Obama?
Here's mine, what's yours?
1. His lack of experience.
2. His 97 percent liberal voting record.
3. His 20-year association with the racist Jeremiah Wright.
4. His long relationship with the terrorist Bill Ayers.
5. His questionable background in Chicago politics.
6. His ties to the voter fraud group ACORN.
7. His support for abortion.
8. His patronizing attitude towards small town America.
9. His lack of support for the military.
10. His tax and spend policies that will make our economy even worse.
15 AnswersElections1 decade agoIf Obama is elected, should all racial preference laws and policies be repealed?
To paraphrase "New York, New York," if you can make it there (become president of the United States), you can make it anywhere.
Then why would we need racial preference laws? It's a fair question.
