Holiday destinations south Western Australia?
I'm seeking suggestions for resorts / places to stay in the southern region of Western Australia. Ideally featuring the following:
- Surrounding wilderness (basically, TREES, wildlife... nice places for walks)
- nice facilities such as spa
- up to ~$300 per night (for two people)
Thanks :)
3 AnswersOther - Australia9 years agoWhich self-publishing company would you recommend?
I'm from Western Australia and wondering which self-publishing company is best to go with for a non-fiction book. I would prefer it to be based in Australia, but it doesn't necessarily have to be in WA. Thanks.

I'm researching for a story I'm writing, and was wondering if anyone knows about getting witness protection for reporting or helping catch a party committing crimes against animals? A website would be handy as well!

The instructions on my aquarium filter say to remove the carbon and fibre boards from the filter before 'medicating' the water - does this include conditioning?
2 AnswersFish1 decade agoWhat is the best way to tame a nervous budgie?
We have a one-year-old female budgie who we adopted from a rescue centre after she'd been neglected by previous owners, so she's very nervous around people. I've been progressively (very slowly) taming her, offering her millet etc, which she's taking. Does anyone have any suggestions of more effective methods, or how long I should be spending training each day? How long has it taken for budgies to trust / become tamer?
thanks
5 AnswersBirds1 decade agoIs it OK to introduce a budgerigar to a home with an eclectus?
We have a male eclectus (my sister's) and she is moving out in a couple of weeks, and taking the parrot with her. They'll be visiting a lot, but I was wondering whether it is OK to get a budgie. I know eclectus' believe their flock is their human family, so may think another bird is replacing it. Would this be the case, or would a budgie be OK?
Thanks
5 AnswersBirds1 decade agoHow to add a food to rabbit's diet?
I understand it should be a gradual process (I am trying to get my rabbit to eat hay instead of pellets), but I am finding him digging out the pellets (I put a small portion in with chaff hay) and then refusing to eat the chaff. He does have vegetables as well. Is it OK to only refill the bowl once he's eaten the hay, or if he doesn't eat for a few hours, do I need to keep giving him pellets? I'm just not sure how the transition works when the rabbit just digs out what he wants. (Oh, he has teeth problems which are checked by a vet dentist regularly, which probably contributes to his fussiness. He is also quite old and has eaten mainly pellets in the past).
Thanks - hope that makes sense.

4 AnswersOther - Arts & Humanities1 decade agoHow do you get the 'mud' consistency of a mud cake?
I've followed recipes for the Boston mudcake and a few other mudcakes, all using butter, chocolate, flours, sugar, cocoa, oil, eggs etc, but they always come out as a normal chocolate cake. How can I get the muddy consistency? Does it require gelatine (or an alternative?)
Thanks

Not the standard childrens' one - a weighted one (probably around 1kg) used for exercise/toning etc.

Western Australia is about to have a referendum to decide whether or not to introduce daylight savings.
I was wondering what people believe to be the main economic, environmental, health and social benefits and disadvantages of it.
Is there really a point to it?
Cheers.
