My mom's car needs a boost. She has a Park Avenue and I have an Eclipse. My mom thinks her battery is dead and needs a boost to either take her battery to get it charged or get a new battery (if it's needed. She claims the Eclipse is too small to boost her car, is this true? Does size matter make when it comes to doing a car to car boost?

*One of the screws on her battery is stripped and we do not have the tools to remove it*

Any suggestions on how we might remove it, as well? IF we have to.

Just a general question

When I start up my laptop, the Dell screen flashes, then my screen goes black. I can hear the Windows chime as the computer boots up but the screen remains black. If I close and open the laptop several times, the screen will usually come on. What could be causing this?

I've gone to the site AOL sites as "help", tried what is suggested, and I am still getting blanks screens when I sign on. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and even trying a different version. Nothing works. My other computer is running 9.1 VR and I don't seem to be having any problems with it. I've searched AOL downloads and they don't appear to offer it anymore. Has anyone else had this problem? And if so, how were you able to correct it?

At first I thought it was my computer, but when I tried to save my video on other computers in the house, I get the same, cannot save error. I have searched the net for solutions and in about 2 years of posts, no one seems to have found a solution. Microsoft's site mentions something about WMM being a part of SP2 updates. Well, my computer has SP3 and WMM was working fine until the other day. The only thing that would explain both my computers being unable to save is a MS update that disabled something. If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate some help.

Only one works. I changed them, thinking it was the blade that wasn't working properly, but the one that wasn't working, still isn't working. Any suggestions? Please include the parts that I'll need in your answer. Thanks!

I have to turn the dial to max in order for it to come on. At first I thought it was a Freon problem, but I didn't think that would affect the heater. Is it starting to go out or is it a belt, as I hear a little whining sound periodically, when it's on?

I took my car to an autoshop for inspection and was told that I needed to drive my car at least 50 miles for something to reset. I replaced my battery a few months back and hadn't really been driving the car because I needed to get some other things repaired. Well, the guy at the autoshop told me that too many of my sensors failed. Could someone please explain this to me? I've heard horror stories about people that had to replace a $300 sensors for a $35 inspection sticker.

The turn signal on my Buick Century 99 has started blinking very fast. I got out and looked and noticed that the light on that side isn't working at all. Is this a fuse or a bulb problem?

My low coolant and low wash lights are on also, even though both are full. I am not sure that this is related, as I think this may be a sensor problem, but I just thought I'd add this info.

I am using Word in Office 2007 (XP) and every time I try to add the title the page number disappears and vice versa. I am trying to complete an essay in APA format and I need a running header and page numbers at the top of the page. Please help!

I put the car in reverse/drive and all the tires move except this one.

I was told about two years ago (please don't flog me) that I needed a shoe or some component on this particular tire, but I was told it was something I could wait to fix. Maybe not two years long, but hey, the guy added an additional $400 to the other repairs I'd gotten and I couldn't afford it. Well, now, I don't have a choice, so what do you wonderful mechanics think? Would a malfunctioning shoe cause my tire to seize up? And how much should something like this cost to repair? A price range would be great, if you can.

I've removed all the screws I can see and the dang thing still won't come out. I even tried to remove the entire metal housing thingie but that won't budge. Anyone have any suggestions? I pulled the panel from the other side to see if there were some screws on the other side but I don't see anything. Please H-E-L-P!

I've been watching the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo and wondering how old Rachel Zoe is. Wikipedia has her in her 30's and I'm just wondering if this information is accurate. She looks a WHOLE lot older than 30. Heck, she looks older than 39. Her neck, hands, and face have more wrinkles than Susan Lucci's and Susan is in her 60's. Now, I'm not saying she's that old. But she looks a heck of a lot older than 30 or 39. Does anyone know?

Okay, so I just watched Demi perform live on Good Morning America and The View and I'm wondering why she has an album at all. The girl sounds H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. I mean, she should have had a track playing behind her singing, a la Britney Spears or Ashley Simpson. Her voice is weak and she can't hit any 'real' notes and forget about tone and range. She is yet another, digi-artist. Which is really sad because I thought she was authentic--better than Miley Cyrus (voice-wise) anyway. But she's not. She's a fake. Yet another studio vocalist.

I don't really care for Selena Gomez's voice on digitally altered tracks so I KNOW her voice is probably 10x's worse than I imagine. Don't get me wrong, I think Selena is an awesome actress, she's quirky. But Demi's show, So Random, is ridiculous and lacks humor (the writers need to be fired) and now the world knows she can't sing. Sheesh, Disney can pop anyone out of obscurity and make them a star. Talent be dang.

I think there should be an amendment added to stop the occurrence of border babies. If the mothe is in the U.S. illegally, the child doesn't get citizenship. Plain and simple.

I think we should provide ER care to illegal immigrants, but no other resources that are put in place for U.S. citizens. I also think we should militarize the borders (Mexico & Canada) and allow those already here up to ONE year to pay a $2000-5000 fine and require them to speak English. If the illegal does not follow the rules, we deport them immediately--whether their kids are born here or not.

I've been noticing that water spits all over place after the car heats up a bit. The water is coming from near what I believe is called the Serpentine belt. I'm wondering if the water has done something to one of the pulleys (round little metal thingies) because I can hear a strange metal on metal squeaking. I was told it could be a hose leading to the waterpump but I'm not really sure how I'd be able to tell. And as a woman, I certainly don't want to have to deal with a mechanic trying to overcharge me.

I've stopped driving the car as I'm afraid it will overheat and cause me even MORE problems.
