  • May I clarify my question about thanking Suzanne?

Some people co-opted my comments and labelled Suzanne "evil" and such as if I had too. That was not my intent. "Ignorant" is not the same as "evil." Even by suggesting that it sounds like Suzanne would have had a hard time opposing the third reich because she seems to see them as doing Gd's plan or something, I wasn't saying she herself would have been a nazi. Many people went along with the nazis simply out of ignorance.

So, y'all, please don't take what I say and use it to vent on someone you dislike. Note I said in my explanation that anyone has a chance to make ammends if they learn the error of their ways and correct their thinking and actions. I don't see Suzanne as evil, just wrong. And I'll even use a word as strong as "ignorant," but not evil.

Can you, through your perspective's teachings, allow for a difference between doing or saying something wrong out of ignorance and doing or saying that same thing out of badness?

  • May I THANK Suzanne on behalf of everyone at R&S for saying G-d approved of the holocaust? She united us!?

R&S is usually quarrels, bunkering in our respective religious (and not) communities. Suzanne caused (at this writing) 34 nearly unanimous results! 33 of the 34 seem to think she is a disguating idiot (or close to it).* Jews, Christians, Muslims, atheists, people who rarely post, joined together to... to... oh, gosh, I want to take your hands and sing "Kumbiah" or something!

Thanks, Suz', for giving us a thing to agree on. The rest of us should use this to remember we are all basically good people who can learn from each other and take this warm, fuzzy feeling Suz' has inspired into R&S's future.

*Ben doesn't agree with Suz' but his view seems similar. IF so, in both cases I stick to what I detailed effectively in response to PBW's question: Suzanne's kind of thinking causes things like naziism and she probably would have helped the nazis.

Everard G.: Please tell your mother she is a blessing upon the world. If she has passed, her memory is as honorable as can be.
