have got a Panasonic SA-PT170 dvd surround sound system but no remote. bought a cheap one which gives me play, pause and stop but no rewind fast forward or volume.

will a more expensive one give me these features or are all universal remotes the same?

or can I buy a remote for this system off the internet somewhere?

total techno-phobe i'm affraid. got a galaxy mini and want tunes from my laptop to my phone.

updated the software on laptop and connected my phone where it says do i want to import/export to computer - i clicked it as this is what i want to do but on my laptop i can only upload from my phone and not download from laptop to phone.

how do i do this ?

i have an indoor aerial with a booster. i live in a flat and my bedroom is next to my living room. the aerial is on my living room window sill with an extender cable out of the window and back in the bedroom window for the tv in the bedroom. i just switch the aerial cables over depending on which room i'm in but the aerial doesn't move.

now, the tv in the bedroom has perfect reception, but the tv in the living room won't pick up a signal. as far as i can tell the only difference is the cable that goes outside.

i have tried moving the aerial and adjusting the height but nothing makes any difference. do you have any idea why this would be?

i'm getting an outdoor aerial in a few weeks but am i going to have the same problem?

i had a recipe but lost it :( once the mix was ready i left it at room temp for a few hours and it was stiff enough to roll and wouldn't need to be kept in a fridge.

i've made 2 batches i found off the internet and both were runny - put in the fridge which firmed it up but still quit squidgy and not as robust as i wanted.

i'm sure the only ingrdients i used in my origional recipe were chocolate, double cream and rum i just can't quite remember.

and i'm only using 2 tbsp rum so that's not the reason for it not setting.

please help me!!

my boyfriend passed his test about 20 yrs ago and has never changed the address on it - he had a paper licence which is now long lost.

his car was stolen and the insurance company say they need his licence details to complete the claim but every address he gives them they say isn't registered.

He moved around alot at the time and he can't think of any addresses that he's not already tried.

so how does he get these details from the DVLA cos they won't just give him a replacement unless he can prove who he is - but can't do that without the address it's registered to!!

would the police be able to help instead?

i've never even questioned this before - until yesterday - a woman on telly said she wanted a brown note and was then given a tenner. i exclaimed that a £10 note is orange and not brown - 2 others agreed with me and 3 others did not and said that it was indeed brown.

so what's your opinion - orange or brown ?

my boyfriend gets paid weekly but the place he works is going downhill fast. His boss ows him 4 weeks wages and he won't give it to him. just keeps fobbing him off by saying he'll get it tomorrow but tomorrow never comes :(

he desperately wants to leave but finding another job is near impossible ( he's been applying for other jobs to no avail) .

what are his options?

i said he'd be better off not going in till he gets his money cos he's just racking up more hours that he won't get paid for. on the other hand - he can't just leave and go and sign on cos it doesn't work like that unfotunately.

anybody have any helpful suggestions that won't take months like a tribunal would - ha needs help asap.

there's a photo where i work of how the building used to be. it was a cinema called Criteron and the film being shown is called Thunderstorm.

don't know when the photo was taken but it's black and white - i'd guess 1920's - 1950's.

i just wondered what the film was about but i can't find anything about it - not even about the cinema :( anyone have any suggestions where i can look?

i'm a veggie - my boyfriend is not.

i want to make a meal that my meat lover will like but without the meat.

i want to make steak and ale pie but i just can't think what i can substitute the steak for - i've used Quorn before and he doesn't like it :( except for the chilli i made using the mince.

any ideas on this or for any other meals would be much appreciated.

i'd like some good easy to make recipes taht include alcohol - but only vegetarian ones or ones that can be made into a veggie dish if yours contains meat.

i already have one for white wine sauce, and one for onion gravy that contains red wine.

got loads of veggies i can use but need a really good sauce recipe to go with it.

i'm a vegetarian so no meat or fish please.

i'd like something that's not too salty as i've found this problem with comercially produced sauces.

i got a second hand electric cooker with a grill-oven combi which needed a good clean. i used Mr Muscle oven cleaner for the back, sides and bottom but it says to not spray it on heating elements - which is the grill at the top.

anyone got any tips on how i can de-grease the grill's element because it's giving off alot of smoke when i'm cooking.

can i just use hot soapy water ?

found a flier which says that if you address 100 envelopes you will earn £160. now, if it had said you'd earn £50 i wouldn't even question it but £160 seems like alot for the amount of envelopes. if it were so easy to make money wouldn't everyone be doing it ?!!!

i think it's called "The Beast Within". it's about a concentrtion camp by the Germans and they throw women into a cell with a beast in there. can't really remember much but all help appreciated. THA xx

my bf has been on fluoxetine for 2 weeks and they're making him rough.

he's having nightmares where he wakes up shouting and screaming. memory loss where he'll say something or do some household chore and have no memory at all that he's already said or done it.

he's also feeling dizzy when standing from being sat down, no appetite and tired all the time.

i know everyone is different but has anyone else experienced anything similar when on these tablets and if so how long did this last for - should he ask the doctor to change his medication to something he's used before?

pain in lower left side of back and side below ribs, thirsty for ice cold drinks, dark urine, not tender to the touch but painful when moving.

could this be kidney infection or stones?

i make my curries in a slow cooker and i'm a vegetarian but i've still not managed to make a curry that i really like.

all i really want to know is how much of which spices i need to use. i don't want it too spicey but but enough to know that i'm eating a curry.

i'd like it to have a sweetness to it and nothing creamy.

when i click to go into my yahoo mail i get a page display to upgrade to internet explorer 9 - which i did about 6 weeks ago. so i clicked to re-install it but it is still just coming up with the same page - anyone know what i need to do or how i can contact yahoo to ask them?
