  • How to get free dental care for a disabled person?

My mother is disabled and her teeth are turning black and are diseased. She needs thousands of dollars in dental care, has only Medicare (which will not cover dental work unless it is regards to very specific medical issues, and we have checkedwith them). I do not have thousands of dollars to pay for this - any reccomendations?

She is getting very ill from this and will likely have to have all of her teeth extracted, but we cannot afford even this... please help, any suggestions? The infections are so bad this may actually kill her.

  • Cat with hyperactive Thyroid - suggestions?

My cat is about 11 years old, and has a hyperactive thyroid. She has lots tons of weight and the vet says there are two options. Treatment is about 2,000 dollars (which I do not have) and she is allergic to the medication (we tried that route).

To keep her weight up, we feed her constantly throughout the day, but that leads to her having other issues such as going poop so much that she has a swollen and painful anus, etc.

I dont mind the food cost or feeding her as often as needed, but I was curious if anyone has any suggestions for supplements that a cat can take that can provide additional nutrition, help her gain more weight back without having to feed her every few hours.

    Thanks

  • What is the most fun job / career you have had or would like to have?

What job did you have that paid really well, but was the most fun you ever had? I am considering a change in careers (my work is far too serious and life is too short to continue on doing what I do). I want to know what you think was the job you would love to have (or have had) that had the most appeal... and of course, why?
