  • Have you had problems with DG Solicitors? Are they or HSBC taking you to Court?

DG Solicitors claim to be 'Solicitors to HSBC' and this is backed up by statements made by HSBC themselves. However, DG Solicitors are not a firm of solicitors regulated in England and Wales and are now under investigation. DG Solicitors regularly issue proceedings into the Bulk Court system at Northampton in the name of HSBC. However, there is now evidence that some debts being claimed in the name of HSBC had previously been 'sold' to third parties and that HSBC had no rights or responsibilities in respect of the debts and no legal right to recover. If you believe that you may have fallen victim to such activities and are currently subject to proceedings before the Court (or have had a judgement made against you in favour of HSBC previously) send BRIEF details to acsadvice@yahoo.co.uk for advice on how to deal with this.

  • Have you had problems with DG Solicitors in debt collection cases?

DG Solicitors of Edgbaston, Birmingham, are a debt collection service for HSBC Bank. They are now known to have used inappropriate, misleading information to seek to recover debts. For example, they have stated or implied that DG Solicitors is a regulated firm of solicitors. In fact, they are an unregulated debt collection company (Limited). DG Solicitors are known to have breached numerous regulations imposed by the SRA and OFT. To enable the OFT to take appropriate action to prevent DG Solicitors from continuing to so act, it is necessary to identify other debtors to whom DG Solicitors have stated or implied that DG Solicitors is a regulated firm of solicitors or is regulated by the Law Society or Solicitors Regulation Authority. Also, have you been served with a County Court Claim on which the Claimant is shown to be represented by DG Solicitors as 'Claimants Solicitor'. If you have fallen victim to the dubious activities of this Company, please forward initial contact details, together with a BRIEF resume to acsadvice@yahoo.co.uk

  • Is Egg Banking still trading?

Egg banking seems to have ceased trading and is broken up. Credit card debt being recovered. Loans being recovered by a Luxembourg based group - Britannica Recoveries s.a.r.l. An investment banking group (Carval) seems to have 'bought in' 150,000 Egg loans, 59,000 of them dormant and is now using various tactics to collect payments. These include cancelling Direct debits payable to Egg from Clients accounts and setting up Direct Debits payable to Britannica Moorgate. Very unclear whether this is legal. Some very dubious practices now being used. What is the current legal situation regarding outstanding Egg Banking Plc loans and Credit Card Debt?
