Which music writing software should I use? I don't want to pay a lot of money, none if possible.?
I'll be writing music for orchestra, mainly the film music genre, so there'll be a lot of instruments and not the easiest notations. I've heard of MuseScore before, but I've read reviews that say it's shortcoming if one wants to create a full orchestra piece. Then I found Sibelius, but it's not the cheapest. Are there any other possibilities for someone who isn't going to use it professionally and actually mainly for own use as in a hobby?
1 AnswerSoftware5 years agoI have characters but don't have a plot to put them in?
So, I have my characters, the main setting and some little scenes in my head, but no plotline to follow. Iy's about a modern day harem in England, and the characters are all figured out, but I just don't know what to make them do. I even have backstory for every single character, but almost nothing in the present. How can I solve this problem? Any creativity boosters?
5 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years agoHow big is the chance of a break-through with screenwriting in Belgium?
Hey, I seriously love creating stories and watching movies. And a few days ago, I decides to do something with it. I figured the ultimate mash-up between movies and storytelling must be screenwriting, and I've been self-studying the whole concept and I even started a little project of my own, just to feel that I can finish a spec script. There's only one negative to it all. I live in Belgium. The Belgium movie-industry isn't exactly the best in the world, and definitely not when it comes to animation. So what are the odds I might break through after all. Is there a possibility to make this my life, without having to move to America for the rest of my life?
1 AnswerMovies5 years agoAre there certain things to look out for when writing an animation screenplay which aren't applied in a life-action screenplay?
I'm a noobie to the screenwriting world, and I'm currently self-studying the whole concept. But i'd like to specify myself into animation screenwriting. Any tips, tricks or so?
1 AnswerMovies5 years agoWhy did I stop caring about school so suddenly?
I'm 15 years old and my school life sucks. But I don't understand why. I've always been kind of neutral towards school, but now I just stopped caring. In the past I'd get upset if I got bad grades, but now I just feel nothing for it. My school life is filled with an unexplainable boredom and I don't want it, 'cause I've got plenty of other, more important things to look after. Can someone help me out?
5 AnswersPsychology5 years agoWhy is it that when you want to become a conductor, you necessarily have to play an instrument?
I mean, people are able to study music without playing one, so why do you have to combine conducting with an instrument?
4 AnswersPerforming Arts6 years agoWhat's your opinion on Richard Dawkins' thinking pattern (please read decription)?
A lot of people say that he isn't an expert when talking about religion. But that isn't really necessary. He just looks at the information and concludes all the possible outcomes. And a God is in that case practically and in theory non-existing when looking at the evidence.

2 AnswersComics & Animation6 years agoWhat did you guys think of the manga-series 'death note'?
I was just wondering what the world thought of this manga-series since there isn't a proper IMDB for books. So, what did you guys think of it, and what is your rating on 10? I give it an 8/10.
2 AnswersComics & Animation6 years agoAny ideas for a short story title?
Basically
it's about a pianist called Jonathan and his girlfriend died in a car crash. He is trying to get over it, but it keeps haunting him. So he decides to compose music about his loss etc. But that creates some kind of internal, emotional struggle. When he's performing the music for an audience during his second big performance, the madness hits him and at the end he commits suicide.
At the moment, I'm revisioning it all and I'm close to the end. I already have someone who will send it to a publisher, but I'm having a lot of trouble fiding the good title. I've tried everything, but I was hoping that one of you guys could give me some ideas or inspiration.
Please don't tell me I should pick some key words, I already tried that and I also tried to mix them up. Nothing seems to feel right.
Thanks in advance

2 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoDo you guys know some series that stayed good or even improved?
I think you all know the phenomenon : you start a series, the first let's say 2 movies are good, but the rest starts to lose quality or even become bad. e.g. : the alien quadrilogy.
Do you guys know any series that stayed good all the time or even became better?
2 AnswersMovies6 years agoFor the writers out there :How to approach a publisher?
So, my book has been written. I have been working on it for about 13 months (revisioning and editing) but I don't know how to approach a publisher. Do you do it by letter, email,.... And what should i tell about myself, about the book, other things? I appreciate all help; but i don't want any sites. Only personal advise or things you have experienced yourself.
