GDP for last qtr was 2.5%, well below the needed 3.5% and if you strip away inventories, GDP was only 1.5%. Moreover, US Govt Debt is now 107% of our national GDP. Do you think the economy is improving? What should be done to improve things?

I consider myself a conservative but I have no qualms with what you do to yourself as long as I do not have to pay for it or suffer any consequences of your actions.

If I work hard and earn alot of money, I pay taxes on it, which includes income tax and social security tax. If I take whats left after taxes and invest it, and make money on that investment, it is passive by law and not subject to social security tax which only applies for EARNED INCOME. Why are people so uneducated about the different types of income.

Would you want to pay social security tax on interest in your bank account? It is the same thing.
