  • Should I go to the GP? Or am I wasting their time?

    Basically I think i have depression...but I'm not sure (i suppose that's wot the GP's for :/).

Anyway, I don;t just want to walk into there, say somethings and then have the doctor say 'yeah...man up'.

I know they wouldn't say a thing like that, but its more the idea...i think alot of the problems I have (sleep fluctuations, appetite issues, cutting off from activities and friends, negative thinking, social anxiety and so on) are due to this depression...if the GP says i'm normal...then that seems worse than having depression in the first place.

Its seems silly when I write it out like that...I don't want to go in case I don't actually have this problem...but that's the problem...I mean I have had low moods since I don't know when...can;t remember the last time I was actually happy and so on, and its not like i don;t have reasons...i play for a rugby team that wins all the time...I just stopped caring about rugby. I do well in school...I just stopped caring about school.

I'm also 17, so i'm worried my parents may be told...and I don't want them to worry...(yes i know, blah blah they will want to help...but i'd prefer they didn't want to help...they usually means problems for me)

So i suppose I just need someone to tell me to go, or to veg at home...i mean do i even seem depressed to you? I can see myself being laughed out of the doctors room...

(btw, how do GP's work in the UK for this sort of thing, do i go in and make an appointment? and do i need any details or anything??)

  • Yeah....Just Very....Confused?

I'll keep this in bullet point form because otherwise it will go on a while...

Got proper close at a party a few weeks ago, kissed goodnight.

She found my number of mates (which would have been hard, i keep my number hidden) we texted for a while

Went to formal dinner with all our mates together (we were sorta 'friends' b4, and it just happened that way, nothing to do wit the getting close)

We were close until she suddenly started avoided me...

I texted her next day to see if she was ok, she seemed fine

Went round her house for curry wit her + parents + 1 or two others (i'm very good mates with her brother, and he invited me...i;m also good friends with the parents from rugby)

Went to a party that evening...and wasn't quite ignored...but was not acknowledged ether.

Thought that it was all over, till she text me randomly asking how my day was...we had a brief text chat

I texted her to ask how her day was a few days later and we had another nice text chat

    Few facebook conversations...

She then invited me to an awards thing....in August :/...bcoz her family cant go...

I ran into her today while I was wit her brother...and It was really awkward (i'm not sure if that is just us, or coz he is there)...but then wen i went on Facebook she just started chatting normally...

Does this mean we are just friends? Am I just a 'family Friend'? Does she like me still? Could it be that us getting close and then nothing happening after made us good mates...

As you can tell I am confused...there's no real reason for her to stay friends...yet she is trying...is she just trying to be friends or more?

    :S

  • Is it possible to read minds?

Obviously I don't mean like the conventional way, like read the train of thought in someones mind (although that would be sweeet), i mean be able to actually read someones mind from what they are doing...

We all do the little unconscious things (crossed arms = bad times, bigger eyes = a like of something, slight fidgeting = nervousness, blah blah) but lets say you knew wot all these little things meant...like perfectly, could look at someone and in one sweep read them all...maybe talk to them a little and read there reactions...

Do you think you could get a clear picture of what they were actually thinking?

(And i mean really clear, like be able to tell them things about themselves only they know and so on...also...where would you learn to do a thing like this :P???)

  • Why did she do this? Very confused...?

Basically some girl I know started showing me she was proper interested and so on at some party....we went to another party together, and about mid-way through she just got proper 'stand-offish'. You know, like she'd get me to dance, then after a few minutes get her friends and ignore me. And rather than coming over and giving me a hug and etc when we bump into each other, she'll just flash me a quick smile and dive past or ignore me. It got to the point where if i went into somewhere she was she would leave...

Does this mean she was interested and no longer is? Or does it mean she never was, and maybe I gave off the wrong signals?

Or is she still interested but trying to get me to do something? We were at another party yesterday, and she didn't try to stay away as such...but it was clear she wanted a 1 person gap...

So, does this mean she's trying to get me back into the friend zone? Or does she want me to work harder?

Also, as an extra, as i left i said 'text me if your bored' and she went 'you text me 1st...' what does that mean...?

  • What should I do...in short, trying to go out with mates sister...?

I hate asking questions like this, and especially on yahoo answers...but this is something i need anonymously and I cant talk to most of my mates about it (specially since the girl its about is one of my best mates sisters...)

    But yeah...that's the situation.

I got a great mate...and he's got a sister that I like, and until last nite thought liked me too. Basically we were having our pre-end of era celebrations on sunday, and me and her were getting proper close, we'd flirted a little in the weeks before, and I had an idea she liked me...but she was making it proper obvious now to me and everyone. We did all the slow dancing and **** avoiding everyone else, and the only thing that stopped us from getting off that nite was that she was sick...we kissed goodnight, but it was more a peck than kiss...

Anyway, last nite we had a formal dinner, and i just happened to be going wit this girl cleaver planning on my part I though). It was awkward for a while, but soon it clicked and we're having good fun...awards were given and a dj started, and we went to the dance floor...and after 25 seconds...she went away and got her friends (who has also come) to come over....and they danced leaving me on the outside.

We had the odd hand touch and hair ruffle for the rest of the nite, but nothing much and at the after party it was proper awkward between us again. We smiled and talked a little...but it was frosty...like i'd done something wrong. Long story short, feeling absolutly **** (since i proper liked her, and she seemed to be doing everything to avoid me), drunk and at 4am i got off with some other girl (and a little more)...and it's clear she knew and its clear she's pissed off...

I didn't mean to get with this girl...she just clinged on, and i was in such a **** mood i just couldn't be bothered to shake her off. But my question is

Should I talk to my mates sister? Tell her it was a mistake getting with the other girl? Say why I did it, say that I really like her and so on?? Or should I just leave it...

I mean on one side i do proper like her...shes smart, funny, good looking and so on....but then she is my mates sister...a really good mates sister...and shes hard to read. I'm still not 100% sure she does like me, I would put money on me being a back up for someone else...

In the end it comes down to - should I risk my friendship with her, and my mate for something that a) may not even be real, b) may not work, c) will just make a huge fool outa me, d) may just overcomplicate things...

or should I just talk to her anyway...get some closure...coz tbh right now i'm in a really bad state...

  • Would you watch this Documentary?

I'm from England. I play football (not soccer....proper american football) for a team over here, and i'm about to make a documentary about them, and their up coming season...

Basically all I want is a few answers to help me make this documentary great and watchable.

    1) Would you watch it? For example say your watching ESPNs sports centre and in a break you see an advert for this documentary on tv or in the cinema...would you go and see it?

    2) What would you prefer - a story about the teams season, filmed practices and so on...as little talking as possible just focusing on the team and the passion of football in a different country OR more of a clear informational comparision? Focusing on the aspects of the football you take for granted, the 'want' of the players, the fact we spend $400 a year to play and that we get a maxium of 30 people to our games and so on with interviews from the coaches on whats it like to be playing a sport so big in one country, but yet so small in another.

    3) Interviews? Good or Bad? (This is like the question above) would you prefer the story to tell its self (so a camera just following and listening) or for the story to be told (voice overs and interviews)?

    4) Length? How long would you say is too long? 30mins? 1 hour? 1h 30? 2 hours??

    5) Comparisions with America? Good or bad? Do you want to see your 100,000 seater stadiums, huge training complex compared to our 1,000 seater sports track and atro turf (field) hockey pitch we train on? Do you want to see this? Or would it be better just to focus on the team and pressure that comes with it?

    5) Anything else you think that could be done to make it good? I want to create meaning...if we lose a game, i want you to feel like you lose a game...if we win the 'BritBowl' and want you to feel like you have as well...

    6) Has this been done before? I know there are football movies? And documentaries about seasons...have you watched them and what are they like? What mistakes do you feel they make?

All i want is a few answers...if you wont watch it tell me...but then tell me what I could do to make you watch it...do you want a gritty real look at life for the people in our team (who often spend 1-2hours traveling to train and play) or do you want a glossy, informative, sleek and beautiful look and comparision into the sport in both of our countries...

Thank you for your help :) People who help alot will get there names in the credits :D

  • Where do you get and how much do NFL tickets cost?

I'm from England and have finally finished College so am on a gap year before Uni. One of my ideas is to go to america and travel around for a month or so...

I support the Patriots, and was hoping to go see some of their games while out there (I have my tickets to the Bucs game already :D)...but I have no idea how to get tickets, how much they cost, how much to get hold of them or anything...can you help?

    1. I'm guessing the cheapest seats are right at the top...how much are they and can you see anything? So if it is like $3 is it worth it? Will you just see little blobs run about and then it would be better in a bar?

    2. How do you get hold of them? In England you have season ticket holders and the rest are first come first serve...whats it like in America?

    3. In your opinion where is the best seat vs price to get? (remember i am a student)

    4. Do prices change per stadium?

    5. Any other info you think I may need

    Thank you very much :)

also if u happen to know how i can get some Mets tickets that would help your chances of getting the best answer ;)

  • Is there anyway for me to buy an Xbox 360 without all the cables and fancy stuff?

My xbox's disk drive broke...and then it got the 3 red rings of death...

So i decided to get it fixed, however when it came back...it was still broken....So screw it, Microsoft are being pricks about the whole thing...i can sell it broken on ebay for £50-£60

BUT is there anyway for me to just buy the pure console? Like I have all the cables, the hard drive and so on...i just don't want to fork out £120 for more cables and head sets and things i don't need.

So yer, i there anyway i can just buy the console itself? And not from ebay or any second hand places coz they're all usually broke...

  • Are girls Evil? Try and Refute my math...?

Now, Girls = time x money

    But time is money

    So time = money

There for girls = Money x Money which is money squared

Money is also the root of all evil...

So girls = the root of all evil squared...

Which cancels down to - Girls = Evil.
