Pain, left side of abdominal?
I have a dull pain which has been there for a few days. It's in the left side of my abdominal area near to the bellybutton. It's starting to give me a bit of discomfort. Other than that my appetite has not changed and my diet is fairly healthy. I do get run down a bit as I exercise a lot and get 6 hours sleep most nights, any suggestions? Could it be serious or just something that will pass over time.

2 AnswersLondon1 decade agoI am in love with my flatmate?
I'm 28 and just moved into a new flat share in April, one of the other flatmates is a 29 year old female. I developed a crush on her almost straight away and since then she's been really great. We do things together and chat together about anything, we both became instant friends. I decided not to pursue her because I know it would be far too complicated being involved with a house mate - and have since kept my interest in her a secret.
Now three months later, I have got to know her so well and realise that sooner or later I really need to get this off my chest and let her know how I feel. I know things could be really messy if she rejects me and either outcome it will be likely I'll have to move out of the place and risk losing her friendship. I'd be willing to sacrifice that if I knew there was the mutual attraction but I'm still not sure. Just last night she revealed she is going out on a blind date tonight (ie right now)... set up by a friend of hers. I told her good luck in a friendly way... although I feel really moody and worried about what might happens if the date turns out a success for her.
Anyone been in my situation? Do you think I should risk all and reveal my feelings for her, or should I just let her live her life and continue to be friends despite how difficult things could end up becoming?
1 AnswerSingles & Dating1 decade agoNeck pains? What could it be?
I rode my bike to work this morning and turned my head back to look for traffic when the right side of the back of my neck started hurting. It was quite sore and is still sore. It is okay when I don't move the neck but can hurt when moving downwards or to the left hand side.
Is it just a strain of one of the muscles or could it be something worse? 9 years ago I had to have surgery and a metal plate inserted after I dislocated one of the cervical vertebra.
1 AnswerPain & Pain Management1 decade agoI have a sinus infection and the antibiotics don't seem to work.?
I have a sinus infection and the antibiotics don't seem to work. I went to see a doctor who prescribed me with antibiotics (synermox). I had a ten day supply and the symptons went away during that period. Now since I used up my supply, the symptons have come back. My left nostril is clogged and trying to snort out mucous causes the air passage to try get out my airs instead of my nose.
What does this mean? Are the antibiotics inneffective or does it mean I have to keep at it until the infection goes fully from my system?

Which is the best option?
Take the X4 bus to Peterborough and train down by cross country trains to Stansted?
Take an East Midlands train via Kettering to London, then transfer to Liverpool Street for the Stansted express.
My flight is at 7:45pm Friday before August bank holiday weekend
5 AnswersLondon1 decade agoCan customs check or seize CD-R or DVD-R ?
If you travel internationally and taking CD-R or DVD-R or any backed up media (not deliberating exporting/importing) regardless of whether or it not it infringes copyright, do customs offices have a right to check the media on it if they conduct a search of baggage? Or do they generally not bother?
3 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoHow much time to allow for transfer from international to domestic at Auckland airport?
I am a NZ'er living abroad and I am flying back to New Zealand at the end of the year. My international flight gets in to AKL International at 13:10 and I am hoping to book a flight from AKL Domestic to my home town in the South Island which is scheduled for 14:40.
Would this be sufficient time once disembarking the plane and going through immigration and customs and transfering to the domestic terminal with enough time to check in?
Thoughts please...

6 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoIs it okay to have a drink every evening?
I like my beer and wine. I often have a glass of red or the equivalent of a pint of lager when I have my dinner. I am a busy man who works and goes for long runs after work. At the moment I have at least one drink per night and a few more on one of the days in the weekend.
Any reasons why I should or shouldn't continue doing this?
11 AnswersBeer, Wine & Spirits1 decade agoFriend trying to set me up but not interested.?
Your thoughts please.
About a month ago I had an evening out with a group of friends, about four guys and six girls including a female friend of a friend. I know this person but not so well ... she once hooked up with another guy I know several years ago and my friends still make fun of him because of that (as this girl is not particularly attractive).
Well silly me had too many shots and somehow lead her on and hooked up and ended up spending the night with her, and next morning I woke with the horrors and had one of those "what have I got myself into moments". I chatted to her for a bit before leaving and made my best efforts to leave things at that.
Well a month later, this girl been telling my other female friends that shes keen on me and they've been telling me to go for it, one is really keen to set me up with her. However I don't want to go there, I've been given enough flak about it from my guy friends already and even though shes a nice person I am not interested in her
What is the best way to end this whole situation without further leading this girl on nor hurting her feelings?
4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoBoth Achilles tendon sore, what is the best method for them to heal?
I run about 5 times a week at the moment, currently not racing so just training for general fitness and run about 60km per week.
In the past week both the areas around my achilles have been sore (right one first, now both), especially when running and walking. I can manage a run at a slow pace but not for very long and definitely not on consecutive days.
My road shoes are 3 months old and are Asics gel 3000 with relatively good support and I use orthotics.
Haven't had this occur before so any tips as to what might be wrong? Also any short term suggestions such as stretching or resting.
