  • Need help with costume ideas for Halloween...?

I am a big guy, 6 foot 3 and 215 lbs, built like a football player. I have a beard, but it is short (less than 1/2" long). I have short to medium length brown hair. My Girlfriend is 5 foot 4, size 0 to 2 and 102 lbs. Very slender with long blond hair. We are trying to come up with ideas on what we should be (as a couple) on Halloween. Any ideas? (we are not gonna do Fred and Wilma, or FB player and cheerleader)

  • What corn varieties can I plant the seeds of next year?

I don't want to keep buying seed packets every year.

    I want o be able to have a 100% self-sufficient garden.

How can I find varieties of seeds that will actually produce a crop when planted next year? Hybrids won't do that....

  • My Girlfriend misses her family...?

My girlfriend came to this city to go to college. When she graduated, she got a job offer here that was several dollars per hour more than any other offers, including back home. She decided to stay here and gather some more experience until trying to negotiate a better salary with a company back home. She misses her family VERY much, and her grandmother calls everyday and tells her how much she misses her and asks when she is moving back.

I can't help with the lonely grandmother, but is there anything I could do to help ease her homesickness? I was thinking I could take a whole bunch of pictures and then load them onto a digital picture frame and send it to her grandmother, but we really aren't all that serious yet and those things are expensive. She also has free long distance, so a phone card was an idea, but that's out.

I was trying to come up with some simple yet thoughtful ideas to help her not miss her home so much.

  • 36, single male, never married. Why is it so hard to meet women?

I am a 36 year old, tall, physically fit, "not ugly, but not Brad Pitt" man. I am having a heck of a time trying to meet women. I have never been married, and I think that makes me "weird" in some way to them. It is just that I have never felt that I have ever met "the right one". Out of 100 women I meet locally, only about 15-20 are available, and maybe 1 or 2 we have enough in common or interests where we can actually get along OK. The odds are really against me. I have tried various online dating sites with very little luck.
