  • Breastfeeding Moms??

I didn't get the chance to breastfeed with my 1st son and now I have #2 due in September and I'm going to try my hardest to breast feed. I've already bought a pump and nursing bras and am going to really stick to it this time. So my question is do any of you have any tips you'd like to share, or know any GOOD books I could read to help me better prepare for breastfeeding? How do you cope with having another little one around (he will be 20 months when the new baby comes)?

    Thanks!

  • Eye twitching/fluttering?

My right eye has been fluttering for 2 1/2 days now. The only time it doesn't flutter is when I'm sleeping. A coworker told me that it could be related to high blood pressure, but I don't know how true this is. Does anyone know any reasons as to why my eye will not stop fluttering? I haven't called the dr yet because I thought it would just go away. I've never had my eye flutter for so long. Any thoughts????

  • Death of an infant?

A coworker had his first baby girl August 5th. She was 2 1/2 months premature, but was doing great! She was breathing on her own, but was going to stay in the nicu until a couple weeks before her actual due date. On August 13 she passed away. Apparently she had a hole in her intestines and her vitals were too low to operate and she died early Monday morning. I feel so bad for my coworker and his girlfriend. This was his first baby and her 3rd. As a company we sent flowers and we're collecting money and putting it in a card for them. I feel like I should do more for them. I know there isn't anything I can say or do, but I feel like I should get them something and I can't for the life of me think of anything... They don't have any family or friends here, except for coworkers. I was thinking about a memory box or something. The funeral is today. Does anyone have any ideas???

  • Loestrin 24 and Period????

I started Loestrin back in February at my 6 week post birth check up. I have never forgotten a pill or missed a day. I've had my period reguarly for the past 3-4 months. Took my last active pill on Tuesday, I was supposed to start last Friday and had NOTHING, Saturday NOTHING, Sunday NOTHING and started a new pack of pills on Sunday. I just had a check up at the gyno last Wednesday and he said everything looked great (so I'm assuming that I wasn't preggo). So I took a pregnancy test on Saturday and it was negative... Now I'm at a complete loss as to why I didn't have a period or maybe I am preggo and my hCG levels just aren't high enough to be detected??? Has anyone experienced this?? Can anyone offer up any advice??

  • Stretch marks after pregnancy.. your experience??

I got stretch marks everywhere: my stomach, breasts, sides, thighs, butt, and on the back of my calfs (its driving me crazy!!!). They are dark and really visible. I didn't gain a lot of weight during pregnancy. How were you able to reduce the visibility of your stretch marks?? What did you use and how long did it take to reduce them?

  • 38 weeks pregnant..?

I haven't lost my mucus plug yet. Do all women lose their mucus plug? Whats the earliest and latest that you've lost yours and how long after losing it did labor start?

I also need to get my blood pressure down and stop the swelling in my hands and ankles, any advice on how to do that other than putting my feet up and drinking more water?

  • 37 weeks pregnant....?

I'm 37 weeks pregnant, dilated to a 2 (almost a 3), and 80% effaced. I've had no contractions, just a lot of pressure and the doctor said the head is really low. Any mom's have any idea on how much longer it might be? I know sex helps labor, but are there any other ways to kick start labor?
