  • Benefits of religion?

In my religious studies class, I was chosen to do a presentation making the case for the benefits of religion (even though I'm an atheist)

Can someone give me some benefits of religion?

  • Making a move on this girl?

Theres this girl and the gym I go too that's really cute. My mate (who goes to the gym with me) says she keeps checking me out, and that I should go for it. Unfortunately I think it's rude to hit on people in a gym, as we go there to train, not get flirted at by random people.

    Is it okay, isn't it?

  • so a friend came out the closet?

When people I know have come out of the closet before I was like "huh" and got back to what I was doing, didn't treat it any different than a friend telling me something else.

However I've been told that's quite rude, am I supposed to congratulate him and if so how?

  • Fitness and Strength questions?

As of tomorrow my parents are finally allowing me to join the gym. I have some questions. For background information I'm about 5 '10 150 pound guy that is a couple of months off 16 and has above average strength, but below average stamina (Due to knee problems, I haven't been able to go running for a while)

1.) What muscles should I first work on in order to gain muscle, but not appear "too big"

2.) Which is better for building strength and cardiovascular endurance, Rowing or Swimming?

3.) What are realistic targets to be able to do by New Years Eve for shoulder, bench and tricep press?

Any additional tips would be useful and much appreciated, if you cant answer all questions, but can one, that too is appreciated.

    Thank you

  • What marvel heroes live in New York?

(Sorry not a very serious question)

It's just I'm interested in how in DC it's fictional cities for the characters, but in marvel they put their characters in real cities, so which heroes live in NYC in the main storyline?

  • Exersizing, but gaining weight?

Hey, I'm 15 and 5 foot 9. I weigh about 150 pounds. I recently started doing press ups because I thought it'd be good for me, nothing massive, just a hundred there, 150 here (in set's of 25 in reasonably quick succession). I started to up the ante and do 200 a day. No adverse affects except I've gained about 2 kilo's and I was hoping it'd help me lose fat :\

    Any suggestions?
