  • Bought a car from the dealership. Title came with someone else’s name on it?

The back has been filled out by the dealership already with my name and my mother’s (co-borrower) but why didn’t it come with the new purchaser’s (ME) info on the front of it? I’ve never seen a title come like this from the dealer. It has the previous owners name and address and the odometer reading at the time THEY purchased it, not when I did, which is way off. It is a Texas title. I have to get my tags today and need to know if this is going to be a problem.

  • Why won't my Galaxy S2 update to Jelly Bean!?

  • During government shutdown, can I use WIC checks that have already been issued?

I have three months worth of WIC checks in my folder that have already been printed. I can now use October's checks starting today. Or can I? Luckily my one year old twins are just now officially off formula but now they and my 3 year old all receive the usual milk, cheese, bread, cereal, produce, etc., and it sure is a HUGE help on the grocery bill. With the government being shutdown, can I even use them? I need to buy milk in the morning. I live in Missouri if that even matters.

  • What was the name of this 80s children's program?

I have this vague memory of a TV show I used to watch in the mornings when I was very little and can't for the life of me remember the name and I used to know the theme song, but over the years I've forgotten it, too. I'm 27 now, I was maybe 3 or 4 when I watched it. It always had a man who had two women with him who always wore long skirts and they always sang a song in what I think was maybe a park or zoo? And I seem to recall something about an elephant? LOL, sorry, those are the only things I remember about it! What was the name?!

The other shows I watched around that time were David the Gnome, Eureka's Castle, and Pinwheel if that helps.

  • How do you stop a HUGE, enthusiastic female Dogue de Bordeaux from jumping on guests!?

I'm at my wits end. People don't even want to come to my house anymore and she's become too strong for me to control on a leash. I've resorted to locking her up in her crate when people come over because she knocks them over and jumps in their lap. But locking her up only causes her to bark. She's 80lbs, 9mos, and only going to get bigger and more powerful.

P.S., My boyfriend absolutely refuses to get rid of her because she's a great guard dog and is good with our young children.

  • Could my infant daughter be showing early signs of autism?

I am a mom of three, a two year old daughter, and 3 month old boy-girl twins.

I gave birth to my twins by c-section on 9-18-12, exactly one month early because I was dilating too early and my daughter was breech against my cervix and she was at risk for coming out leg first. They spent no time in NICU and went home three days later.

They are just about three months now and my son is cooing and making noises, "talking " as we put it, smiling, and generally just seems like the happiest little boy with such personality and sense of humor. His twin sister on the other hand is the opposite. She rarely smiles or makes eye contact. She maybe looks at me one time for a couple seconds every day but most of the time is looking over her left shoulder. If I turn her, she looks over the right shoulder. This child will go out of her way to avoid looking at us! To the point where if we keep pressing it, she gets angry and cries. I don't understand why she is like this and it's scaring me that she may be showing early signs of autism. She eats and sleeps normally, sucks her hands, her hearing is fine as she responds to noises and when her dad gets up in the afternoon (he works nights) she looks around when she can hear his voice in the room. But when we actually pick her up, she doesn't want to smile or even look at us. She just wants to look at the ceiling fan, christmas tree, or she LOVES the tv. Sometimes the ceiling is more entertaining than us. Could she just be a little slow due to being born early? But why is her brother doing all these things and she isn't? I'm very worried and I've been working with her constantly and every time I can get her to look at me, I go out of my way to keep her attention for as long as I can, which isn't very long. They have a doctor's appointment coming up at the end of January and I plan on asking her about it then. What are your thoughts?

  • How to do a quit claim and get divorce?

My husband and I have been separated for three years. The reason we haven't been able to divorce is because we shared a mortgage and I was told that I couldn't take his name off the mortgage unless I refinanced the home into my name. Well, I never had the cash or the credit to do that. My home was destroyed in the May 22nd Joplin tornado and our insurance paid off the mortgage. (Too bad it took a horrible disaster like that to do it, but it turned out to be a blessing in my case because now I'm getting a brand new home, possibly mortgage free :)

Here's where I'm lost and don't know what to do...

Now that the mortgage is paid off, I'm told I must do a "quit claim" so that my husband can get his name off the title/deed/whatever. He and I get along just fine, we're not fighting over anything, we just want to get this over with once and for all. Where do I go to draw up this paperwork? How much does it cost? How long will it take?

A year and a half ago when my husband got a lawyer and filed for divorce I went out and got a lawyer as well just in case he tried to fight me for anything. Well, he stopped paying his lawyer and was eventually dropped but I paid my lawyer off ($1,000 is what it cost me) and nothing was ever done regarding the mortgage because I didn't have the means to refinance and he told me there was nothing else I could do to get his name off.

Since I've already paid him, once I get the quit claim done, can I just call up the lawyer and have him draw up divorce papers? Or did I wait too long? I'm so confused and have no idea how any of his works. Please tell me what to do! Thank you!

  • Which camera should I buy?

I'm looking into purchasing a new camera and I've narrowed it down to two cameras and I still can't seem to make up my mind which one I want. What do you think?

I'm not looking for anything too fancy, just something to use for everyday life, to take pictures of my daughter, pets, outdoors, family gatherings, and occasionally on trips. I want a 12MP camera and these two are right in my price range. Take a look at them and tell me what you think. Thanks!

  • Will D-CON harm my cats if they eat a dead mouse?

I have five cats and for about a month they have been taking shifts sitting in front of my stove just staring at the floor. I knew something was up. Today my sister finally saw that little b*st*rd in the kitchen and there's NO WAY in hell I will tolerate a mouse in my house! I plan on setting traps but I also want to put out some poison. Several years ago we had a problem with mice in the garage so we put out those green D-CON blocks and POOF, no more nasty little rats. If by some chance my cats are to find one and eat it, will the poison that killed the mouse harm my cats?

  • What do you think of my baby name?

I found out last week I'm having a baby girl! I'm so excited but me and her daddy are still trying to figure out her name. We decided on Lucy for sure. It's classic, but not overly used, still unique in it's own way. Then we kept going back and forth on a middle name. I liked Jane, but I thought Lucy Jane Martin was too plain... My middle name is Marie and my boyfriend liked that best. I thought it was alright and then we decided maybe we can both have the names we like. I like "Lucy Jane" and he likes "Lucy Marie" and she's going to have his last name.

So, here's the question...what sounds better? "Lucy-Jane" as a first name or Jane-Marie" for her middle name. That way, I get my two names and he gets his. I'm liking "Lucy-Jane" best for her first name, the Jane makes it a lot more different...but then if we name her that, I don't want people to call her "L.J." or just Lucy. If Lucy-Jane is her first name, that's what I want people to call her. I'm torn! What do you think.

  • I'm pregnant and I've read I'm not supposed to eat cold lunch meat?

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and I'm trying to be as healthy as possible. I don't eat fish except for the occasional tuna sandwich my doc says was okay, l limit my caffeine intake to one a day like the doc says and when I do drink soda, I drink Sprite or Root Beer, since it doesn't have caffeine. Now I've read in a lot of places that it's bad to eat cold lunch meat? In that case, I'm in major trouble because I eat a turkey sandwich every day, and if I'm real hungry, I'll have another! If the meat has been cooked at one time, shouldn't it be okay? The lunch meat I eat is the Oscar Meyer Deli Creations Smoke Turkey. The package says "fully cooked" but of course it's cold when I eat it. Am I going to harm my child by eating cold lunch meat? Also, someone told me not to eat mayonnaise either. I also put Miracle Whip on my sandwich! What's the deal? Do I have to give up my delicious daily snack or what? (Of course I would in a heartbeat if it is really as bad as everyone says it is)

  • I'm 16 weeks pregnant and I have Influenza Type A? Should I be worried?

Yesterday I noticed I had a runny nose and didn't think much of it. When I got home from work I was tired and had a headache and thought I felt warm. I didn't feel really sick, just annoyed by the headache. My temp was 100.8 when I left to go to Urgent Care. When I got there my temp was 99.1 and I tested positive for Influenza Type A. Which I guess is H1N1, right? They prescribed Tamiflu and told me to check with my OB to see if they thought it was okay to take it because it's not 100% safe during early pregnancy but her office is closed until Monday. I called the OB on call at the hospital and he said definately to take it. After taking the Tamiflu and tylenol and having hours of rest, I feel good now, no headache, fever is gone, ate some chicken soup and drinking juice, just feel kinda tired. How worried should I be for my baby?

  • 16 weeks pregnant feeling constant fetal movement - What's he/she doing in there!?

I'm 16 weeks pregnant, still not showing but I am beginning to feel baby moving around. At first it felt like little pokes but now it's that "fluttery" feeling most women describe. The other day my belly felt like a dance club because the baby was constantly moving around for like 18 hours! It doesn't hurt yet because he/she's not big enough to do any real damage it just feels weird and tickles. Two days past and I didn't feel a thing. I woke up a couple hours ago and the little rascal is at again! What exactly is baby doing in there? Jumping jacks? Cart wheels? We find out next month what it is, I'm so excited! Thanks for your answers.

  • How can I store wood in my garage for winter and still avoid termites?

Now that winter's approaching, I'm stocking up on wood for my fireplace because it's cheaper to run that then the central heat. I usually keep the wood in the back yard but it gets rained and snowed on and it takes forever to dry out before I can use it. How can I store it in my garage without worrying about termites getting into it and possibly infesting my house? Will this even be an issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Would it be inhumane to mussle a small dog that barks too much at night?

I have a Jack Russel/Shitzu mix and she loves to bark. Every night I take her out to potty, she barks her head off at nothing and doesn't stop! EVER! She makes all the other dogs in the neighborhood bark and wakes everyone up. Would it be cruel to put a mussle on her only at night when I take her out to potty? Would it be less cruel to put a shock collar on her? How can I make her hush up?!

Just for kicks, here's a cute picture of her:

  • Why did this happen to my annual flowers?

My annual flowers that I planted in pots did well for the first two weeks this year and all of the sudden they turned yellow, brown, and crunchy and slowly died. I planted Geraniums, Pansies, and Petunias. They all got full sun just like they were supposed to. I don't understand. What happened? It's rained constantly here so did they get too much water? I planted them in draining pots, I just don't get it? Here are some pictures:
