  • Is there a difference between an Indian ''Mixie/Grinder'' and a blender?

I am making dosa batter and it states on the instructions to put the mixture into a grinder. I checked online and saw things like Preeya Mixie / Grinder which I figure is the type of grinder they are talking about. The item looks like fancy blender with different size blending containers. Could I use a Vitamix blender to do the same type of ''grinding''? It is pretty high powered...

  • How do you get naan bread to stick in tandoor?

I saw people adding a little water and then slapping them on. I have a homemade tandoor made from a clay pot and sits on charcoal. - some naans will stick and some will not.

  • What to serve with Persian Saffron rice?

Hi: Made a large batch of Persian saffron rice and wondering what can be served with it? Should it be served with a Khoresh over it or an Ash. (I like it to be moist with gravy of some kind, though it is very good by itself...I can't eat the whole of it plain!)

  • Girls after my son - Mom wants to know if usual?

My son has always seemed to attract girls, who seem very forward in approaching him. Years ago when I was young, girls would never call a boy first or say ''Hey - I think you're cute'' whatever. Is this the norm for nowadays? He's 19 BTW - so I wasn't raised in the last century;)).
