  • Contact Yahoo!... and, "WHY?"?

Yahoo! feels free to change its format... its face.

(But, no: It's not ITS format... ITS face... It is what I (we?) have to re-learn in order to use.)

How do I (effectually) get into contact with "the powers that be" to 1) Request some warning and 2) Require some instruction about the random changes?

I've tried to ask this sort of question in the past. The best response I've received has been "See FAQ" That's not what I'm looking for.

AIG was "too big to fail." Is Yahoo! too big to give a damn?

  • Yahoo's new and improved mail?

I suppose the main question is: Why did Yahoo! take a perfectly good, usable mail system and screw it up with "improvements" to the inbox? (That's sort of background - so you know where I'm coming from.) I now have flashing tabs at the top of the lousy page. 'Don't know why they're there... would like to get them to go away. 'Don't know what "conversations" means... don't care. Symbols at the top instead of words: A bold step backward.

The bottom line is that I'm one disgruntled subscriber. Perhaps I have no right to complain: I'm not paying for it. However, the advertisers are - and they are close to loosing one set of eyes.

If anyone out there can tell me how to find the directions for this latest iteration of Yahoo! Mail - and, just maybe, explain how Yahoo! never learned the "If it ain't broke... don't fix it!" maxim - I'd be most appreciative.

  • VERY annoying "chat window"...?

Please help! I'm not allowed to read my Yahoo! e-mail without a chat window in the lower right corner telling me that "bb_kiss742 wants to have me add him or her....".

I'm not allowed to exit the page without first satisfying some damn drop-down box reminding me that I have unanswered chat messages. I don't know what this is about. I'm not interested. (I've even tried to respond - to request it be stopped... couldn't find an "out".)

I'd sure like some help in making this go away!

(I think the one thing I find most irritating about Yahoo! is my inability to contact them directly. I should be asking them.)

    Thanks,

    Richard

  • TVs: Plasma vs. LCD... please advise.?

We are considering a new TV. Price is definately a consideration in purchase, maintainance, and repair. What are the pros and cons of the two different types? The only other detail I can think of is that reflections from unshaded windows, etc., are a problem with our current set - and its replacement will probably be in the same location.

  • Trying to edit "Final Cut" video and see results on a TV connected to Apple computer. NTSC monitor?

Am using a VGA adapter and S-video cable between the computer and a TV. The TV display is the same as what's on the computer screen. I'm trying to get things connected so I will see what I'm producing exactly as it would be if it were already on a DVD being played on a home TV. Is the television displaying in NTSC or is it acting as a vga monitor? Any suggestions?
