  • comic relief fund raising?

    we have been sat watching comic relief this evening and are amazed at how much money is still being donated considering were in a recession.

    but what we were wondering is whether or not the u.k is the only western country that does a charity raising event on this scale as we can't recall hearing about any others.

  • does anyone know how an electrical mains tester works?

    i have brought a mains tester to test some sockets at home,its shapedlike a screwdriver and i'm placing the screwdriver edn into the socket as told in the instructions, then placing my finger on the metal conector on the handle, nothing is happening even on sockets i know work, is it me or the tester

    i've been suffering with a very stiff neck since sunday, i've suffered no trauma to my neck, but it's getting worse now, then pain is now spreading to my base of skull and makin me feel sick. i taken paracetamol and ibruprfen but not much use.

    does anyone know how much is expected to be paid for my 2 children in maintanance i earn £850 a month.

    just incase anyone is wondering i have not paid for a few years because my exwife decidedto change my childrens name and said she did not want any money because her and her new husband wanted to bring them up as theirs and i agreed for the sake of the children, but now the children want to see me and i want to see them my ex and her husband have divorced too and she nows wants money again.

  • does anyone know if there is a time limit on credit card companies demanding there money back?

    ex wife ran bill up, know i'm left to pay it but at time because i didn't know due to moving and thinking i had paid it off,

    now 7 years after apparently defaulting i have been told i still owe £4000

    should they have written it off or can they still demand payment.

    my ex girlfriend has found out that have come into some money and is now saying i owe her because she took out a loan to pay for a holiday (this also paid off some of her bebts)

    i never said i would pay the loan with her, it was all in her name and it was for more than the cost of our holiday.

    i don't think i sould owe her anything, she has never asked for anything in the last 2 half years but now suddenly wants some money because she has heard i have been given a pay out

    we have been split up for over 2 years.

  • what causes fits in someone who gives up alcohol?

    my boyfriend today stopped drinking after a few years of heavy drinking (is alcoholic) by this evening he had a full seizure at home then again at hospital i know alcohol ruins the liver and i know we perhaps should have seeked medical help before he quit but i don't know waht causes the fits.

    even after fitting and comming round he still wants to stay off the booze so theres a light at the end of the tunnel

    hi my partner has finaly admitted he has a drink problem, although i've suspected for a while.
