  • just a thought...?

protein synthesis tells us that a double strand of DNA is unwould by enzymes, nucleotides bound to the bases by enzymes, the RNA is translated at the RER on the ribosomes into a new protein.

now the thing is, how did it start? its a chicken and egg situation, you need DNA to make proteins, but you need the proteins there first. so how did the process start?

even in single cell organisms there is still a similar process, so are the odds just not too unrealistic for the process to have started by chance? just something to think about and discuss

  • pronunciation of bible names?

many people refuse to use the name Jehovah as they say it is probably not the original pronunciation of the tetragrameton.

however, everyone is perfectly happy to go about using the modern pronunciations of every other name in the bible. Moses, Aaron, Abraham, Adam, Solomon, David, Peter, Paul, John etc. and of course, Jesus. the original pronunciation of nearly every name in the bible is lost, but we still use names to define the people apart.

isn't it hypocritical that people will give a name to every man who was recorded in the scriptures, but will dishonour God by only giving him titles? the lord's prayer tells us to pray for God's name to be sanctified. how can it be if it isn't used? it won't be the original pronunciation, but we can use the most likely pronunciation just as we do with everyone else in the bible.

even Jesus and other angels have been given names. so why not our God?

  • anyone ever heard of Mrs. Brzakovic?

she is the cousin of the current pope, who received a phone call after he became the pope. run her name through a search engine and you will see a newspaper article outlining the main points of the call. those being him encouraging his cousin to follow her faith and saying 'You are doing the work that we should do'.

his cousin is a Jehovah's witness

  • Christians, why do you refuse to use Gods name?

psalms 83:18 says that the most high is Jehovah. the lords prayer opens with 'let your name be sanctified'.

so why do you still go about refering to Him as God, Father and Lord when you could be using His actual name Jehovah?

  • what would you say if i told you jesus has already 'come' and is king?

right then, get your heads around this. luke 21:24 says jerusalem(representing true worshippers of God) would be trampled on by the nations until the appointed time is fulfilled. jerusalem was destroyed in 607bce begining that time period. daniel 4:23-25 is a prophecy with a double meaning. initially it refered to nebuchadnezzer, but it also refers to Gods kingdom. the scripture speaks of 7 times passing over. so 7 times will pass over from 607bce to the coming of Gods kingdom. revalation 12:6,14 can be used to see that 3 and a half times is 1260 days. so 7 times is 2520 days. nothing happened 2520 days after 607 bce, but if we use the 'day for a year' principle found innumbers 14:34 and ezekial 4:6, that is 2520 years. 2520 years after 607 bce is 1914.

so if Gods kingdom began ruling in 1914, we would expect the signs of christs presence (matthew 24:3-14) to be seen. plus, revalation 12:9 explains why bad things happen. talk to jehovahs witnesses. they know a thing or two.

  • where did the idea of going to heaven come from?

i'm just trying to understand why everyone is so convinced the bible says we are going to heaven if we are good when we die. and here's my brief reasoning using three scriptures (though there are more). ecclesiastes 9:5 says the dead are conscious of nothing. john 5:28,29 says there is going to be a resurrection, and psalm 37:10,11 says the meek will inherit the earth. and just a thought, if we were supposed to go to heaven, why create adam and eve to live forever on earth if they weren't meant to be there?
