  • Stages of a relationship. Where am I?

I had an awkward date last night. I asked this girl in a date the night before and we went on our first date. She's from Russia so she doesn't have family here. We made out at the end of the date. It seems like we like each other. I'm not sure if this means we're seeing each other since it was one date albeit making out or if it means we're just friends still at this point. Any points since I'm not very good at understanding this stuff?

  • Why are police paid more than nurses?

A friend of mine said he didn't want to be a nurse because there was so much schooling to do before becoming a nurse while police had a pension and got paid much more with just high school diplomas. Why are police paid more than nurses and more respected as well?

  • Guilty for studying too much?

I've been studying during the summer for my next semester for my 3rd semester in my nursing program. I'm a bit embarrassed lately of studying during the summer since many people aren't. Passing this program means I'm not gonna be broke though so I'm taking it very seriously. Has anybody on here taken something like this as seriously?

Note: I have still been doing Judo and Jiu Jitsu during my time off so I do enjoy my summer time.

  • Is nursing school that easy?

This girl I m friends with told me she wanted to originally go to school for biochemistry and her mother told she should go to become an attorney or a doctor but decided to go for nursing. She tells me she was told not to do nursing because she s too smart for it She also said she felt too smart for nursing... this is annoying to me. Meanwhile she get s low 80s on her tests which 80 is a passing grade.

Another girl I know said she decided not to go become a nurse because it was beneath her intelligence so now shes s looking to supplement her income as a biochemist by becoming an EMT.

Why do people look down on nurses and say that they are too intelligent to be nurses? Did I miss something where nursing school was easy?

  • Unsafe lane change after a truck was pushing me into the other lane. Can I win this?

I was driving and there was a truck driving in both lanes. I went around that guy and when he realized I was going to cut him off he started driving into me pushing me into the opposite lane. A cop saw this and issued me a ticket for unsafe lane change. Is there anything I can do about this? Do I have any chance of fighting and winning it?

The cop even went to check up my registration and saw it was under a different name. When he asked for his dispatcher to run my plates my name came up. He even was arguing with me that my insurance was expired when he was reading when the insurance was active. He noticed his error on both my registration and my insurance and only gave me a ticket for unsafe lane change.

  • Can I help my friend s mom who has Lupus when I become a nurse?

One of the reasons I wanted to become a nurse was to help my friends, my mom and my friends parents if they need help with anything. My friend s mom has Lupus and I m not sure what I would be able to do once I become a nurse. I know she would obviously have a team of doctors, nurses, etc. but I mean if she needed some basic help and I was around I wouldn t mind helping with what I can. Is this possible?

  • Selling an item in Dunkin Donuts. Is this illegal?

Is it illegal to sell merchandise at a nearby Dunkin Donuts?

Some guy earlier wanted to sell an item at a nearby Dunkin Donuts. He had nowhere to sit so he asked me if he can take my seat so he can sell his merchandise to somebody else. I told him "no". He got so mad he started calling me an "asshole" and cussed me off. I don't care about him, but he started selling his item and while he was selling his item he was continuing to cuss me off and I told him I was going to call the police because he needed a license to sell merchandise in ANOTHER store as well as for harassment.

Isn't it illegal to sell merchandise inside a Dunkin Donuts or a McDonald's?

  • Changing Jiu Jitsu schools. Has anyone else felt this way?

I go to this one school and gotten tired of the school. I went to this other school locally because I don't have to drive there and enjoyed rolling about as much as when I first started maybe 5 years ago. This teacher has a different way of teaching of course. The one thing I definitely liked was when I'd mess something up he wouldn't come up to me complaining that I'm a purple belt and that I should know better about a technique he does. Has anyone left to a different school for the change in atmosphere and teaching directive?

  • Am I eligible for financial aid?

I'm an independent student over the age of 21. My mom who's 73 years old receives social security retirement benefits as well as still keeps a job. I make 22,000/yr roughly. I still live with her but I pay rent which is equal to her property tax, bills and my own food. Would the fact that my mom receives social security and still works disqualify me?

  • Driving with a fictitious license plate. Some advice would be greatly appreciated if possible?

I got pulled over last night for not yielding to a pedestrian and along that the cop said I had fictitious plates. I wasn t aware of how it worked with getting new plates. That was my fault. Then the cop told me I had my license suspended which I m guessing it s from a ticket I may have paid late after they had sent the suspension. Is my only option to get an attorney to fight these tickets because I know these are really bad tickets. Can somebody here give me some general advice? I ve never been in a situation like this.

I also make maybe 17,000 roughly for the year so my options are pretty limited.

  • With regards to word problems, how do you know which number goes into the numerator and denominator?

"When David arrived in the country of Georgia, he exchanged $165.00 of United States (US) currency for $385.00 Georgian Laris. When he is ready to return to the US, he has $147.00 Laris left. Assuming the exchange rate is the same, how many US dollars is that worth?"

My issue is I accidentally divided 385/165 and got 2.33, but I should have divided it backwards (I.E. 165/385). I always make this mistake. When reading a word problem with regards to division, how do you know which goes into the denominator and which goes to the numerator? Thank you in advance for your help!
