2001 silverado 5.3 check engine light flashes when i hold 2500 to 3000 rpms for a while but i cannot feel a misfire. never leaves a code and i have no power loss. what do you think is causing this? It will not do it if i hold a lower or higher rpm than this

i have an 01 with a 5.3 and i want the exhaust to cackle really loud..how would i go about doing this

My pull truck motor has a bit of sludge in it... what is the best way to remove it? I know BG has an engine flush kit... but i want to know if there is a better way to do it... thanks for any help

I have a 93 stock 350 tbi and i want to put a carburater on this motor and i was wondering if any one can tell me if this motor has the eccentric shaft for a mechanical fuel pump. The motor has a plate on the side where the mechanical pump would be mounted, but i have not had time lately to take it off and see if there was anything under this plate. Thank for any help.

Every couple of days now i have to add coolant to my suburban(1995) and its not just a little, its alot. I do drive 50 miles or so every day and after 2 days or so i have to add like a whole containers worth of anifreeze... thats alot. My head gasket is fine and its not leaking into the tranny cooler, and it holds pressure after eight hours, and the heater core is not leaking, and its not coming out of the weep hole on the water pump...where is my coolant going? Unless its burning that much I cant think of anything else...please any help is much appreciated

i have a 91 taurus sho, and after idleing for some time, the oil light just barely starts to flicker, after a little longer it will just blink at idle. if i just barely push the accelerator, it goes away. so im leaning toward the oil pressure switch. but i was wondering, would an oil pressure switch cause a 50 or so rpm change in idle when the light flicks? its a louder car and i can hear the idle fluxuate about 50 or so, and i dont hear any noises from the engine that would tell me its not getting enough oil pressure

i have a 91 taurus sho, and when im in nuetral and i push the gas more than 1\4 throttle, it wont rev up. if i floor it it will stay at 3000rpm. i changed the fuel filter, dont have an engine light on, and when i drive it, it shakes really, really bad when i push the throttle fast, but it doesnt die, or missfire. the tps is working properly. i cant find the problem.

i have a manual 3.0 and when i start it and rev it, it revs slowly if i push the pedal too far. and if im driving if i push the pedal to far the whole car shakes violently. i changed the fuel filter and i check and there is no air restrictions. what should i check next?

i have a 91 sho and the power steering lines are leaking like crazy. i didnt pay much for the car and i dont want to put too much money into it. can i just eliminate the power steering system for good instead of fixing it?

I replaced the thermostat on my 95 turbo diesel. It worked for like 3 weeks, and now i think its not working. My dad drove it and the temp got up to 260< (and yes, i know this is really bad, but i wasnt driving) and the tube from the radiator was really hard, like it was building pressure because of the thermostat not opening. Could this be a defective thermostat?(and i ordered it through napa, so it Should be the right one) or could there be something else wrong with it? I dont think it would be the water pump, but i could be wrong. Any help?

I want to put 33s with a 4 inch displacement on my truck(they stick out 4 inches compared to stock). How big of a lift do i need for them to fit?

I ordered summit headers without air provisions, and my truck has a tube that runs of the one manifold. How do i bypass, or get my truck to work right without it? Is there a way, or do i HAve to plug that tube into the exhaust somewhere? What do i do, because i cannot send my headers back?
