I'm planning on transferring to FIU next year. I'm currently a full-time student studying Marketing with a 3.0 GPA and I get about $5,500 of FAFSA. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and I would like to know what Scholarships/Grants are offered nationwide, in florida or in FIU that might work for me. From need-based to latin/hispanic, etc...

I'm planning on moving to Miami to attend FIU next year. I understand I have to live in FL 12 months prior to asking for residency... As of right now I have a valid Orlando driver's license that I got back in 2011 when I was about to move but couldn't get it done. Other than that I have car in FL registered to my name which I think helps. I'm 19 and I have never lived in Florida neither have my parents. Lets say I start college on January of 2014, will I be elegible to request Florida residency on January of 2015 or am I missing something?

The university I want to go to is 5K for florida residents and 20K for out of state students. Obviously, the only way I could afford going would be if they viewed me as a Florida resident. I lived a bit over a year in Florida back when I was about 4 years old but have no way of proving it with school papers because I wen't do daycare. My family still has the house I lived in back when I was four. Could I apply to become a Florida resident even though the only time I've lived in Florida was when I was 4 years old? I know it says you have to live in FL for at least a year and I did but does it have to be recent? Also, I have a valid FL driver's license and a valid FL voting ID card of about 3 months, don't know if that helps.

Lets say a player like JJ Barea, Tyson Chandler or Caron Butler, who helped the mavs win a championship last year, signs with another team. (All three of them are expected to change teams). If their new team doesn't play the mavs this season, when would they get their ring?

I'm 17 years old and i'm starting college in august. I calculated my monthly payments and I could work with something at about 20K. I'm open to a coupe, sedan, crossover or SUV. I'm looking for 4 cylinder or small 6 cylinder engine. So far i've only seen the 2011 compass and patriot but i'm not convinced with the cheap plastic interior and bad resale value. Also i've been reading the CVT transmissions are not that reliable. Any ideas on what would be good for me?
