I thought I had finally got it across to my mom that she has to get help (counsellor + anger managment) before she is allowed to be around my son (due in may). well today I was on the phone with her and she made a point of saying that she will be coming over to see my son after he is born... I don't want her there nor am I comfortable with someone that abused me as a child being around my newborn son.

I don't know how else to get this point across to her.... I have told her... I have sat down and tried to have an adult conversation with her where she then gets right pissed off at me...I've tried treating her like a child.... and nothing seems to work!

and before anyone goes off about how she deserves to be able to see her grndchild and how im being a horrible person and blah blah blah...

she threatened to take custody of my some because...and I quote "Im going to be a horrible mother I am not smart enough to raise a child and I dont deserve to be having a child"

I really need some advise on how to get this point across to my mom that no she will NOT be allowed around my son until she get some serious help!

So we are having my baby shower sometime in march and we will be having it in our fourplex... its not a huge place but will be big enough... anyways...

We will have two 11 year olds coming a boy and a girl... I don't want them sitting on their ipads or cell phones or whatever the whole time because thats not why their going to be there. However we dont have alot of ideas to keep them preoccupied....

My MIL is throwing the baby show and said just to have board game but I dont want to have a bunch of little pieces out... you can play board games anytime... this isnt the time for that...

We are looking at getting plain white onsies so each guest can decorate one but that only keeps them preoccupied for a little while and we will probably be playing don't say baby and measure moms tummy... but they only keep kids that age preoccupied for a short amount of time...

Can anyone give me some ideas as to other games we could have for the kids or other crafts that wont be super pricey??

So im 23 weeks pregnant and im absolutely terrified about tearing during birth... im also scared about the doctor not listening and cutting me.... I want to tear naturally if im going to tear.... but i get panicky and moody and sweaty and my heart starts beating really fast every time I think about it because I don't want my doctor to not listen to me and cut me and I don't want to tear really bad.

Is there anything I can do to help me not tear?

Can any of you women tell me about when you gave birth to your first baby?

The doctor is also telling me that my uterus is measuring big by just about two weeks and he said my son looks big... should I be worried??? does this mean anything in particular?

Did any one else have the doctor tell them this??

I am making marinated pork cutlets (boneless) for supper and have heard you can bake them but I dont know at what temperature or for how long?

HELP!!

What can I do to help my spider plants not wilt and maybe bring the babies back to life??? I have three plants one is super healthy looking the other one has some brown curling leaves and all the babies have wilted and the other one everything is wilting:S

they are all in the same spot so I know its not a lighting issue.... I watered them this week but im not sure what im doing wrong?? How can I fix this?

My mom has become extremely controlling since she found out I was pregnant (I'm almost 22 weeks pregnant)... She started getting made anytime my boyfriends mom would get brought up and had tried numerous times to get me to move home... ( I'm 19 legal age in Canada).

Anyways I had asked her months ago if she would throw me my baby shower in march because our son is due in May and I want time to set everything up and have everything cleaned and sanitized. Anyways... She then went and booked up every weekend in March and told me I would have to have it 3 weeks before our son is born if she is throwing it. So I told her not to worry about it ill just throw it myself because it is very important to me to have enough time to have everything cleaned before our son gets here... not to mention I have people coming to the baby shower from 8 hours away and I really want them to be there. She then went off calling me an ungrateful B**** and that im turning into my biological grandmother (I really dislike her and the way she treats everyone).

I told my mom that if this is how she is going to be acting im very uncomfortable with the idea of my son being around her and that she now has four months to prove to me that she is good enough to be around my son.

I just want to throw out there that my mom has been verbally mentally and physically abusive towards me since I was 13. She would yank handfuls of my hair out scream at me call me unthinkable names called me fat constantly and has hit me multiple times with badminton rackets and other solid objects.

So I was just wondering did I do the right thing by cutting contact off with my mother until she can prove herself good enough to be around my son?

my cousin gave me three spider plants yesterday and we brought them into the house ASAP as to keep them out of the cold.... however all the babies have wilted since last night and the plants started turning brown almost instantly.... I dont know what to do or what i did wrong??

What can I do to help them live?

Im making chicken breast for supper with a couple different sides for me and my boyfriend.

I was just wondering if I brine the chicken ( put it in salt water for an hour in the fridge) would it taste ok?? Is this something that alot of people do?? what does it do to the chicken??

if I baked the chicken at 375 degrees F for 45min-1hr would that be long enough??

Im cooking up three chicken breasts if that makes a difference.

I am thawing them out before I cook them as well

So last night my boyfriend and I were laying in bed and I had my hand on my tummy and I felt what felt like someone flicking my insides hard then my boyfriend had his hand on my tummy and felt the same thing. I am 18 weeks pregnant and just wondering if this possibly could be the baby kicking?

So I'm 17 weeks pregnant and for about the last week or two my nipples have been really dry, they're starting to crack and are really really itchy. They almost hurt and I was just wondering what some solutions would be to help make them not how they are.

I did go and pick up nursing pads along with lansinoh HPA is a nursing cream. It does say you can use it in your last trimester to wase dryness and promote healthy looking supple skin.

Just wondering what else I could try?

Im soooo constipated.... im 13 weeks pregnant and taking zofran... the doctor gave me diclectine and stool softeners.... but im so constipated I want to cry everytime I sit down:'( Please I need adise on what to do to make me poop like right now!... Ive tried enemas and they dont work

I cant take anything for it due to not being able to keep anything down. I do plan on talking to,my doctor on wednesday but its unbearable. I havent even gotten out of bed today I cant move or I get sick eating or drinking makes me puke. My prenatal vit. Make me puke. Im so weak I cant bath until my boyfriend gets home and helps me do everything... Im getting super depressed because I cant move or im sick and ive been in tears for the last two days. Please help!

My morning sickness has gotten so bad water makes me puke I cant keep anything down ive tried gingerale and it makes me sick.... crackers come back up no matter what time I eat them.... and I had to stop taking my prenatal vitamins because I cant even get it into my mouth without puking:( WHAT DO I DO!?!?!?!?!?!

So im eight weeks pregnant today and my morning sickness has been so bad the last three days I cant even eat anymore... Any ideas on what to do?

Ive been taking two ginger gravol pills every four hours.... no more than 6 a day... but they dont seem to be working very well.... and I cant take gravol.

I just got back from my prenatal exam... and I got told they only do one ultrasound between 18 and 20 weeks.... In saskatchewan they do two.... one at 8 weeks and one between 18 and 20 weeks.

So why do they only do one in alberta?

So I woke up this morning and there was a little bit of coloured discharge on my underwear... It looked like spotting...... im really worried:(... Could it be a miscarriage?? or is something else wrong??? I dont go to my doctor until thursday:(
