I received an email on here, Yahoo Answers, from a new user. It was kind of a short but mean message and he'd sent it to a few of contacts too, calling us all "bitches" lol. I blocked him straight away and told him he was blocked and reported to Yahoo.

He bypassed the block and emailed me back, saying he was sorry, he thought I was a bit of a cow but then realised I wasn't really...he said he'd had a crush on me for a while and had been looking at my profile and Q/As. He said he was good with computers which is why he could bypass the block.

I just said, ok whatever, I can't stop you from messaging me can I - he replied saying he wouldn't contact me again if I didn't want him to, but that he'd recently been hurt in a bad relationship and wanted someone to talk, apparently I reminded him of his ex and he has a crush on me.

We started chatting, he kep saying his feelings for me are growing, I added him on Facebook and his pictures are all very very handsome, they look like modelling shots. I asked him about it and he said he'd done the odd spot of modelling. He said he lives in the US and has a good career in IT and his job takes him a lot of places and meets a lot of people.

He keeps saying he likes me a lot, wants to be with me - he even sent me a song on Youtube which he has "dedicated" to me. I've just come out of a bad relationship too and we've been chatting about it.

My feelings are growing but we've only been chatting for 2 weeks....and I've read horror stories about these "dating scams" in Nigeria, Ghana etc - how do I know if he's legit or not?

He hasn't asked me for money, and there's no way I'd send him any - but I just don't know what to feel, how to ask him, (he wouldn't exactly admit it anyway, would he?) or even to believe if the guy in the pictures is really him.

Any advice?

Ok so over the past couple of months I've noticed quite a strong odour coming from down there, it's worse when I sweat in the heat but even just after I've showered I notice this smell. It's quite an unpleasant, almost "fishy" smell and it's making me paranoid.

I shower every morning (I DON'T use those "feminine washes" because I was told by nurse and a doctor they were a bad idea) I normally use just fresh water. I put on clean underwear, yet by the afternoon I really notice that smell, especially when I go to the ladies, I smell it as soon as I pull my knickers down :(

and by the time I get home from work it smells really bad. What's the deal? is it because it's hot weather now and I'm sweating more?

One of my best friends sometimes gets this, she's told me before she "smells" herself and it smells really unpleasant like a fishy smell of stale sweat. I always secretly thought it was because she's quite overweight, she weighs 18 stone and always gets puffed out in the heat and sweats a lot - but I'm not overweight so what's the problem??

ok so I love my bf and we have a relatively good relationship, been together 6 years, had our ups and downs but I guess that's pretty normal in most relationships.

I used to have a massive sexual appetite but now it's just curled up and died, I just don''t know what's going on with me!! I'm only 25!

I work 2 jobs and have to be up at 6am every morning, do a lot of late shifts and am very very tired when I get home. he works just as hard as me, plus both our jobs involve a lot of walking and we're usually exhausted by the evening.

But even on weekends when we're both free, at home together we're either too tired, lethargic, or we've just got too much to do, eg housework, shopping, looking after his mother who's ill - and we just DON'T have the energy or the time for sex!!

Both of us have suffered from depression in the past and gone through a rough patch lately where we spent ages arguing and bickering and I was fed up because he's been abusive to me in the past, but now he's stopped and says he adores me and doesn't want to lose me...but he still comes home tired, stressed, and no energy for anything except dinner, bath, bed!

I hate this, I love sex because it brings you closer to each other but what can we do when we're so tired and stressed? why don't I want it anymore? To be honest nowadays the thought of curling up on the sofa with a good movie and a beer together turns me on more then sex!!

The only solace she has are her JW friends in the congregation, a good support network.

Unless he has cheated on her, she isn't permitted to leave him? She can't get a divorce? Even though he is making her life a misery?

Even if she divorces him on grounds of mental cruelty, according to your beliefs this isn't a "scriptual" divorce and she is not permitted to re-marry. Ever. So she has to spend the rest of her life alone?

Ok, my boyfriend and I are in a room at a shared house, been there about 2 months, hopefully moving into our own place in autumn.

The guy in the room next to ours is such a selfish jerk sometimes, he stays downstairs until about 11 or 12 at night playing the Xbox, then comes crashing upstairs, puts his stereo or laptop on and watches DVDs/listens to music until about 1 or 2am. He doesn't bother to turn the volume down even though we already asked once.

Last night he was on the phone to his mate until about 2:30am, he wasn't whispering or even talking quietly, he was like talking really loudly and laughing and swearing.

I have to be up for work at 7 and my boyfriend has to be up at 6:30.

We're not sure how to address the problem, I wanted to go in last night and tell him he's a selfish asshole but I don't want to cause bad feelings in the house, there's already tension between people. He's been there for 2 years as has everyone else, and we've only been there 2 months.

What should we do?

So over the last 2 months or so I've had zero sex drive, I love my man to bits and I love being close to him, I adore cuddles etc but I just can't get my zest for it back lately!!

Ok so about 3 weeks ago I missed 2 pills on 2 consecutive days, not good I know, but I had loads on my mind at the time!!

My fiance and I had unprotected sex once about 2 days afterwards, well we used a condom but only right at the end so he wouldn't come in me...

I know I know we've been foolish. Now my period's 6 day's late.

I remember this happening as my parents knew a few people in that congregation at the time. I think this just about summarizes everything that is wrong with this cult.

I can't understand why there's so many JWs on this website when they know they're warned against it.

By visiting this site, they're exposing themselves to "bad associations" and "apostates" and this in direct conflict with that they're warned against. The WTBTS has mentioned on MANY MANY occasions via publications and talks at assemblies etc that the Internet should not be used for trying to preach to people and to AVOID "religious discussion" websites.

I'm sure many of them would reply that this isn't a religious discussion website.

I beg to differ and I cannot see how they can possibly claim otherwise.

This is a question/answer discussion website and the Religion and Spirituality topic board speaks for itself. There are many people here who hate the JWs with a passion and come on here to spread lies about the religion and spit their venom all over the JWs. These are ones that the JWs would call "apostates" and therefore common sense should dictate that they stay away from sites like these, in line with the advice given by the "faithful and discreet slave."

(I don't hate them btw but I disagree with their beliefs and have strong opinions on why I think they're misguided and hypocritical, but that's another discussion).

This isn't a rant but a genuine question as I'm appalled at how many people on here claim to be JWs.

Hi I got a penalty notice today for not displaying a valid ticket - however I DID have one it just fell off my dashboard when I closed the door. I know I should have been checking it but I was preoccupied with getting my baby niece out of the car...it's £50 but £25 if paid within 14 days!

If I appeal it and send in my valid ticket do you think they'll let me off? Or am I wasting my time appealing it?

At the end of the day I can prove that I bought a ticket to park legally...any advice?

For about a week I've had a weird, cramping pain on the left side of my chest. It hurts to breathe when it gets really bad and it throbs when I bend over. It feels like a bad cramp and sometimes a slight burning sensation...?

I've also got a REALLY sore spot on my left shoulder blade, which feels connected to the pain too. Its really sore and tender, almost like a burn.

What do you think this could be??

If someone on here has an abusive profile how would you about reporting it??

I know you guys don't allow sex before marriage, but what about afterwards, what stuff are you allowed to do and not do?

When I was a JWit I was told that you're not allowed oral or anal sex, however afterwards I heard of bros and sisters in the cong who DID do it. And it was a "conscience" matter between husbands and wives.

So which is it? Are you allowed to practise these things or not, and if not, what is the basis for it?
