  • Will I get into Belmont University?

Belmont University is my top choice school. I have visited the campus twice, and I sent my application in on November 1st. My weighted GPA is 3.448, while my unweighted GPA is about a 3.2. I scored a 28 on the ACT. I'm so nervous! What do you think my chances are of being admitted to the university?

  • Does every adoptee have two birth certificates?

I know that most adopted people have two birth certificates - their amended one (with the adoptive parent's names) and the original (with the biological parent's names and information). I have my original birth certificate with my adoptive parent's names on it. My parents told me that this was the only one because they signed an "agreement" with my birth mother. Is this possible, or does every adoptee have two birth certificates?

  • Black and gold spots after standing up?

This has been happening to me since I was little, but recently it's gotten worse and worse.

Whenever I stand up, (especially after I'm laying down) or even if I'm sitting upright, black and gold spots appear everywhere, and I lose my vision for about 15 seconds. I usually lay down (and sometimes just on the floor that moment) as soon as it happens, Because if I continue standing, It'll eventually go away, but it feels like theres alot of pressure in my head and it a weird "burning" sensation in my head starts.

My blood pressure is great, so it can't be hypertension or anything.

I'm making a doctors appoint in a few days,

but does anyone have an idea of what it might be?

Even when I take my time to stand up, it still happens. I've only fainted once because of it.

I've had an on-and-off headache for two days now, and hopefully it's gone by tomorrow.

  • Possible Eating Disorder Developing?

I'm constantly on a diet, though lately i've been eating less and less. I keep track of my calories, and if i don't know the nutrition info on something, i look it up online. I never go over 1,000 calories, and usually try to stay under 800. I'm 5'4" and weigh 106 lbs. I usually plan out what i'm going to eat, and I try to stay away from high calorie/ high fat foods in general. I crave sweet things, and when i binge its almost always on cookies, candy, and chocolate. I use to binge a lot on the weekends, then restrict during the week, but lately I've been binging less and less.

I sometimes think i'm developing an eating disorder, (or Eating Disorder - Not Otherwise Specified), but then i feel like i'm "faking it", because i love food. Sometimes I Chew & Spit as well. Though, I'm not depressed or anything like that. From what I've heard, girls with eating disorders are depressed. I'm not the best at expression emotion, though i'm usually a high-spirited person.

Food, and the ideas of thin and not eating are constantly on my mind. And I feel stronger than my friends, when they talk about how much food they ate that day, while secretly, I only had about 400 calories. I sometimes feel in control when I choose what I eat, and I like it when I'm able to eat what I what. I usually have the same things each day.

Could I be developing an eating disorder? Or, is this just a phase?

  • Walking pneumonia turning worse?

I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia about 5 days ago. The doctor said i had bronchitis at first, and it turned into pneumonia. I've been taking antibiotics for the past 5 days, as well as Mucinex DM, and some Emergen-C to try to boost my immune system.

Though, it seems like the pneumonia is only getting worse. I'm wheezing more, i've been more sore, and even though I'm talking Mucinex, I'm not coughing up much - though I definitely though there's a lot in my lungs. Is it too early to tell if the anti-biotics are working? Because I only have one more pill left for tomorrow. If I go back to the doctor, what would they do?

  • Signs of EDNOS? (Eating Disorder not otherwise Specified)?

Over the past 1 1/2 years, I've been going through weird phases. I'll be on a constant diet, but then binge, feel bad, and then start over. I went running almost everyday, and did push-ups and abs. Over the last weekend, I ate so much, and felt bad for doing so. I've cut down eating again. For breakfast, I'll have a bowl of cheerios with soy-milk, and an apple for lunch. I'll have a small, healthy and low-calorie snack when I get home, then wait until dinner. But, I'm going to try to cut down even more. In August of 2009, I weight about 116. (I'm 5'4", by the way) and within the next few months, I dropped down to 102. Now, 2010, I'm about 105, and I want to drop down to 102, or 101. I don't really want to go any lower, because I'm scared I'd lose my period. I cant go running anymore because I get too tired from lack of eating. Instead, I continue to do abs, push-ups, and stretches. When I lie down, my hipbones stick out and my ribs partially do too. (not crazily though)

I REFUSE to gain any weight though. The thought of it... is absolutely disgusting. I feel like I have control, though. Like, that my eating habits aren't out of control. I can eat that piece of cheese pizza if I wanted to, but I just don't feel like it. I don't think I'm crazily overweight, but I don't think I'm skinny either. I'm just..average. My BMI at the moment is about 18.

I actually know A LOT about eating disorders, but I don't think I have one... could I? Yes, I'm that desperate to ask yahooanswers. haha. but please comment your thoughts, it's a confusing time, and your help would be great.

I'm a smart girl, but I'm aware what I'm doing. Am I just over-reacting, is it just a phase, or could it be something more?

    xXx thanks guys.

  • Would you classify this as self-harm?

Is scratching yourself (like chicken scratch) with a sharp tweezers, not enough to bleed, just enough to leave a mark for a while, self-harm?

Most people who self-harm usually burn themselves or cut deep enough to leave a scar and bleed.

  • Self Injury cuts/scratches?

What are some ways to hide scars and scratches on my wrist? I think bandages would make it even more obvious, so I was just going to use braclets. What kind of braclets would work? (livestrong rubber braclets, beaded braclets, etc.)

Also, my wrists are a little sore, so what would help...icing it? I heard that putting vaseline on the cuts would help them heal faster, is this true?

I honestly dont need the whole "get help" thing right now, I'm justing working on healing them.
