My credit score dropped?!?!?
Over the past few months I've really been trying to get my debit paid off and build my credit. Recently I paid off my student loan, and old credit card from when I was 18 ($300), a bill (my sister used my ssn), and an amount owed to my college not covered by student loans. I actually settled with the school for half of what I owed. I also got a credit card. There are 2 medical bills from about 10 years ago that I am now making payments on. That's it. That's all that was on the negative part of my credit report. 2 days ago I pulled up my report and my score was LOWER?!?! How did that happen? What did I do wrong? Can someone help me please? I've been saving my butt off and paying my debit off to buy a house....

5 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoMoms, can I have your advice on a gift idea?
My son gets therapy twice a week from 2 different therapists. They come to our home. Anyway, both of my children have become very attached to both of these ladies, and they both are just wonderful people. We wanted to get them something nice for Christmas, so I'm wondering if anyone had any ideas? Also around how much should we spend? Thank you so much for your help.
4 AnswersParenting1 decade agoHow do hypo-sensitivity and not speaking relate?
My son is 17 months old. Right now he is seeing an Occupational Therapist and a Developmental Therapist. He was not diagnosed with autism due to his age. He is going back in January to be reevaluated. So here is my question. Both therapist have told me they think Sam is "hypo-sensitive" to just about everything. Smell, sight, sound, touch and taste. We are hoping this is a Sensory issue and not Autism. He is still not speaking though. We don't even get babble. Sometimes he will make the "raspberry" sound or scream when he is excited or mad, but that is it. Are the two related? Or is the nonspeaking maybe something else? No one has given me a clear answer on this question. I was just wondering if anyone here had any additional information for me. Thank you.
Just wanted to let you know also that: Sam gives great eye contact and will interact with one person. Has a bit of social anxiety and will withdraw from crowds.

1 AnswerDesktops1 decade agoLow blood pressure and slow resting heart rate?
I have always had low (I thought it was just good) blood pressure usually around 90 over 50 or 55. My resting heart rate is usually 50-55. I've never really thought anything about it until a nurse brought it to my attention. She said "has anyone ever told you that you have a slow heart and low blood pressure?" Then she says "It's not a bad thing" ( I guess I must have had a deer in the headlight look). I wasn't really sure how to take it and didn't ask about what she meant... I thought I would leave that up to you guys :) If it helps any here is some info about me... I am 28, 5'7'', 130lbs, I take B6, D3, Calcium, A multi vitamin, Fish Oil, and I haven't eaten red meat or pork for 16 years. I exercise when I can (I have 2 kids) but I am very active.
So is this good or bad? Do I need to get my numbers higher? If so how do you do that? Thanks for your help in advance!!

4 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoHow to tell if my son is developing normal?
My son is 13 months old. At our 1 year visit the Dr. had advised me that he "should" be able to say 2 or 3 words, wave goodbye, shake his head yes/no, and clap. My son cannot do any of these. He doesn't walk yet either. He can cruise along the couch. The Dr. didn't act like any of this was a big deal... but I'm starting to worry. He is the second child, and I know that they say don't compare your kids to each other but my daughter did everything on time or early. We work with him every day. You can't get his attention held with anything. When you call his name sometimes he looks, but very rarely. I thought he was just being a boy always busy and on the go. Should I be worrying yet? Does anyone have advice or go thru the same thing? Thanks for the help. :)
5 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoIs it ok to take a break from potty training?
My daughter is 25 months. Last Thursday she wanted to pee on the potty. Friday and Saturday she did great. A few accidents, but most of the time she went #1 and #2 on the potty. The past 3 days she fights me even if I mention the word potty. I feel like we are both getting mad at each other for no reason. Should I stop and let her go only when she wants to until she gets a better understanding? Or should I just stick with it? I'm not completely sure she is ready. I need advice. Thank you so much for your help :)
5 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoCovering Lasagna in the oven?
Just a quick question. I'm trying a new lasagna recipe. At the end when it says to cover it... it said to double wrap it. I put Saran wrap down then covered it with foil. It's been in the oven now for 30 min. LOL I just started to think about it. I've only seen that kind of double wrapping with meats and veggies. Is it going to be ok in there? Did I do it right? Thank you!
7 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade ago2 year old won't keep her glasses on?
My daughter was recently diagnosed with being +6 farsightedness and had to get glasses. I let her help pick out the glasses. She loved them in the office... I'm guessing because at the time it was fun. Now she will not keep them on for anything! She tosses them across the room or screams when we make her put them on ( we haven't been mean about it... trying to keep an up beat attitude). It's only been a couple days. Is this going to get better? Should I get a head strap? Please help, Moms! Any advice is great. Thank you all.
7 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoI'm looking for a certain type of pacifier?
http://www.amazon.com/Gerber-Soft-Center-Pacifiers...
This is the type of pacifier. It's called a Gerber Soft Center Pacifier. The only problem is I need it in a bigger size. This is the only pacifier my son will take. We have 3 right now. The ones that we are using now are a size 2 or a 6-18m. I can't find them anywhere. The one in the picture is a newborn size and is way to small. I can't believe this... we just bought the bigger ones at Walmart not to long ago and now no one has them! Does anyone know where I can find them?

1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoI have a question about exercise and calories burned?
I bought a mini trampoline about a month ago and have been using it everyday. I count the number of jumps and watch the calorie counter. I usually jump about 3000 times, burn about 300-350 calories (or so I thought), and it takes me about 25-30 minutes. I Googled it today and every website I visited said that jumping for an hour would burn about 241 per hour. I'm totally confused. Who is right? Can anyone help me?
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness1 decade agoSong in 2007 or 2008?
I'm sorry I don't have a lot of information, but I am trying to download fun songs to workout to on my ipod... I can't think of this song? All I can't tell you is it was from 2007 or 2008, the guy had cornrows in his hair, the song was hip hop or r & b, and they played this song everywhere. It's not Sean Kingston. Sort of sounds like the music he sings... I think the guy may have been from Jamaica. The song has that island feel to it. It's killing me. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Please help.
3 AnswersOther - Music1 decade agoQuestion for Moms and Moms to be?
What do you all think of co-sleeping? I was just wondering if anyone still did it? I do. I love it. I know many people are against it, but it makes me feel closer to my babies, and it is so much easier to breastfeed at night. I love to feel my son all snugly beside me. I also love the thought of him being safe and warm. Not to mention I can hear him breathing so I don't have to keep getting up to check on him in the middle of the night. My hubby isn't crazy about it. He won't even get in the bed. Sam (my son) is 2 months old and I only plan to co-sleep with him until he is 3 months. That is what I did with our daughter. This is not a debate... so please no rude comments. Just wanted other Mommy's input on the idea of co-sleeping. Thanks.
