Waterborne polyurethane on wood and wax. Will it react?
I didn t know where to ask this so I came here.
I m building a wood table with melted crayons used for color decoration. Will using a waterborne polyurethane react badly with our damage the wax of the crayons or their color?
The instructions on the can say to remove any wax (along with dust, dirt, shavings etc) before applying but I m wondering if that s just a tip to clean the wood before use.
What would be a better finish to use?
5 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling2 years agoWhat denominations deny that people today can receive charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit?
I asked yesterday and didn't get a real answer, only opinions on the gifts.
I'm not asking for your personal beliefs (unless you also give me your denomination and others, then extra info would be great) but what denominations believe that the gifts of the holy spirit could only occur during biblical times, or perhaps even deny them completely.
Also, what denominations take them very seriously like the Pentacostals?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoAre there any Christian denominations that reject Charisms or Gifts of the Holy Spirit?
I know there is varied belief among denominations on this subject. The Catholic Church accepts that there are several "Charisms" that a person can be blessed with, while Pentacostals are famous for their belief that speaking in tongues is a sign of being saved. Are there denominations that reject that people can receive gifts like these...even if they only reject modern day occurrences?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality2 years agoWhich Christian denominations have an apocrypha section in the Bible but don't believe in it?
I've heard that some Bibles include an apocrypha/deuterocanonical section while others have it completely removed. Which denominations tend to use the ones that have it removed and which include it?

Is the color in the scales or the skin itself. Specifically a copperhead (if species matters)
1 AnswerReptiles4 years agodo agricultural engineers have a lot of hands on activity?
Or are there any other engineering fields that offer hands on experience.
2 AnswersEngineering5 years agoare there any hands on engineering careers?
Or are there any good hands on (or maybe blue collar) careers that a bachelor's degree in engineering will help you in. I'm looking at agricultural engineering or just general mechanical engineering technology/manufacturing, but I'm curious about nearly any engineering field that lets you work with your hands (and I don't just mean paperwork and computer time).

4 AnswersCountry6 years agoif the Jews didn t believe in the after life why did they pray for the dead?
People often say that the afterlife wasn't revealed to those in the old testament. If this is true when and why did the prayer Kaddish come about. Did Jews always believe in the afterlife? If not why would they start believing after Jesus, who they claim is not the messiah/son of God, preached the afterlife
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoare all 613 laws of Moses issued by God or just the first Ten commandments?

10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agowhats the deal with 1 John 5:7-8?
" For there are three that testify, the Spirit and the water and the blood, and these three are in agreement." NET Bible
Something pretty similar to this is also in the KJV and NAB
but my question is: How is it sometimes translated to the "Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost"
The footnotes in my New American Bible say that the water is Christ's baptism and the blood is his crucifixion and the spirit is holy spirit who witnessed both. It describes the trinity by saying that it is to deny God's truth if u deny that Christ is the Son of God
What bible version says the father word and holy spirit
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agowhat s the authenticity of this Buddha quote?
http://bibleprobe.com/buddhatoldofjesus.htm
I read that Buddha said that a Holy One would come and he would have marks on his side (spear wound) head (wounds from crown of thorns) and hands and feet (nail wounds). This Holy One would deliver us to nirvana /heaven
I know its not a quote but its summarized from what I found in the link
I couldn't find much more than the article on bible probe. Do u think its a real quote?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoif the catholic church really did just invent the trinity?
Why would they do this. What would be the point of worshipping Jesus if he never said to worship him. What would be the point of making him God if he wasn't
I believe in the trinity and this question is obviously focused to those who follow Christ but don't believe in the trinity. Tho I'd appreciate answers from everyone
Thanks
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoi was watching the DaVinci Code and i have questions?
I wasn't paying much attention cuz I was doing homework and watching it at the same time but
1. Why did they lie about Christ's divinity in the first place?
2. What exactly was the Da Vinci code besides the notes left by his paintings in the museum and the thing with the last supper
3. Also, I hear the book and movie were filled with historical inaccuracies. Could you name a few?
I know I could just watch it again probably but I don't want to but that's what Yahoo is for

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoTo those christians that believe the Eucharist is just a symbol?
What does communion/eucharist symbolize?
I've often heard that its jst a symbol cuz if it is real then it would be cannibalism. But does it symbolize cannibalism then? We Catholics don't believe it becomes meaty human flesh, but instead just as Christ was fully man and fully God, the Eucharist is fully bread and wine and fully God, making it the body of Christ.
so what does it symbolize?
