im a subaru guy. i know subarus pretty well. however my 06 outback XT has a knock. so im considering a EJ253 or a EZ30D swap vs the EJ255 rebuild. time, money and mileage are the major determining factors. i know about NASIOC and ebay. im looking for some other places to find a motor.

my grandpa gave me a family harloom, a 1971 Honda Trail 90, after it sat in a shed for a good 30 years. i have got most everything in tip top shape except for the polished aluminum has become lightly tarnished. and because i am a perfectionist, i want the aluminum to look brand new.

is this something i would have to send to a shop for? or can use the electrochemical dip bath? and if so what kind of results am i looking at? and how much would this cost? i have a lot of time but not a lot of money, so i don't mind disassembling the bike and i have other transport, so i don't need it done in a hurry. but i would like it to look perfect.

my fiance and i are big fans of the tv show "bones" and in the 4th season i cant help but notice how offen they have a plugs for toyota.

in one episode emily deschanel talks about how great the GPS in highlander is,

in another one they go to a car dealer and the sales girl starts talking about the great gas milage and safety of the sequoia.

then in the episode where they try to solve the murder at the funeral they are hauling the body out and dr seroin mentions how the toyota matrix has plenty of room in it.

and also one more is when bones and booth are driving the prius bones talks about the "adaptive cruse control"

why? is toyota paying them to do that? or are the producers just big toyota fans?

im looking to get a Subaru boxer diesel with the VGT turbo and ECU and preferably the Six speed manual that was released in Europe a couple years ago. however i cant seem to find a place to import it.

does anyone know of a person/place that can import one? or will i have to wait till later this year to get a US-spec EE?

my fiance and i are planning to move to her home town in alaska. she told me they only have emissions and that sounds a little off to me. emissions but no safety? really? and if it is only emissions, does the emissions have any inspection involving the safety? such as brakes, tread depth, lights etc.

i have asked this question a few times but no one answers it. internet explore and mozilla fire fox wont download any videos it always saves them as .php file.i have tried to change the action for the plug ins and i reinstalled windows recently would that make a difference? could it be some kind of driver? what is a php? i hate/have winblows (vista), i wish i would have bought a mac, but im stuck with a dell, so can i install Linux on my 'puter? if so what version? its a dell inspiron 1521 w/ the web cam. i'm a big media junkie so preferably one with lots of video, audio, image capabilities on it. also where i could find the drivers to make the network card, web cam, mouse pad etc. work? thanks for the help.

i want to reinstall winblows vista operating system but i am worried i will loose my 20 some-odd Gigs of purchased Itunes media (mostly the British TV show, Top Gear) and i don't think you can burn your TV show purchases to CD/DVD. can anyone shed some light on this?
