  • Why are my hands always so cold?

Well, it's not just my hands. My feet are also cold, like always, and also in some other places.

It's not like I feel cold.. I hardly ever feel the cold, unlike the rest of my family which seem to get colder much easier. Yet they always complain to me that my hands and feet are freezing, when I put them on their skin.

I seem to have had this coldness for as long as I can remember (and I'm 13, at the moment.) What is the reason for this? Poor circulation, maybe? Or is it just an age thing? I hope it's nothing bad because it doesn't sound bad to me.

  • What do I have to write to answer these two questions, in Spanish?

So what would I write, in reply, for this (in Spanish.)

    -Que tienes en tu mochila?

(Not listing the items.. just saying how I start the answer.)

    -Que hay en tu clase?

(Same with this one.. just how I start it.)

    Thanks!

  • Any suggestions on what I can add to make my cage into a natural-looking habitat, for my rats?

I have decided that I want to completely change my rat cage's layout. I'm in no rush of making it, so I have time to plan. I have a basic idea of what I want to do, but I need more/different ideas. Though I only thought of this a few days ago, so I still can easily change my mind.

I should tell you what cage I have first, so you can understand what things can fit in it.

The cage is a "Savic Suite Royale (Double)", which is basically the same as the Critter nation, followed by the Ferret nation:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Savic-Suite-Royale-Small-A...

In the picture it is shown with a second level, but what I'm planning to do is take out that level so there's a huge open space for more opportunities to add stuff.

Some things I want to add, though it may not be possible:

    - Huge branch(es) which reach right to the top of the cage

    - Pieces of rope, with fairly natural colours on them.

    - Wooden shelves (or plastic shelves with bedding in them)

    - Wooden houses, rocks. Basically anything natural which can go on the ground.

    - Vines (fake ones, possibly?)

And more.. but they're the only ones I can think of this moment in time.

I also want to make sure it's safe with what I add. So is there anything I should keep away from, which I may be thinking of adding? I'm a bit worried about having proper branches.. if not I can find something similar looking to it.

Basically I'm asking you to help me with anything I can do to this cage, to make it more natural. I don't mind things which aren't really natural, as long as the colour is like a brown or green. Any links will help - anything will do really. I just need suggestions.

I think I have already got what bedding I want, here:

    http://www.finacard-uk.com/index.php?main_page=ind...

Since it is quite cheap and is a safer option to having wood in their, because of respiratory infections and all that.

  • I need help with a maths question, for homework?

If you plotted a graph (with axis) which one would have a steeper line, and WHY?

    y= 3x + 5

    or

    y= 6x + 1

    S

I could just work it out by a graph, but I'm sure you're not meant to do that. Even if you didn't give the answer, is there a way to work it out without plotting it on a graph? Because I haven't learnt to yet.

  • Anyone got any good pets avaliable in the UK?

I'm not planning on getting any pets soon, I don't think. But I really want to know of any pets which I could get in the future. I have two rats, lots of fish, a cat and I did have a hamster, but he died yesterday. He was such a cute little boy.

    Just a few things:

    - I'm looking for more caged or tank animals (like ferrets, gerbils, lizards)

    - I don't want to have to feed them anything live (like crickets)

    - I have a 'fear' of animals with more than 4 legs (which is really annoying. But I think I may want to get one with more than 4 legs, like a spider, to overcome my fear. Because I find them amazing

    - They can't cost too much money (in genereal, with the cage, etc..)

So anyone got any pets which could be good for me?

    Thanks!

  • Will refreshing a YouTube video give it an extra view each time?

Since One Direction's new music video came out, all the fans of One Direction are trying to beat Justin Bieber's music video which won the highest number of views, in 24 hrs, on a Vevo video, or something like that (he got about 11 million I think.) I know most of you probably don't care about this, but people keep saying in the comments of the song that they need to keep refreshing the video to get more views.

However, I didn't think you could do this. You might be able to have one view, but then don't people get money from the views? So people might just make another account and refresh it loads of times to get money?

There's no point in them wasting their time refreshing a video, especially if it doesn't change anything.

  • Why do you get goosebumps & when?

I'm just wondering, because today I was on YouTube listening (and reading) a quite emotional song. As well I get it because I'm cold, but I think everyone knows you get them when your cold. I also sometimes get them when I'm happy? I need an explanation for why I get it when I'm listening to an emotional song, but also when I'm happy.

(Sorry if this is in the wrong category!)

  • Why do you think I still feel dizzy after three days?

So I've been feeling dizzy. Well it's like a vertigo feeling. It's not that bad in the morning; I just keep being a bit dizzy or not dizzy at all, but when it comes to night time I constantly feel like I'm on a boat with the waves not so much that it's spinning. I haven't changed my diet in anyway and have made sure I've had plenty of water. I think it might be because I'm just tired or an ear infection but I'm not entirely sure. I've felt a bit sick but not the sort of sick where I feel I'm going to be sick... like car sickness, if you've had that before? Though I do not feel any of that at the moment. Oh and I'm 13 if you're wondering.

Does it seem like anything bad and how long do you think it'll last for?

I think I'm going to go to bed once it's become 2013 because that's the only way I can get away from this horrible dizziness.

  • Nintendo Wii Game Suggestions?

Hopefully going to be getting a Nintendo Wii soon, so I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what I could get? If I buy the one I'm looking at, I will get a few games free with it such as Wii Fit Plus and Wii Sports resort; plus a Balance Board and other things.

I've had a Wii before, but can't remember any of the games really, that I had.

    It's shared with the family.

  • Can rats and hamsters eat honey?

I have this stick covered with seeds and all that (bought from the shop,) but I want to cover it with a thin layer of honey. I don't know if it's alright for them, since I've never tried giving them honey before.

So can rats and/or hamsters have it? I won't give them too much because I know it's sugary.

  • Where can I buy some rat cage (floor) fleeces, in the UK, online?

I just don't know where to look, really.

I'm getting my two rats a new cage for Christmas, so I want to get some new material as it is nice to keep it fresh and because the old ones are getting destroyed.

I don't want anything fancy, just either of these three colours - creme, black or brown. I don't want it to be too thick, yet I don't want it to be too thin. I also, of course, want it to be as cheap as possible.

So does anyone know any shops which sell material, or do you have any links to an actual specific material? Thanks.

  • I really don't want to go swimming at school?

So I am moving on to swimming at school and I really don't want to do it. The reason why is because I am 13 and I still hardly can swim at all - the only stroke I can do is a breast stroke and I can only do that for a length if I really try hard enough. (Don't know how many meters that is, but about an average swimming pool length probably.) I can only do that if I kick my back legs, like doggy paddle, instead of doing.. what is it called? Froggy leg swim thing.

The reason why I'm not that good is because where I previously lived hardly anyone went swimming and we didn't do it at school. But when my family moved nearer to the sea loads of people did it, so I felt I needed to learn it too. Although at that point I was already later than most people at it and my parents didn't really have the time to take me. Eventually, about a year ago I started to learn properly. I was quite scared of going underwater because I didn't know how I would hold my breath, but a bigger one is because whenever I did get water in my ears I always felt really dizzy after. But then I faced my little fear and then on the same day I was able to go underwater for quite a long time. I continued going swimming once every week for about 7 weeks and I could swim to the bottom of the pool, swim a length quite well and I easily learned to do backstroke for some reason.

I wanted to continue doing swimming, but then we got really low on money and couldn't afford to go swimming. Also both of my parents were working 5+ days a week now. So I didn't go for ages. I recently went back to swimming and I had lost my ability to swim by quite a bit.

I went swimming, at school, last year but everyone was better than me and I felt the pressure to go quicker when everyone else was doing the widths. Which made me often run out of breath or end up choking in the water. I was a pretty good swimmer underwater at that point. But I wasn't able to (and still can't) go in and out of the water. I can only stay under, or stay out; if not I end up swallowing a load of water. The lessons didn't help me at all - they just made me feel weaker in swimming because everyone was racing ahead of me.

It's not that I dislike swimming, I love swimming and water. I would love to be good at swimming (especially underwater) but this school swimming in no way is improving me. What should I do? I much prefer to learn swimming by myself so I really just want to skip doing swimming in PE. Well what I want to do is skip this years swimming, hopefully learn how to swim by next year's lessons. But that all depends on how my parents are doing with the money. I don't want to waste money just so I feel better.

I know I shouldn't really do this, but has anyone got any excuses for not swimming? Or a way in which I can tell my teacher I don't want to do it.

  • Does this french sentence make sense? (Please- need quick!)?

I'm not the best at french and for some reason I have a feeling that this sentence is wrong. I think it's something to do with the 'aller'. It might not make any sense at all. If so, I've failed:

Dans le centre de loisirs on peut aller à la piscine et aller au café.

    It's meant to mean:

"In the leisure/sports centre one/they can go swimming and go to the café.

  • Questions about this rat / ferret / chinchilla cage?

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Savic-Suite-Royale-Small-A...

So I'm hoping to get this cage (above) but I want to get it at it's cheapest price. It's basically the same as the american Critter Nation cage, but for people in the UK. I have a few questions on it:

    1) Do you know where I could get this cage (in the UK) for a cheap price, online?

    2) If you have this cage or the Critter nation cage, would you please tell me about it (like the pros and the cons of it) and especially if you think it was worth the money.

    3) What is the maximum amount of rats which should be in this cage? This is just out of interest, as I have two rats and I know it is suitable for two.

  • Is AVS Video Editor safe to use, and another question?

So I want to edit some videos to put on youtube, but I only have the Windows Movie Maker 2.6 and so I want something better and more new. This is my other question: I've been trying to download Windows Live Movie Maker off the original site but when I download it, it doesn't work and I don't get it on my computer. I have all (or most) of the other Windows Essentials which come with it, though. That's the one I really want, but I don't know how to get it without getting viruses.

Onto the AVS Video Editor. I decided that I might as well download this instead but I wanted to know if it was safe because I don't want it to cause any viruses. Please answer as quick as possible?

    Thanks!

  • Questions on making a natural hamster habitat, for their safety?

I'm getting my dwarf hamster cage tomorrow. Well, it's going to be a homemade bin cage so I'll be getting what I need to make that. But I really want it to look as natural as possible. This is my plan, but I want to make sure that there's nothing which might harm my hamster, then I have some questions:

    - The bedding will be aspen shavings with a tiny bit of straw / hay scatter over it.

    - I will be adding wooden tunnels, wooden.. hmm.. well basically anything wooden which looks nice and natural for the hamster. These will be from the pet store.

    - I might be adding a few small levels (got a question about this)

    - I will scatter feed them in the cage, so that it's more natural to them

(Above) is my first cage, but later on I'm hoping to add another smaller one which is attached to the first one with a small tunnel to go through it. This one will have:

    - The bedding will basically be a thick layer of sand (questions about this)

    - It will have rocks on top of it (although I'm worried my hamster will bury underneath the rock and end up dropping the rock on themselves. Question on this too.)

So now onto the questions, based on what I've just said:

    1. I really want to add some reptile stuff to the cage, as I've seen loads of natural things from them. Are they safe for my hamsters, or which are safe?

    2. About the levels, what should I make it out of? It's not going to be too high off the ground. Could I use popsicle sticks, maybe? Or do you recommend anything else?

    3. Will the food get dirty if I scatter feed? (It will be the main mix; the dry stuff, not any of the - forgot the word - like the fresh fruit and vegetables.

    4. Can I use sand for dwarf hamsters (winter whites, to be exact.) Is it safe for them. Or which are the safe types? I was thinking of play sand. You know, the stuff which children have. As well as that, is there anything I need to do to the sand to make it safe?

    5. About what was said on the rock bit, basically how can I prevent that from happening?

    Thanks!

  • Question about the Shunamite Rat diet?

So I'm going to start giving my rats the Shunamite diet, but I don't know what volumes I should use for two 23 week old female rats. Any ideas? I'll give you the link which tells you about the diet, if you don't already know about it:

  • Random questions about hamsters, I want to ask?

So I'm getting a hamster in October, or around then. I have researched a lot about them, but still have some questions that I want to ask to make sure my hamster(s) will have a nice life!

Ok, so I should say that I'm going to be getting a Winter White Russian Dwarf Hamster. I know they look similar to Campbells, but I've found some ways of telling the difference.

    Questions:

    1) How many hamsters do I need to get, if I'm gettinthat type? (I will get either one or two, depending on what is needed. But in the questions I will just say 'hamster' for now, because that's what my parents prefer me to get - just one.)

    2) I wish to give my hamster a sand bath, but do you have to use properly made sand stuff, or can you literally just go to a beach and get some. Or does that contain too much dust / something else? (This might sound like a stupid question, sorry!)

    3) I am going to be making a homemade bin cage. Do you think this is an ok size for a hamster?

    http://www.staples.co.uk/office-supplies/storage-a...

    4) Any cheap accessories I can buy, on the internet, in the UK?

    5) I am probably going to be getting my hamster from Pets at Home. I've never been there before, so I've never bought anything from there. But are the accessories there pricey? And if you've got your hamster from there, did they seem fairly healthy?

    6) What is the minimum size wheel for the type hamster I'm getting? I'm currently thinking of getting a 6.5"

    7) What food is recommended for hamsters, in the UK?

    8) Dwarf hamsters are prone to diabetes, right? So I want to give them treats, but I want them to be as sugar free as possible - any suggestions? (Food in the UK, again.)

  • I want to know lots about Betta Fish?

Literally just now I've thought of getting a Betta Fish, so I need to know everything about them! I probably won't get them for ages since I'm getting a hamster soon, but that means I have lots of time to research about them. They seem quite common, so they must be great pets!

  • Does the Cervical Cancer jab hurt?

Just wondering, because I'm having it tomorrow.

Out of 10, how much does it hurt, and what could you relate the feeling to?

Also do they put a plaster on you after? I'm more scared of plasters than needles, as you have to rip them off at some point and that hurts...

And which hurts more, ripping off a plaster suddenly or being jabbed?
