  • How much does grades drop from 10th to 11th grade?

So this is for of course high school; just wondering; would like to take "samples" from people all over the country. As for now, my school (class size 510)'s top 10% is a 98+, but of course I am a junior. I just want to know how much this 98 will drop (no doubt it will) and whether it will hit 95s. Of course my school is different from your's; I just want an approximation:

CNA (cumulative numeric average) ONLY! I don't want GPA cause my school doesn't calculate grades by that. THANKS!!!!

  • Suspension in high school affect college?

So I am ranked in the top 10%, 2100+ SAT, and have everything an average top 10% person may have. However, unfortunately, during 9th grade I punches this (very annoying) guy in the nose and got 5 days OSS. So yeah, I'm not trying to apply to Harvard or any ivy league schools (or even schools in the top 20), and I'm just trying to get to Georgia Tech or UGA or maybe Emory (I'm from GA :D ) Do you think my chances will be very negatively impacted? If so, any ideas how to get the counselors to 'repeal' this permanent record? Cause I don't want all my hard work to go wasted, just through one rash action back in 9th grade.

  • Physics Ferris Wheel?

A Ferris wheel with a radius of 8.9 m rotates at a constant rate, completing one revolution every 42 s.

    (a) Find the direction and magnitude of a passenger's acceleration when at the top of the Ferris wheel.

    (b) Find the direction and magnitude of a passenger's acceleration when at the bottom of the Ferris wheel.

I will reward those who answer well ;D thanks so much!

  • Can I get my chess rating over 2000?

I'm currently rated 1214; however, I have not played in like 3-4 years, (so I'm probably currently not that good). I was inspired by some friends and decided to turn back to chess; I'm currently 16 years old. I want to know if it is still possible for me to get over 2000. I however cannot persuade my parents to give me formal training; so I'm all on my own! Thanks for the help :D

  • computer vision programming help?

    Hey,

I know what computer vision is, but unfortunately, I don't have the skill to program anything beyond basic scripts. So starting from nothing, how long would it take me to have a basic understand of computer vision and program it? Assume I am a fairly fast learner and study about 1-2 hours a day. Just give an approx. estimate. But remember, I just want to have a basic understanding. I know going deep will take years.

    thanks guys

  • science fair-computer science help plz?

hello, got interested in the science fair and I want to go big on it this year.

So i decided to study the AI in the game Bmtron: its strengthens, its flaws, and how to improve. It could be used on more advanced (and useful) applications like drones, and other robotics

however, my friend (and I somewhat agree) thinks doing research on a game is pretty stupid. My purpose is to study the A.I and not the game, but idk if the judges would think that way. what do you guys think? thanks for helping

  • RAM vs. CPU gaming computer?

I want to buy a gaming computer (cause i got interested in playing games recently)..

    what I found was a

    ASUS CM6870-US-3AB Desktop PC - 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3770 3.4GHz, 16GB DDR3, 2TB HDD, DVDRW, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

so i've read and heard that RAM is more important; however, do I really need 16 GB of RAM or should I go for a computer with better processors?

The computer is about $900 after tax and it has a 4.0+ rating.

    here's the website I used: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTool...

    thanks so much guys!!!
