As someone who has been depressed and self harmed since 14 I really don't get it.

I love Gerard Way as much as the next emo girl but he didn't save my life. The doctor who cleaned and stitched my wrist saved my life.

I am bored and lonely and I want to meet new people who think I'm cool and show me attention.

I was an emo kid in the mid 2000s.. We had bands like From Autumn To Ashes, Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Thrice, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Pierce The Veil. Three Days Grace, Panic At The Disco, all that good stuff

There wasn't exactly music with screaming emotional lyrics about self harm and suicidal ideation and being dumped accompanied by power chords and blasting drums created by recovering alcoholics/addicts with dark hair and countless tattoos.

I need help I don't have anyone who cares about me and I'm really hurting I made myself a promise I wouldn't hurt myself anymore but idk what b to do right now :(

I'm 21 and I want to turn my life around and start making something of myself. I'm more interested in medicine than anything else. I know as of now it's a stretch for me but the idea of having the expert life saving knowledge of a doctor is such a thrill. I don't go to school or anything so I don't know where to begin. I think I want to study veterinary medicine because I get along a lot better with animals.

Men are so cute! They're big and strong and have sexy voices and scruffy faces :) sex with them feels magical <3 how could something as lovely as my attraction to men be a sin? They're all I think about! I just don't really think girls are that sexy :/

I'm miserable in my relationship. There's so many double standards and my spouse has anger issues that they don't address as well as they should. She will hit me for doing things that she would hit me back if i hit her for. It's like they're rubber and I'm glue, always criticizes me but won't listen to anything I say.

She calls me names when I make her mad, she threatens to kick me out, she throws and punches stuff and she makes accusations. I always ask her to speak calmly and productively but that makes her more angry. Instead of listening she just gets angrier!

What can I do?? I never had a relationship before but I feel like what we have is true love. I want this to stop.
