  • If I change all 4 wheels/tires from another car of the same make/model does the tpms have to be re-programmed?

I am purchasing a used car from a dealer and as part of my offer I wanted the wheels off the exact same year/make/model/trim vehicle (rims had no road rash compared to wheels on the one I wanted) on the lot. I eventually got what I wanted, but they tried telling me that it was not going to be worth the money it would cost to have them all reprogrammed. They said they wouldn't be able to do it at their service shop (which is a bunch of BS.) Anyways, my question is if they actually would have to reprogram the tpms because it is a different car?

  • How are the taxes and other fees arranged when I am a WI resident buying a car from a IL dealer?

I am looking at buying a car in Illinois from a dealer. I am a Wisconsin resident. I know I would pay the regisration fees for WI since that is where I live, but as far as taxes go, would I be paying them in WI or IL? I would be financing the car so the taxes would most likely be thrown into the loan. If they are taxes paid to WI can a dealer in IL put the tax in the loan?

  • has anyone used cellswapper to get out of a contract?

Just curious if anyone used cellswapper.com to have someone else take over your contract and if so, how long did it take before someone took over, how easy was the process and how much did it cost to transfer?

  • When using a pipe thread compound/paste can you use plumber's tape in addition to it?

I have put a new drain valve with plumber's tape into my water heater, but I am still getting some water seapage through the threads. I took it off, rewrapped it (yes I wrapped it the correct way) and there is still a bit of leakage, so I decided to pick up some pipe thread compound and try that out. It says it bonds to metal, pvc, cpvc, abs, polypropylene, and nylon. I am just curious if I can wrap the threads in teflon tape and then put the compound on that to get the best of both worlds. Thanks

  • When you get a tattoo covered up with another tattoo do you have to have it removed first?

I have a bunch of tattoos, but have never had one covered up before. I have a colored tattoo that I want to have covered with a black/grey tattoo, a complete different design, probably something that is going to be the start of a sleeve cap so it won't be small. So do I need to have the original colored tattoo laser removed or anything first?

  • Tips for taking drain valve off water heater?

I'm taking my drain valve off my water heater and using an adjustable wrench. The valve is metal and it won't budge. I am getting a tight lock on the valve so the wrench isn't sliding or moving at all, and I am putting my body weight into this thing to the point where I am moving the water heater. I put my foot on the side of the water heater so it won't move anymore, but the drain valve won't budge. Any ideas?

  • If I am going to drain my water heater do I need to about the relief valve?

I have a leak in my drain valve which I want to replace. I turned off the water supply and gas. I attached a garden hose to the drain valve and now water is basically trickling out. Am I supposed to open the relief valve? Will that let the water come out faster or am I just supposed to leave that alone?

  • Are banks required to report to the credit bureau?

My wife and I are looking at buying a new construction home. The builder recommended a mortgage company to go through. We applied to see how much we would be approved for and when they got back to us they said when have no history of making mortgage payments. We have owned our house for 2 1/2 years. I have good credit and my wife has below average credit. I would think her credit score would be a lot better had all of these payments been reported. So, are banks required to do this? Will they be able to report the past 2 1/2 years of payments? If so, will our scores jump up right away? We have made all on time payments. Thanks.

  • Why does Xbox 360 have a 4gb and ps3 has a 160gb?

I was just at Wal-mart and saw Xbox 360's cheapest system is a 4gb and PS3's is a a 160gb. I was wondering why there was so much of a difference. I would just be playing UFC 2010, NHL 11, and Black Ops and playing online. I wouldn't be downloading games or videos. Would I really need 160gb? Would 4gb too little? I guess I really don't know how much space is used. Thanks.

  • What type of welder would I need to cut and weld a motorcyle frame?

I just bought a Kawasaki KZ650 and am going to make it into a bobber over the winter. The frame has horizontal bars that hold the seat, which makes it sit too high. I want to cut and weld these a little bit lower and more of an angle to make it more of a traditional bobber. I also am going to cut part of the frame that is over the rear fender and also attaches to the passenger portion of the seat. I have welded before (not much and a long time ago) and this is a learning project for me. Anyways, I did some research and found that arc welding would be the best, but I am trying to keep the costs down and just wanted to see if there was anything else I could do. Thanks
