Is my recruiter lying to me?
Basically, I went to meps with the air force, but I got disqualified for my eyes, meaning I need a waiver. I'm not sure I want to join the air force anymore because the type of jobs I was interested in will likely be unavailable to me even if the waiver is approved. so I told my recruiter I would like to keep my options open and see what other branches have to offer. Each branch has their own waiver system, so getting denied from one branch doesn't mean I will be denied by another. After talking to the army, I decided that the army would be my first choice. so the recruiter pulled my records and submitted the waiver. the air force recruiter called to ask me if I still wanted to submit a waiver. He said that I have to commit to the air force and not et anyone else pull my records, or else the waiver process would stop. the army has already pulled my records though, so I'm not sure if the recruiter is being honest with me. I understand that he doesn't want to waste time going through a waiver process if I just join another branch, but will my waiver stop just because the army is processing a waiver?
I think I have included all the relevant information, but if anyone needs more to help me out, just let me know
3 AnswersMilitary4 years agoHow do I sue a small business that stole from me?
the basics are this: I sign up for an emt training course through a company called Link 2 Life. The course was $1300. I received an email saying the course was canceled and I would receive a refund. However, they are not responding to calls or emails and I still don't have my $1300. how do I proceed with legal action?

2 AnswersLanguages8 years agoRelationship advice for me?
i am a high school senior graduating friday next week. the girl i like isnt graduating till the end of the school year. basically, im positive she would say yes if i asked her out. but, i dont know if i should. from talking to her, we have 2 completely different plans. she is going to college, and she wants to study abroad. im going to start off life guarding on camp pendleton, then be a krav maga instructor. i dont think i would really get to spend a lot of time with her, especially if she is studying abroad. so, is it worth asking her out, knowing that it will probably end when she goes to college? or should i just not bother?

5 AnswersMilitary8 years agomost difficult military job?
i know that there are several factors that come into play, so lets divide this into mentally tough and physically tough. i scored a 90 on the asvab, so i can do just about any job, but i want something challenging.
3 AnswersMilitary8 years agoImportant life decision...?
first a little backround info-- i am 17 and am graduating high school january 18. i have braces that are scheduled to be on for about another year. i am a level 2 krav maga practitioner (its an israeli martial art) and live with my mom who is a staff seargent in the marines. i am trying to decide between the military or being a krav maga instructor.
-military option--- i would join the marines with the intention of getting to MarSoc. i took the asvab and scored a 90 2 days ago. my plan would be to go in enlisted, and if i decide to stay in the marines for the full 20 years, i would use the officer commisioning program to become an officer.all in all, this would give me good benefits, good pay, a steady income, lots of training, and lots of influence.
Krav instructor--- my instructors have offered to send me to instructor school. the next one is january 19. if i pass, i will begin working for my instructors with a starting pay of 20/hour. depending on when i will be able to get to the next level of instructor, i could be a level 3 instructor by the end of june or july. at that point i would be getting paid 30/hour. i would also owe my instructors about 6000 for the school. (it costs my instructors 2000 each time they send me to instructor school). as a level 3 instructor, i would be able to work about 20, maybe as much as 30 hours per week. that means i should be done paying the instructors in 2.5 to 3 months. after that, i will be making somewhere around 600 a week. that only comes out to being a little more than 30k a year. it is more than i would make in the military, but the military also provides housing, food, medical insurance, etc. my mom would probably let me continue to live with her until i become a higher level instructor and get paid more.
i dont know which option to go with. i love krav maga, and i love helping people learn. on the other hand, ive wanted to be a marine all my life. technically, i could do both, but doing one would delay progress in the other. any advice?
**please dont comment if you arent going to be helpful.
1 AnswerMilitary8 years agoMarine Corps enlisting?
so i have already been talking with the recruiter. she had me take a practice asvab and i got a 96. i want to do something infantry related (like recon), but i have a feeling my intelligence would be wasted. my end goal is to get into marsoc. that being said, does anyone have some recomendations on a ruote to take?
please, do not say anything about me not being able to make it or that i should focus on boot camp first. im in good physical condition and im improving too.

Hunting9 years agominors and contracts in california?
so i bought a couple magazine subscriptions with a gift card under the impression i could cancel at any time. the company (general subscription services) called when a second payment didnt go through. so i asked to cancel the subscription and they said no, that it was a contract. they have a recording of me agreeing to pay. however, also on the recording, they asked me if my birthdate was 1994, and i said yes thinking they said 1995 (the person was talking really fast and i had a hard time understanding). so i am 17, a legal minor in california. today i got a call from total customer service inc. they said they could make me pay it or make my mom pay it. i refused tto give them my mom's info. i said i was not at liberty to do so. they said they would get that info on their own. my mom has a different last name, and i did not use any of her info for the magazines. can they make me or her pay this legally?

3 AnswersSingles & Dating9 years agohelp with a fitness program?
I am 17 and plan on joining the military. i havent decided which branch i want to join yet, but i know i want to do special operations. I am about 6 foot tall and 150 lbs. i want to gain muscle. the muscle i do have is well toned, but i need more of it. i also need to work on cardio. i can run a mile in 6:30, but that is about as fast as i have ever done it, and i cant keep up this pace for more than a mile. I currently practice krav maga (an israeli martial art) and we do lots of crossfit workouts. i also have a weightlifting class at school, but i dont have a program in place, so im not improving very much. i would like to gain 20 to 30 lbs in muscle over the next 12 to 18 months. thanks for the help
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness9 years agoXbox 360 help? Disk tray issues?
ok, so here is the deal:
1. my xbox tray will not stay closed. it will close when i push the button, but will open again right away.
2. i have tried to manually close it, then i couldnt get it to stay open. it seems that it continually registers as constantly opening or closing. it continues to say "opening/closing" and does not stop to say reading disk or no disk. can i fix this on my own? or do i have to send it in. i really dont want to send it in if i dont have too.
2 AnswersXbox9 years agoDissapearance of bees?
a lot of these issues are contributed to systemic pesticides. but how do they effect the bees? i dont know for sure, but i think the queen bee is the one responsible for creating antibodies that are in new born bees. these antibodies protect a bee the same way our imune system protects us. i think these systemics get into the food supply of the bees, and they destroy the bees' ability to adapt to new diseases and prevent the old one. i dont think queens can make the antibodies anymore. at least not the ones with colony collapse disorder. is this a plausible assumption/idea?
2 AnswersZoology9 years agowhat is a realistic timeframe for becoming a Delta Force operator?
Let's start off with saying i dont care if you think i can make it. my question is, assuming that i go in with an 18x contract, i would have advanced elistment of e-3 due to education, and assuming i was above average green beret. how long would it be till i am eligible for delta? would a 6 year contract offer the opportunity to try out for delta before the contract is up?
3 AnswersMilitary9 years agoKrav Maga instructor or military?
i am 17 and have braces. my braces should be off in 12 - 15 months. i cant join the military until then. in about 4 months, i will be going to instructor school to be certified as a level 1 instructor. then level 2 instructor 6-8 weeks after that. each time i go to instructor school, it costs about 2000. my instructors pay for it, then i pay them back through instructing with them. level 1 instructors get paid 20 an hour, level 2 get paid 25 an hour. so after my second instructor course, i will pay back my teachers and then shortly after i will get my braces off. at this point, i could continue as an instructor, or go into the military. if i join the military, i want to join the army and become a green beret. either way, if i choose one, i cant really have the other. instructors are paid well, have flexible schedules, and are an elite group all their own. the military has less pay, more benefits, rigid schedules(plus deployments), but also have their elite groups. based on this info, which would you choose and why?
