2 AnswersGarden & Landscape4 years agoWhat flowering plant is this?
Obviously a bulb flower. Has big white flowers that like, widen out at the top from a thick stem. Leaves kinda look like tiger lily leaves. After the flowers die, huge, hard, and heavy like bulbs or pods form where the flowers were. See image link below. Thank you!

3 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoGay Marriage from the perspective of ethical theories?
Essay. I'm going to pick 3 ethical theories. (Like moral objectivism, ethical relativism, subjectivism, etc) What 3 ethical theories would/could be clearly applied to gay marriage? Please, this is not asking opinions of gay marriage. I am asking what ethical theories could be applied to it; both opposing and supporting. Someone with a sociological, philosophical, and ethical background would be appreciated. Thank you!
1 AnswerSociology8 years agoIs this sentence gramatically correct?
"I was so excited I could barely breathe; although, I had not expected what a powerful learning experience it would be." This is transitional, right? Although, like "however," is a transitional conjunction and requires a semicolon. Am I incorrect?

House plant. Grows from thick woody base. Leaves are very hairy, and the stems are reddish pink. It's possibly tropical, a houseplant. Here is a link to a poor picture, any help would be appreciated. Thank you

7 AnswersDesktops1 decade agoproblems making candles at home?
Ok, I have 3 wax molds with holes in the bottom for the wick. (Cut myself on the edges several times, but that's besides the point.) I don't use the wick hole, I just use it to center the tab and use popsickle sticks to center it at the top. I place it in the freezer or cold water after it's considerably hard, in order to slide it out. But the wax cracks after it's completely hardened, and the wick slides and moves inside the candle. Also, when I make jar candles, I never get a flat top. I fill them half way, and wait for it to harden, then fill it a little more ETC. But by the time I'm done, it still sinks in the center pulling the wick down. Can someone please help me? I wait till the wax is very cool, (cool enough to mix with your finger) and it still turns out shitty. The only time it doesn't is when I use soy wax, which never gives me a problem. But paraffin... what am I doing wrong?
2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoHow do I fix the heater on my 2001 kia sephia?
I have a 2001 kia sephia (the previous owners beat on this car BADLY) and the heater does not work, neither does the A/C, When you turn the knobs, the heat does absolutely nothing. the previous owners ripped the dash off to put in a CD player (morons) and I think they completely disassembled the wiring. Where should I start, and what are the potential possibilities? mechanics all tell me they wouldn't even know where to begin to fix it. so who could I take it to for this particular problem All help is appreciated!

1 AnswerCar Audio1 decade agoIs a 2001 Kia Sephia a good buy for 800 dollars?
It has 140.000 miles, and the right side is slightly damaged. It also needs a bolt in the front right tire towards the underneath. Motor sounds great and it runs fine, I drove it myself. How much is this model to maintain, and do they have a record of certain things going bad?

1 AnswerGarden & Landscape1 decade agoI have to write a critique on the film "The Piano"?
I have to write a critique (Like a review) on the film, "The Piano" directed by Jane Campion. What are some of your favorite scenes from the film, and what aspects of the direction, cinematography, mise-en-scene (ETC) made the scene so powerful? I love the shot in the beginning when Holly Hunter is sitting with her daughter, and reaches her hand in to play the piano, and the ending. Yours? What did you dislike about the film?
