OK, first off I'm catholic, but the thing is, i have issues concerning the way of the church.

1 - confessions to the priest - i don't believe in it, i don't think no man can absolve anyone from sin, and unless i miss some verse in the bible somewhere, even the apostles didn't absolve anyone from sin but only God and Jesus Christ. to this point, how can a priest (i consider an agent/spy of the church) absolve someone from anything?

2 - concerning sins - they say that after confession and if you repent and change your ways you are cleanse of your sins. so, if i kill someone randomly then repent afterwards and regret, i am absolved of such sin? i don't think so, though i believe if someone sins and repented will be save from eternal condemnation, i don't think that someone wont get chastise severely for what they've committed. then why they say that you are absolved? kindly refute me in this if you will, i want to hear your views.

3 - can someone explain to me about the parable of the "unclean spirit"? i don't seem to quite understand that part. :p

4 - by the way, concerning the resurrection, is this some kind of reincarnation to the next life? i heard from some that you don't get to live again until judgement day, but some also says that if you're miserable in this life now maybe because you've done something bad in your previous life. I'm confuse, as to what really is ?

P.S. to ATHEIST(s) - i know i cant stop you from expressing your views but if you wont mind i respectfully ask you to please be considerate of others and their beliefs.

my friend here believe in God, but is it possible for an asian to become a jewish or is it just a race and wont be generally accepted?

ok here's a situation:

a crime occurred on a neighborhood, then one afternoon the man from out of nowhere, whom nobody recognize and have no residence in the near vicinity came to the police to confess what he has done.

although from various investigations they've found no traces of him being in the scene.

my question: does the confession make up for as evidence by itself?

PS - its not murder, just theft. and the item stolen was not recovered from the man.

just simple question:

i always like USA for their ideals and freedom, but frankly im very much disappointed by this one. they've gone so far for such and yet at the very end they have traded only such gift with immorality. typical of people, once they get too much of it, they now tend to abuse it.

now i see why more and more people hates the US so much everyday - where most reasons because they tend to occupy other countries with military bases (im cool with it), but this one really bums me out.

i read an article where a man apparently donated his life-savings of $140,000 retirement for slogans and such. apparently believing Harold Campings research on the bible.

my question would be, if anyone knows how in hell does HCamping calculate his estimates that the end of world suppose to be? i mean what formula is he using? did he multiply every number in the bible?

if one is to choose, which is much worse, those that doesn't believe that God exist or those who believe God exist but practice a different religion? why?

im a little confuse about this.

can anyone in your high religious position (pope equivalent) add or take anything ( written word or order ) from the holy quran?

why did some ima'am (cleric equivalent i think) says its a sin to touch or associate w/ non-believers(infedels) and some dont. and many for things like making some objects no matter harmless to moral and such be banned in public and condemned.

so i got a 7 year old nephew here (a smart a$s).

we just watch some news about the attacks on new years (about the mass killings and bombings and all). then out of nowhere he ask me these things.

are all muslims bad? i said no. not all people are alike.

are they not taught the same about their religion? i said yes, they have the same scriptures i think.

then how come you said not all are alike? - ...duh !! (ok here is where i need help explaining to this smart ***.)

im not kidding here...im being outsmarted by a 7 yr old.
