  • My husband is going out of town for 2 months--What can I do to occupy my time?

I am a housewife without kids. My husband is going out of town for 2 months for work. What's worse is, I am in a new area, so my friends are few and far between. I need ideas of things that can keep me busy.

It's so bad that I am intentionally not cleaning the house in anticipation of having a clean a thon when he leaves--but of course that's just 1 day, not 2 months.

We are newly married....i think this is NO FUN!

  • What can go on my clit that is safe?

We've tried things like bengay and vicks, and it turns me on, but it's just not strong enough for me. I want something that makes me cry but makes me horny at the same time. I heard that pepper is a good option. I heard ginger is too. What do you recommend that won't cause any long term problems but is still strong enough to make me wince in pain?

  • Is this an appropriate cost for an engagement ring?

    Considering these facts:

    Age-29

    Annual salary-100k

    Total savings-200k

Is it spending 12k total on a bridal set ok? Too much, too little?

  • How big is your rock? How big do you want it?

I'm just curious as to how big everyones engagement ring is. I've heard anything from .30 to 1.5 carats being average, so who knows anymore. I'm also interested in its cut, if you know. Also, what it cost (not so we can compare but just to see how much everyone seems to think is appropriate.) What percentage of salary is that, and how old wer eyou when you got it.

If you don't have one--dream...what would it be ?

  • PCOS and pregnancy? Can Metformin do the deed?

I didn't have periods for a long time but I started taking metformin, and now i get them about every 38 days or so. Can I get pregnant from metformin alone? Can it actually make my periods normal/regular when they haven't been for 4 years?

  • how big is your engagement ring?

If you don't have it yet, how big is the one you're getting? Where'd you get it from, how much did it cost? Hate to be rude, but am trying to get a feel for what type of bling people are getting.

Oh, what is your profession, and how old are you?

  • what size diamond ring do you have?

Ladies... What size diamond rings do you have? What size is the center stone? How much did it cost? What percent of income is that for you? Or was it at the time? What other diamond jewelry do you own?

  • I need help finding a song for my first dance at my wedding.?

HELP! My wedding is less than 3 weeks away and we don't have a first dance song. I prefer something sentimental, but current. We tend to lean more towards country music, but will be open to any song.

    Ideas pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • How are we doing financially?

posted this a few days ago but realize I didn't give enough detail...Here it goes...

    Income-105k a year

    Mortgage 117@5.35% (30 year fixed)

    Home equity-38k

    Liquid-15k

    Semi liquid 6k

    Investments (roth, ira and stocks)--94k

    401K-25k

    Annuity 5k

Another 26k to be paid to us in july (funds in transfer already)

Our budget will allow us to save 1000 to 1500 a month after taxes (not including the 5% for 401k, which I never factor in, because I never receive)

Little cash poor, I know, due to wedding, honeymoon(paid off already), house buying, ring buying, etc...

Expect to start fertility treatment at 400-2000 a month in july, but in jan could cost more if I haven't conceived yet. (Dr thinks it's a certainty because we both have mild factors, but is also convinced we will NOT need invitro, but I like to play worst case scenarios).

I want to know, all things considered, how are we doing. We are 25 and 29. We'd like to retire by 56 and 60 respectively. I know some of y'all answered this before, but I didn't give full information.

Also, when we talk to different people, we get the feeling that most people at our age are where we are or ahead of us, but that simply can't be true based upon what i've heard thru statistics. How are we doing compared to MOST in our age group? Keep in mind we live in Texas, not NYC. Some days I think we're doing really well, and others I think of how far we have to go till we can retire and how fast the time goes. Thanks for the help/perspective. Y'all were really insightful the first time around, but this may help even more

  • How am I doing financially?

It's hard to know how we really stack up compared to everyone else, because everyone lies about their finances...so, how am I doing?

We make a combined income of 105k a year

We owe 117k on a home (worth 155k)

We have 15k in our savings account

    125k in investments

    5k in an annuity

No credit card debt, no car loans (though I will need a new car in a year or two)

    We are 25 and 29

We're just now getting married, so unable to save something monthly (althought predicting about a 1000 dollar savings per month starting in July)

    Are we saving enough?

Are we ready to have a child?

Can we afford fertility treatment if need be (up to 30k)?

  • I am a size 28. Does anyone know where I can find a wedding dress in Houston to fit me?

I don't want to order online--I want to be able to go in and try on! Thanks.
