What is the difference between SOPA and PIPA?
What are the differences between the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) that are currently being debated?
Is it only that SOPA is in the House and PIPA is in the Senate or are there other differences?
Please and thank you :)
1 AnswerGovernment10 years agoSo what's the difference between a POLL and a SURVEY?
1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoA question about Violation Appeals on Y!A?
Okay, I have nothing against the use of appeals to reinstate answers or questions. I think that's a good system. Perhaps a little corrupted as I personally have never had an appeal which actually succeeded, but good in theory.
My question is: Why do users lose 10 points for a denied appeal? What does Yahoo have against people who try to get wrongfully deleted content reinstated? Is Yahoo trying to discourage us from sending in appeals in the first place, or is this a punishment for getting a Violation that in many cases was only the work of spiteful trolls?
Answers would be appreciated, thanks.

If its in a CD sleeve (not a jewel case) and mailed in a standard size yellow clasp envelope does it only require one 42cent stamp? Or should use two just in case?

24 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agook, so I'm just wondering: WHY don't hardcore vegans eat eggs or drink milk?
eggs are natural, don't kill animals (unless they're fertilized) and are healthy. Plus, the chickens are going to lay them anyway.
And don't say because eggs are baby chicks because not ALL eggs hatch.
And milk is healthy, natural, not killing anything, and is produced whether you drink it or not so you might as well.
just wondering, not trying to offend
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoHarry Potter fans: Where/when did McGonagall get the nickname "Minnie"?
I was just wondering if this was actually in the books or just a fan thing. If it's from the books, which one is it in?
Also, did the marauders give her this nickname?
thanks!

9 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agowait a second- WHY is the world ending September 10, 2008?
can anybody tell me what the reasoning behind this theory is?
is it like an asteriod, wrath of God, massive flood... what?
I just want to know WHY it's supposed to be ending.
also, is the December 2012 end of the world still on, or is this just that end of the world being moved foward? I'm confused.
7 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoWhat would it take to get YOU to convert?
What would someone have to do and/or say to get you personally to change your religious (or lack of) belief? (As in God appearing before you, new scientific evidence, a Buddha statue coming to life in front of you, ect.)
And don't say stuff like "nothing" or "I'd never convert for anything." Because that's kind of a load of crap.

11 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoon a scale of 5- 62 with 17 being the best how would you rate the way Yahoo Answers works?

15 AnswersPolls & Surveys1 decade agoSpiritually speaking, does anybody else find Ernie Chamber's suing of God...
completely hilarious?
read this if you have no idea what I'm talking about: http://www.ketv.com/news/14133442/detail.html. or google (I mean yahoo) "suing God"
As a Christian myself, it seems that a lot of other Christians find it offensive or degrading to God, but I just think it's funny.
So what are your thoughts about this?
and no word yet on if God will make a court appearance :)
