  • Atheists, do you ever get bored of rebelling? ?

Hi I think atheism is nothing more than a rebellion against percieved and accepted wisdom.

There is so much out there to indicate a higher power but some people seem keen on wallowing in their own importance that they might miss out on some of the good stuff, which is sad

  • Who here believes in subliminal messaging?

Oh wait this isn't a question of belief and connection it's a question of control.

Look, the world isn't perfect, but I'm getting a bit tired of hate and fear being used to get us to buy rubbish.

Maybe just maybe we are all starting to feel that same fear due to it's exploitation by certain people and hey companies and websites.

You reap what you sow, and the world has sown a lot of hate in the last few years.

The neglect of one another and the open disdain shown towards people of faith has been pretty shocking.

But hey who needs "the rapture tm" when you own a Porsche (tm).

RESPECT!!!! That's why I believe in, it's about individual decisions. Make yours, don't force them on the world. You can only directly change your own viewpoint.

The world is getting good again, and we all have a certain duty. Some people are helping the environment, others communities, others individuals. Stop the hate thats what i say!

  • Has law and authority been undermined by freedom or vice versa?

Do you believe that freedom infringes on notions of law and authority- and by that I mean justice and national security as well-

Or do you believe that our freedoms are being lost to draconian laws limiting our choices and civil liberties?

  • What is the best definition of the word weird?

Hi, personally I get fed up of the word weird constantly being attached to what isn't understood.

I think it is out of laziness and fear that people don't attempt to establish guidelines for living their own lives so instead aim to point out the differences in the way other people conduct their own lives.

I had a really weird dream? Oh, me personally I had dream 406 from the Ministry of Sleep again- it was just as adequate as the last time.

Is McDonalds weird? A clown selling nuggets? That seems strange, but no it becomes established and unquestioned as a norm.

    Jeans? Weird.

Television? It's people talking in a tiny box, but oh no again its normal just because everyone looks at it.

I may have lost the point here, which is NORMAL but still you get the picture.

  • Collective phrases of fear?

Can words truly be harmful in depicting individuals within society?

Do they form idenitity or reflect it?

Are they necessary to define people and the world?

Is this more than one question?

  • Any advice on an particular obsession I've got?

    Hi-

I'm pretty desperately in need of some help. Whether it is due to previously low self esteem, or mildly traumatic past incidents I've got a pretty obsessional fetish.

To be honest I'm not going to say what it is, other than that its legal. It's jeoporadising my chances of long term connections with women and sanity in general.

Would you advise going cold turkey (not fantasising about cold turkeys obviously) or counselling or something else? Or should I just accept it? I'm Ron Burgeondy?

Seriously, any advice would be appreciated

  • Is this a dream?

I've had a recurring dream that there is a magical extra world where people can communicate with each other, despite not being in the same room or even village as one another!

The dream continues though, as this magic world enables a total and utter intrusion into other people's lives, and allows them to examine all aspects of your own!

This world enables instant access to whatever desires lie dorment in our hearts, and has allowed people to disregard thought in order to immediately gain an answer to whatever they need, or ""need""" to know.

THen I woke up and stopped being a luddite, realising this type of world could spread peace and allow fellow minds to unite and discuss and even differ peacefully.

    Am I stupid?

  • Are more people morons today than previously?

Sorry to be harsh but in spite of the great increase in education standards (at least in clearly quantative terms such as money and grades) within the UK, more people now seem to be rude braindead morons who take a pride in the act of interrupting other people's lives.

I hate it when people just feel the need to say something. Anything- you know they can't restrain themselves. Morons.

Anyway I guess the question is why? Well the question was actually 'is' but in retrospect it should be why.
