A wise man by the name of George Carlin once said: Life is not that complicated. You get up, you go to work, you eat three meals, you take one good sh*t and you go back to bed. What's the f***ing mystery?

  • Can I have 2 jobs as a minor?

I'm 16 (17 in a month) and I just got a job offer that I want to accept. I already have a job, but the job doesn't provide me with enough hours to cover my expenses. On minimum wage, I need to work 20 hours to cover expenses and have plenty to save for college. My question is this: Can I hold two jobs as a 17 year old and if so, am I only allowed to work 20 hours total OR 20 hours in each job (total 40)?

By the way, I live and work in Washington State.

  • How can I make money?

I've been looking for a job lately, but I've had no luck finding one. It seems that employers are only hiring before the holidays and in the summer, and since I just turned sixteen in November, I didn't have luck finding a job before Christmas.

That leaves summer, but I have some plans for spring break that involve, well, a bit of money. Not much, but more than what I currently have.

In the mean time, I hoped that I could somehow make a couple of extra bucks (I don't expect to be rich by spring. 500 dollars should do. Possibly less.). However I don't exactly know where to begin.

I don't have any particularly outstanding skills, though I am a good math student and a decent writer (when I chose the topic.). Only two things came to mind; investing in the stock market and writing a blog, the latter of which I think is unrealistic, as to begin making any money, I'd have to have a lot of readers. The stock market also seems unrealistic, seeing as I don't have much to invest and penny stocks take a lot of work.

I'm out of ideas. Please help. Thanks

    PS. No prostitution....

  • What do I need to do to download HL2:Deathmatch via Steam?

Are these offers over? I keep seeing people online saying that they still work but every time I try to download them via the link in the page, a small window from Steam pops up and says "Specified subscription is not available."

What does that mean? How can I fix it? I'd love to get these games. Thanks.

  • Could you help me solve this?

    The question reads: log3(x) + log3(x-6) - 2log9(x) = 1

(by the way thats log base 3 and log base 9)

    I didn't get so far.

    log3(x^2 -6x) + log9(x) = 1

    (log(x^2 -6x)/log(3))/(log(x)/log(9))

    Please help and explain...

  • Book Recommendations Website?

Is there a website where I can rate books I've read and get recommendations based on my interests and ratings?

Sort of like Netflix recommendations, only for books...

I ask this because I don't read often because I don't find an awful lot of books interesting. Recently I've read 'Life of Pi' by Yann Martel (I recommend it. A must-read.) and I think its an amazing book so I'd like to read more books like that. I've also read 'Night' by Elie Wiesel and apart from those two anything else has been forgotten...

  • What is a good gaming PC?

I was wondering where I could buy a gaming PC and what I should look for in one. I was thinking of buying an XBox or a PS3 but I am now wondering if I should buy a gaming PC.

I'm not really that tech-savvy. I know little to nothing about computers, although I know mine can't run many games. I wan't a computer, preferably a laptop, that can run a decent amount of games of decent quality. I am not looking for Crysis-quality gaming. I don't really know what price range I should have, since I don't know what I'm getting myself into so just tell me the cheapest things you can think of.

    Thanks!

  • Divorce and properties bought during marriage?

If a couple (with 2 kids) wanted to end a marriage in which only one of them provided an income for the family for the entire marriage (close to 20 years), are properties bought within the marriage split 50/50?

I understand that in most cases here in the US, properties are split between the two but it is also common here that both man and woman work and bring income into the home. What if only the man works? Shouldn't he get most if not all of it?
