  • Has anyone has this happen between there kitten and dog?

I have a young male kitten about 5 mths old now and in the last few days he has started spooking my b itch by trying to feed off of her, she hasn't had puppys so doesn't hae milk and never has had milk.

The dogs is just under 2 and is ok with the kitten doing this now, the first couple of times she look really worried and scared.... I have checked with the vet and she doesnt see a problem with this as the dog now moves to make it easiler for the kitten and is very content with it happening.....

Has anyone else experienced this??? I have heard of dogs nursing kittens but not when there is no milk to be had.....

  • Introducing a new rabbit to my grumpy mean girl!!?

This may seem like an easy one but it aint!! I have been around rabbits since I was born and have introduced rabbits in the past with great sucess! During the winter of 06 I lost my two rabbits so last year I found pair of rabbits I really liked both rex x lion one light brown (butter) the other black (scotch), they got one wonderful had always been together both neutered. But after 3 months butter attacked scotch saddly her injures where to bad and she was put to sleep. since then we have twice tried introduce a new play friend both neutered males one very sumissive and lazy he other sumissive but playful. Both times she settled well but after a month of live with them she has attacked them!

I have three hutches and two runs!! One hutch and run is butter's where she lives alone! A second hutch for the new one to live in with *his* run! both runs get put close together and then next to each other then during days they spend time with out a divider between the runs till eventually they go in the third hutch to live together. All is fine and wonderful but after a month or so butter attacks the other rabbit and I mean attacking there is no play here!!

What am I doing wrong? What kind of rabbit would be best with her?

  • Fusing spine?

My 12 year old boxer x beagle, was diaginosed with her spine fusing in november 07. She was thought to have arthrus in her hips, so the vets finally desided it was worth doing x-rays, and discovered spine had started to fuse together.

The vet said this was quite commen on older dogs, I was wondering if anyone here has come across it and could prewarn me what to expect with her.

She is starting to get a little more stiff lately and is having trouble getting up on the 'dog' sofa. She is also getting to the point where we cant take her out on walks as she is getting aggressive when other dogs go near her back end.

Any previews of whats to come next would be gladly accepted.

  • Rabits relationship has gone from brill to bad!?

We got two Resue Rabbits about 4 mths ago, we were told they were both drawf lops (although I feel one of them may have a bit of lionhead). They were four months old when we got them and had been housed together from quiet a young age, and had been getting on really well. But over the last couple of weeks the biggest, Scotch, has been chasing and attacking the smallest, Butter. Which seems to be stressing Butter as she now spends most of her time sat in the corner of her cage, room or run.

Any ideas what could be causing this and how to try to sort it?
