Selling Options?
Why should I care about theoretical value? Markets are usually efficient and Theo value is somewhere between the bid and the ask.
Why should I care about volatility? If I sell an option and delta-hedge it, I really don't care about TV once I sell it. Once I sell an option I do not ever plan to buy it back. The only thing volatility means to me is that I may not be getting properly compensated for the current realized risk if volatility rises after I paid for it, but at the time I got a fair price. It seems mostly irrelevant though because I never intend to buy back the option.

5 AnswersGovernment7 years agocan china be stopped?
seems like china has developed the perfect counter to the US military: extreme anti-air, air superiority fighters, and carrier killing hypersonic missiles and a budget and population that can power a war machine. seems like china cannot be stopped.

13 AnswersMilitary7 years agomachine gun class 3 sears?
I am not poor anymore thank you, making solid money. I am thinking about buying a machine gun for investment purposes and for a little fun on the range when i get some time (too busy making money though). So the quesiton is, if I buy a cheap machine gun say a mac-10, can i transfer that onto say another rifle like a semiauto ar-15 or better yet, a semi-auto m-60?
Its confusing because the HK sears make it sound like you buy 1 machinegun you have them all because you can drop in the sear into any gun.
3 AnswersHunting8 years agoNot getting a job interview?
So I am a highly productive employee and was shcoked to find out that my lesser coworkers got involved in an interview and I did not even find out except through second hand. Does this mean anything or am I reading too much into this?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment8 years agoA way out of the debt cycle = war?
It is true that a creditor that no longer exists cannot collect on any outstanding debt. It is also true that debts are enforced by law and that if such law is no longer enforceable such debts are invalid.
Thus the only way out of the debt cycle is for there to be a great war.

I have 150k cash what is the best way to grow this to a million safely? I assume that as my wealth increases low risk opportunities should open up for me that are either too small-time for rich people and certainly out of reach for the majority of poor people out there.

14 AnswersPolitics8 years agoname brand clothes worth it?
So I walked into a Nordstrom and looked at this 300 versace shirt and asked the black sales guy where is the value added? He gave me a rather disapproving stare and pointed to this tiny metal square on the bottom right shirt. I did not bother to point out that this shirt is probably worth more than his entire day's wages.
In terms of valuation, how does an otherwise completely ordinary looking shirt that I cna't tell if it came from TJ MAXX sell for more than a xbox, which is loaded with technology?
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories8 years agoQuestions on AMD 2384 Opteron?
I dug up an old server board I bought years back for couple grand, used a total of 12 hours, talk about ROI :) I'm thinking about bringing it back from the dead. is this still a worthy processor? I will be doing mostly compiling code with it. It will cost me anywhere from $100-$500 to rehab it. Would that money be better spent buying a new sandy bridge setup? That will set me back anywhere from $2-3k and possibly over.
1 AnswerDesktops9 years agoWhy invest in dividend stocks?
It is well known that stock prices drop after the dividend date. So whatever you gain in dividend, which is also a taxable event, you lose in equity.
