  • Why does he say something meaningful then joke about it?

I have this guy I flirt with a lot but sometimes we’ll talk more seriously and he’ll say something meaningful then joke about it. Like I was having a bad day and I told him he didn’t have to worry about me though. Then he said but I always worry... I mean what and started laughing as in brushing off what he said. Why does he always do that?

  • Should I ask him out?

I’ve never been in this position before. I’m 24F and he is probably in his 40s. I don’t know why but I’m so attracted to him and just want to jump his bones. He flirts with me occasionally, is it ok to ask him out? Or can I just give him my number on a piece of paper next time I see him? Or is it best to leave it or see if he will make a move because of the age difference?

  • Is this a date or just friends?

A guy I know asked if I’d like to grab coffee as he enjoys our chats. Thing is I’m 24F and I think he is probably late 40s. Is this likely to be as friends or a date?

  • How do I tell him I want to go on a date?

So a guy at work asked me to coffee the other week. He said he didn’t want my answer right away, he wanted me to think on it and let him know. I went on a 2 week holiday but don’t think he realises because now he’s avoiding me and really standoffish. I want to go on a date with him but how do I tell him this? It’s awkward when we talk now because I think he thinks I rejected him?

Plus we work in different departments so don’t actually have to see each other at work so dating is fine.

  • My work review was bad, should I talk to my manager?

So I’ve been working at my current job for 8 months full time. I work hard, always work extra shifts (6 or 7 days a week non stop), do everything to a high standard. We got our performance review and mine was very low, I miss out on a raise but I’m not fussed on the money, I’m annoyed that none of my current skills were reflected in the review, I mainly got 1s and 2s out of 5 for all areas I excel in. This could be because I’m a night time worker and I was reviewed by the day manager I never see. Should I bring this up? Should I bring it up with my manager or the boss of the business? Not sure if I should leave it instead of making a fuss

  • I’m the least favourite sibling, am I overreacting?

When my sister turned 18 my dad bought her a $5000 car. When I turned 21 I got $1000 which I was very grateful for. My brother has just turned 21 and he bought him a $15000 car. It really annoys me because I’ve worked hard my whole life where my siblings just live the party lifestyle and blow all their savings. Am I being petty by being annoyed at something like this? I feel so angry at my dad right now and hurt that he doesn’t see me the same as them

  • How to ask to be a team leader at work?

    Hey guys,

So I work for a large supermarket chain in the deli department. Currently at night time I’m the only full time person so I’m the go to person for all problems already and I’m a few years older than the other staff so one of the more mature ones. I want to ask my manager if I can turn my position into a leadership position but not sure how to ask. If I ask her will it just look like I’m after more pay? Which doesn’t even worry me. Some staff don’t listen to me because we’re the same position so I thought it might help with that? Any advice welcome

  • Is it normal to feel like this after a friend commits suicide?

So two weeks ago one of my good friends committed suicide and I was the one who found the body. I’m doing ok but sometimes I just get triggered by random things and I’ll flashback to when I found the body. And it’ll make me short on breath, upset and faint like I need to sit down. Is this common? I’m in the process of starting to see a psychologist but was just wondering if it’s a normal reaction

  • Why is my boss playing mind games?

So I had a new supervisor start at work about 6 weeks ago. First 5 weeks we became pretty good friends. He’d always come past my department frequently and chat and flirt quite a bit as well. The last week he has been avoiding me besides the odd hello but avoids my whole department when I’m there. But he will still sit with me in the break room and chat like normal. I don’t want to date him but I feel like we aren’t even really friends anymore either?

    Btw he is 39, I’m 24
