Does Television violence have a negative effect on society?

Experts believe that TV promotes violence. I strongly disagree that television violence has a negative effect on society. I think that it’s how the people behave in their daily lives and what they see around them. I also believe that it depends much on what they see around them and how people in their society behave. We shouldn’t confuse the effect of entertainment like (Games and TV) with the effect of personal experience and the moral ambiance of a given society.

The Nazis didn’t do what they did because of they were watching violence programs. People didn’t make black people slaves because of television violence. The Japanese people didn’t establish Unit 731 because of it either. It’s just part of our history. There is evidence because there wasn’t any television back then, but there was a lot of hate and cruelty.

I strongly disagree how television could have a negative effect towards society. A few years ago people had a test whether TV promoted violence. The results showed that people who spend time watching TV and playing video games actually have smarter IQs. For example, Japanese TV is the most violent in the world, but the country has one of the lowest murder rates. Also, a number of studies have demonstrated that children see the difference between cartoon and real world violence.

In real life, we rarely see any violence happening. Studies show that most people never saw anyone dead or let alone murdered, yet we can see it one hundred times a day without giving it a thought. On the other hand, people think that the viewers are influenced by the negative impact of TV violence everyday through violent shows.

I'm not done yet, can anyone give me examples to put on the 4th paragraph and what should i say for my concluding paragraph..im stuck LOL

  • Can anyone check my personal narrative essay ? thanks ! best gets 10 points :D?

It was a nice Summer Morning. My parents, uncle, aunt, and I were going to go eat breakfast at Norms, but something happened. I heard a loud slam at the door. I didn’t realize my finger was slammed on the door! I stood there in pain and a little curious how the happened to me. Then, I saw blood dripping. I let out a loud shriek and my mom running towards me; she looked scared and frightened. She took me into the house and laid me down on the closest sofa. I was in pain and I saw my flesh was half hanging from one of my fingers. It was so disgusting I couldn't bring myself to look at it and tried to not think about it while I hoped for the pain to go away. It felt like something was cutting through my fingers continuously. I lay on the couch stiff as a board, while my parents talked frantically.

Suddenly, my vision wasn’t clear anymore. I remember things starting to spin. My hearing changed too. It hurt so bad my little six year old body and mind couldn’t handle it. I could only hear the faint sounds of my parents and aunt panicking. I lost consciousness for about eight hours. Woke up on my bed, and I looked at my fingers to see if they were okay. I saw a band-aid wrapped around my ring finger and noticed that it was bruised from the door. I felt so much better and relieved when I realized my finger wasn’t chopped off. My mom gave me some ice for the swelling to go down. After four weeks my finger was back to normal, but it still had a very ugly scar until this day.

It wasn’t my dad’s fault. He was the one who thought no one was there so he closed the door on me. It was me, I was stupid enough to put my finger in the door way. I do regret how my finger got jammed in the door, but I learned how much my parents loved me. I feel blessed that have a mom and dad who cared so much for me. Every day I count my blessings and think how grateful I am to have a mother and father who love me. I cannot imagine my life any differently without them. One thing is for certain: it just wouldn’t be the same.

I need to make it a bit longer and if you find anything incorrect can you guys fix it ? thank you !
